Three black werecat orphan brothers are trying their best to find a home when they are finally adopted. Everything goes great with their new family until tragedy strikes and they are left with an unexpected guardian.

This story is about an average high school boy with an average lifestyle who likes to read novels especially fantasy ones and was transferred to another world along with his classmates from his school.

As they were transferred our protagonist, John Kaiser, was the sole student among his classmates who were left behind, leaving him all alone in their classroom.

As he was wondering what happened to the others, he remembered one of the novels he had read. It was a story of a fantasy world, where a king of a human kingdom summons heroes from another world to save their world from the demon king, a typical Isekai (Another World)  fantasy novel.

Our protagonist, John Kaiser, started to contemplate and question 'why?' why was he the only one not summoned?

And as his questions go crazy, a light emerges from the place where he was sitting.

Is this the start of our protagonist's fantasy adventure as a hero? Or will he live the same life again as an average person even in another world?

The Classic of Cats Appreciation explained by Wu Mingzhen had attracted the attention of many people. It had even significantly elevated the enthusiasm of the customers on purchasing pets. After a while, there were two customers who decided to buy pets. The girl wearing glasses was so embarrassed that she blushed and felt like she had become the negative example. She had learned that her old belief was incorrect. She shouldn't choose a kitten that was less than three months old. She regretted that she did not accept Zhang Zian's explanation. 
Seeing the looks of mockery and ridicule that many people were giving the girl, her boyfriend tried to divert the topic quickly. "We understood the first half of your sentence, that a kitten shouldn't leave its mother too soon, or it will suffer from poor health in the future. What does the latter part of your sentence mean?" 
"Yes, tell us the meaning of the second part of your sentence!" the customers echoed after him. 
Having only explained the meaning of the first half of the sentence, Wu Mingzhen neglected the latter half of the sentence, which made a lot of people with OCD feel as though there was a pain in their neck. 
Before he had a chance to answer, another girl with short hair chimed in, "Mr. Store Manager, I am a loyal audience of Snowy's live broadcast channel, and I've watched a few programs with you on them. For the sake of Snowy, could you please tell me if my kitten will get sick? I had it at home before it turned one month old. According to The Classic of Cats Appreciation, does that mean it will be afflicted with diseases when it grows up? Is there any way to make its body healthy?" The trepidation and anxiety on her face clearly indicated that she was very concerned about her kitten. 
Wu Mingzhen glanced at Zhang Zian, smiled, and did not answer. 
Zhang Zian understood that Wu Mingzhen intended to test him, but he did not know about "Calotes Versicolor." Just when he was about to excuse himself to go to the bathroom, so that he could Google it or ask Sun Xiaomeng for help, he heard Old Time Tea say to him, "No worries, Zian, just restate my words to them."

Zhang Zian absolutely believed in the authority of Old Time Tea's words. After he finished speaking, he stood there perkily and enjoyed the gazes of admiration from the crowd. Of course, there was also Fina's look of contempt among the crowd, but he chose to ignore it for the time being.
Not only were the other people enchanted by his words, but Wu Mingzhen was also filled with deep respect for Zhang Zian. "Is it really effective to eat Calotes Versicolor?" another person raised a doubt. 
"Well," Zhang Zian asked him instead, "is it effective to eat ginseng?" 
"I think so, why else would it be so expensive?" said that person. 
"Since Calotes Versicolor has the reputation of 'ginseng for cats', it should be effective. Of course, as dietetic therapy, it won't become effective very soon. Besides, cats don't necessarily have to eat Calotes Versicolor. It should be sufficient for cats if they are provided with a balanced nutrition, an appropriate amount of raw meat, and a regular health examination. As for your languished kitten, you can take it to a pet hospital for an examination, which will be better than reckless diet therapy," Zhang Zian advised the girl with short hair. 
The girl with short hair kept nodding. "I see. I'm accompanying my friends to select cats today. I will take it for examination when I go back."

Otherwise, how would I sell cats in the future?" 
Wu Mingzhen smiled and thought this indeed made sense. Pet shop owners needed to sell cats all year round, they couldn't just open business for half a year and close the other six months. Although he liked pets, he did not sell pets, so he didn't put much thought into this aspect. 
In fact, Zhang Zian didn't quite believe in this saying, but some people did. In ancient China, everything was divided into Yin and Yang. There was a particular attention that had been paid to the harmony between Yin and Yang. In the eyes of the ancients, cats were an animal inclined to the spectrum of Yin, and cats born between February 2nd and July 14th carried more Yang energy to balance their Yin attributes. C12 said once all the synths were all lined up for the next day's physical training class, "That my order for you to shower after training yesterday was considered 'inefficient' by many of you" They paced before them with their strange limp, glowering at the synths standing before them in the front row and observing those whose ears started to twitch with anxiety.
 
"Well… My apologies for this lack of forethought." they said, sarcasm dripping from every syllable, "I'll ensure that I make the most of every second from now on."
 
TO wanted to find the synths who had been complaining and smack them over the head. It had been good to get out of the training room early and have a chance to shower. What was their problem? Why did they complain?
 
"Take position." C12 barked. They all stood as they had been taught the day before, their feet shoulder width apart, their hands in very proper fists.
 
"Now." C12 said, "Show me how you punch."
 
They Synths were made to punch the air over and over as they had been taught the day before. Then they were taught to kick. The assistants went around as they had the day before, finding any weaknesses in form. TO got caught this time, their kick not quite fast enough. The assistant grabbed TO's leg as it came out, and in a move that was too fast to follow they pushed back and caused TO to fall backwards onto the floor behind them. DH was ready to dash over to help, but a quick warning glare from TO kept them in their position. TO pulled themselves back up and corrected their kicking.
 
"That could have really hurt you." DH grumbled once the assistant was out of earshot.
 
"It didn't though." TO said, though their ears twitched as they said that, "Ok. It hurt a little, but I should have been faster."
 
Halfway through the class, training multi-guns were brought out, and targets were set on the walls.
 
"Normally I'd wait to bring out the training guns." C12 said as the guns were passed out, "But since you're all so desperate to train, I figured we'd start early." They held up their own training multi-gun in their hand. Bit by bit they tediously showed them every part of the gun, and the precise way they were supposed to hold it and aim. TO was certain that learning some weapon proficiency was going to be similar to learning how to punch properly - tedious and slow.
 
They weren't wrong.
 
After two more hours of learning just how to hold the multi-gun, learning how to aim, and learning every aspect of multi-gun safety, they were all allowed to take a single shot at the targets at the opposite end of the training room. They all missed. The multiguns handled far differently than the lasers in the simulations; they were harder to control and aim.
 
"Excellent. " C12 said, their tone flat, their hands behind their back as they watched every shot miss. "None of you managed to shoot yourself in the foot." They checked their implant, "Now then. There's two minutes until our training is complete for the day. So, Go ahead and do two minute planks for me. Now. "
 
Wordlessly, they all got down to do as they were asked. Well, wordlessly, but TO was cursing the other synths in the back of their mind every second of the two minutes. When they were finally dismissed and sent to meal time, their muscles aching, their bodies dripping with sweat, and TO's silent ongoing rant still going on.

After TO, GiDi, and DH got their lunch, TO led them not to their dormitory, but to the empty showers.
 
"What are we doing here?" DH asked as they entered the cavernous room, their voice echoing in the emptiness.
 
"Showering. Eating." TO said as they pulled off their uniform. They didn't bother put it into a locker this time, they wanted to hang it up to dry somewhere. They draped their uniform pipe that ran in front of an air exchange before they sat down naked on a bench and started to eat. When DH and GiDi simply stared at them, TO shrugged, "Look, I'm not going to work all afternoon drenched in sweat. I'll eat fast, shower, and hopefully my uniform will be half dry by the time I need to go to my assignment."
 
GiDi and DH exchanged looks, but then wordlessly changed out of their uniforms and hung them up before sitting down and eating their own food.
 
"You're angry, aren't you?" DH asked TO.
 
"Yes, I'm angry!" TO snapped, "We had a great thing. Yes, Training was tedious, but we got to leave early for our second meal. We got to shower and get all the sweat off of ourselves before we went to our next assignment, and we had longer to eat! But because those… those…" they growled as they shoved food into their mouth, frustrated by their inability to think of something to call the other synths that had complained.
 
"Those short-sighted automatons!" TO said finally, "They were so damn concerned over the schedule, over the use of water, and over efficiency– they didn't think it was probably more efficient long term to let us go and shower and have a longer break."
 
There was silence from the others. TO frowned and looked over to them, "What?"
 
"You've never been this mad before." GiDi said. TO suddenly realized that GiDi, with their ears pinned down and their eyes big and alert, looked frightened. "I thought you'd be happier since we were being left along now."
 
"I'm not… Well, I am mad, but I'm not angry at either of you." TO said, "And I am glad they're going to leave us alone, I'm just… Frustrated." They finished their meal, feeling as though they hadn't eaten anything at all since they had eaten so quickly, "I'm supposed to be one of the weird ones, right? We're the strange ones, but it's the normal ones that ruined everything."
 
"You realize that normal is another word for mediocre, yes?"
 
TO, GiDi, and DH froze as the voice of another synth echoed through the showers. TO hadn't expected anyone else to be there but as they turned to the source of the noise they saw C12 striding into the showers, heading for the closest one.
 
"Retiree C12." TO said, standing up and to attention. GiDi and DH followed their example, but stayed silent. "My apologies, I-"
 
C12 waved them off as they stepped into the shower and turned on the water, "Don't bother." they said. They let the water flow over them, and then looked over to the three synths, "Eating in the showers? That is strange though."
 
"We didn't have time to eat and shower, and our uniforms were soaked with sweat, Retiree." TO said, "So I figured it would be better to eat here while our uniforms dried, and take a quick shower before we had to go to our afternoon assignments."
 
"Fascinating." C12 said in their dry, deadpan tone. They looked away from the three synths , focusing on some spot high above them. "Still strange. Though, some would call it problem solving." They glanced back, frowning, "What, do you need my permission to sit down?"
 
TO could only stare back, unsure how to respond.
 
"Oh for…" C12 growled as they looked away again. "Go ahead, sit down. I don't care if you sit in my presence."
 
Exchanging worried glances with DH and Gidi, they sat down. Even though TO was done with their own meal they didn't think they should use one of the showers while C12 was. They didn't even consider that C12 would use the common showers– they figured that Retirees had their own showers hidden away somewhere.
 
"Are.. Are you going to report us, Retiree?" GiDi asked, their voice quiet and scared.
 
C12 didn't even look at them as they responded, "Now why would I do that?"
 
GiDi's ears twitched, their brows furrowed in confusion as they tilted their head, "Uh… we're not supposed to be in here?"
 
"Technically, it doesn't matter where you go during your meals, so long as you eat."
 
"But…" GiDi looked at TO and DH, who could only mirror the same expression of confusion, "But… Normal synths don't come to the showers during meal times."
 
"As I said, normal is another word for mediocre." They grabbed the soap, and quickly scrubbed themselves. "And here's a fun fact for you three, at this stage of your training? So long as you follow orders and don't make a nuisance of yourselves nobody is going to care much about what you do– you're considered at least partially useful at this point." They gave they a quick glance, "Especially after that little trick in the simulation. Good to see a synth use their brains for a change."
 
"You saw that?" TO said, their ears flicking down, "Why would you-"
 
"I like to keep an eye on potentially promising synths. All the simulations are recorded for observation."
 
"But… If we're..." TO felt a sudden jolt of fear go through them and they changed what they planned to say "If a synth behaves abnormally, won't they be corrected? Or repurposed?"
 
For a moment there was silence in the shower, save for the constant spray of water. "To an extent." C12 finally said, "If it's considered that you won't be able to perform your duties effectively, you'll be made effective one way or another." They glanced at them, "Why? Do you worry about being corrected?"
 
GiDi, TO, and DH looked at one another, confused and scared. Were they supposed to actually answer that? They knew that the proper answer would be a lie for them; to be corrected meant that they'd be more effective as tools to King Decon, and that should be a cause for celebration, not concern… But if they said that, C12 would see their ears twitching as they lied…
 
"Are you worried about being corrected." C12 asked again.
 
"...Yes." TO finally said, "We'd rather not be corrected."
 
"Good."
 
"Good?"
 
"Yes. Good." C12 turned off the water and turned to leave, "If you don't want to be corrected, you'll work harder to prove that you're useful as you are. That means we'll get more out of you."
 
"Even if we're strange?"
 
DH had asked the question, and TO could feel their own ears tilt back in fear as they heard the words leave DH's mouth.
 
C12 didn't seem to care as they strode past them, "I said normal is another word for mediocre. 'Strange' can be good or bad. Strange can mean you excel, or you fail spectacularly. Part of the reason I like to keep an eye on anyone I think might have some extra promise." They cast a quick glance at them as they passed by, heading to the lockers, "Just make sure you excel, follow your orders, and you can be as strange as you want. Mostly"
 
C12 paused as they were about to leave the showers and looked back at TO,"Oh, and you."
 
TO stood to attention, "Yes, Retiree?
 
C12 sighed as TO rose to their feet, but they didn't say anything about it. "You were saying that long term, it's more effective to have this longer break after training, correct?."
 
"Y-yes, Retiree."
 
"I assume you have an arguement behind this?"
 
"Yes."
 
"Interesting. Write up why."
 
"... Pardon?"
 
C12 smirked at them, "Write up why you think that, and send it to me." they said, "I wish to see your arguments."
 
Before TO could ask anything else, they were gone, leaving the three of them alone in the showers.

To be a synth is the greatest privilege an individual could be born into. What greater purpose or grander sense of fulfillment could one hope for than to be a tool of King Decon, the ruler of the Galaxy?
09T07 doesn’t know what more they want, but they know they’re missing something. Friendship? Intimacy? This seems to be the answer when they find others who are also not as King Decon intended them to be. However, how long can such things last among tools to be used and discarded? And how far are they willing to go to protect their loved ones in the face of duty?

Now that I have observed the surrounding and made a conclusion that I am in another world. I just can't help but curse my luck or fate or whatever for this situation. Many of you might even say, come on it's the famous isekai scenario show a little excitement. You can learn magic and even get a harem with elves or  beast girls. Nay, they may say you must have that harem, it's a man's dream or something. 

I guess you would need to look for a man, cause my dream is to sleep like there is no tomorrow. Chris used yawn. It's super effective, Chris fell asleep. zzz. zzz.

<Later>

I wake up to the burning sensation on my eyelids due to the rays of the sun coming through the windows. Before I open my eyes, I cry out 'it burns'. I roll around the bed to save myself from the monsters trying to kill me with all this light.

Anyhow, I wake up in a dark room in wet clothes. I blame the jug of water, that bastard making me wet when I am sleeping. I know it's you, I heard the heavens saying. Jug used splash on Chris. It's super effective, Chris is drenched. I'll have my revenge one day, jug. You hear me; when I grow up I will break you to pieces no matter what so watch your back.

Time to call reinforcements, so I use my special skill. Yes, I cried. What do you expect, I am only 2 days old at most. I can hardly move at all and you expect me to run around and go have an adventure or something. Mother arrives in a regal fashion, the way she moved exudes elegance and demanded respect and respect she got. Looking at her platinum hair and ruby eyes, my eyes would gleam in happiness and excitement. To think, I would fall in love at first sight with my own mother, who knew. 

She picks me and takes me for a bath. Oh my god, I have been corrupted. These weird feelings that I have and the butterflies in my stomach, burp! ... Ok so that was all lies. I mean except the love at first sight part but who doesn't. Stop thinking weird things, you're making me sick. It's the familial love not the other one, mind your dirty thoughts. Sick weirdos, I tell you.

So I had a bath and a change of clothes. Therefore, I am now ready to dwell on the age old question. Who exactly am I? I really need to know or the existential crisis will come up ... maybe not but that's how serious the situation is for me. Hmm... now that I think about it, where exactly am I, what am I, when am I? Technically, where am I born (world, continent, country, city, town, village, etc.) and yes, this is just for that word count for when I write my book; so screw you guys too. 

Anyways, my thoughts have been meandering quite a bit lately; is it because I am a baby or just because?
Am I really not dreaming? Am I the only one with this problem? Am I the hero (that would be funny)? Am I the villain( who knows, with my personality I might end up like that character who slept and awakened sin of sloth in him.)?

So thinking about it now, yes I said it again, so what? Continuing on, I think I should really meditate and try and sense the essence of the world or something.

Thus on this otherworld journey our hero takes his first step to being the best he can be, through meditation. Hero used meditation, hero is confused and used sleep; it's super effective, the hero fell asleep. zzz.

There are many people in the world out there, who dream of being reincarnated or transmigrated or summoned but sadly for those people, I am not one of them. I like my life the way it is and it's great.

Abel knew they were servant level vipers after looking at their shells, and behind them was the eye-catching green color claw viper.
It was Fangskin, the ruler of this place. It was quick. Moments ago, it was still at the very back, but it overtook the other vipers and salamanders. Even the firewall couldn't do much to it.
When a spirit guardian knight struck it, it utilized the momentum of its speed and slammed in the spirit guardian knight, knocking it back for a few steps.
Simultaneously, countless claw vipers and salamanders also caught up and attacked the spirit guardian knight.
The spirit guardian knight was fully equipped with rune word gears. It had increased their defense dramatically, but it was only enough to give an edge during battle. The knockback ability of those vipers was too overpowering.
The spirit guardian knights kept getting knocked back. Even though they killed many claw vipers and salamanders, there were still hundreds of them.
Abel cast another firewall among those claw vipers and salamanders. They began to screech in agony, but they didn't stop their attacks.
The remaining claw vipers sped out of the firewall and kept going at the spirit guardian knights.
Their knockback ability had broken the chain attacks of those spirit guardian knights, limiting their knight potential.
On the other hand, Fangskin was even scarier. Lightning arcs emerged on its body within the firewall. Afterward, 4 lighting strikes blasted out of its body towards all directions.
2 of the lightning strikes did not hit anything, but another 2 had injured the spirit guardian knights. It was the power of a dark gold boss.
Luckily this was only a mass attack, so Abel's Druid soul had automatically replenished the life of those spirit guardian knights.
Abel ignited a chain of lighting, but he soon realized it was not as effective as he expected. He saw Fangskin defusing the lightning strikes. Abel smiled awkwardly. Suddenly, he remembered something, wasn't this 'lightning enchantment?
A dark gold boss with lightning enchantment could dramatically increase the lightning resistance of itself, and it's servant hell creatures. Therefore, lightning spells couldn't do much to them.
Abel couldn't help but change the spell again. He kept casting the firewall in front of the spirit guardian knights as it was still the most effective.
It seemed like Abel had found his formula. The claw vipers and salamanders died screeching in the firewall, and the other vipers entering from the back met the same fate.
Even Fangskin began to screech. The attacks had turned it crazy. It could just knock back the spirit guardian knights but never broke their defense.
As Abel kept casting the firewall spell like a machine, burning those claw vipers and salamanders to death left and right, Fangskin suddenly let out a howl and vanished into a flash of white light.
Abel immediately felt his heart drop. He was drawing another spell pattern. His head commander intuition told him that danger was coming.
He stopped the spell and held the shield on his left in front chest. At the same time, he drew a 'move in a flash' spell pattern with his right.
Suddenly, Fangskin appeared out of mid-air and bit towards Abel with its sharp fangs.
Abel was certain that it had the hell's Extra Fast enchantment looking at how fast it was. Although Black Wind also had the same enchantment, the dark gold bosses had the most powerful form.
Their speed was almost neck to neck, so Black Wind had no choice,
"Wooo" a white light flashed, and the bite of Fangskin landed on empty space. Black Wind and Abel vanished from the spot.
Fangskin frantically looked around with its red eyes, but Abel was nowhere to be seen.
Abel sensed Fangskin's intention before it attacked. He immediately ignited the move in a flash spell marking on the skin tree and dodged just in time.
This was how Fangskin ended up in that situation. 
Although Abel was a head commander, he did not have many powerful close body attack skills. It would be very dangerous to high a dark gold level boss in the Dark World.
He knew if Fangskin had the Fire Enchantment, it could have killed him in one strike.
Therefore, close combat with any hell creature was risky. Abel had stopped doing that ever since he left the Rogue Encampment.
He would only do so again once he got a full set of powerful close combat attack and defense skills.
But the only close combat skill remaining in the Holy Continent was the knight's 'charging' ability. Although Abel had gotten Bartoli's family inheritance as well, the only close combat skill he gained was the 'shield strike.'
These 2 abilities were far insufficient to support him in close body combat with a hell creature. It could only be used as a last resort.
Abel's flashed dragged out his distance with Fangskin. He reappeared 30 meters away and immediately threw out another firewall 20 meters from him.
This firewall spell was already prepared on his right before the flash. It was a trick he learned from an intermediate wizard in Miracle City.
Fangskin screeched and dashed towards Abel. The firewall did not stop it, or in another word, it was not afraid of it. Although it could damage it a little, Hell's alterations had stripped the concept of fear.

Of course, kind people existd everywhere, this world was even full of them. But what about cruel people ? These existed too. Nothing is only black or white, but I do know one thing. 
Those who are the cruelest aren't the strongest, nor are they the weaskest, but those who see their own potential. Potential is a scary thing : even if one had it, he probably wouldn't be able to develop it. And some people become unable to accept the truth,  seing a gap between reality and ideal that became bigger as time flew by. 
Does this world really have strong people? Even the Gods aren't omnipotent. Their energy may be useful, but still lack strengh. In the end, that's just show that there's an highter entity. 
That's what I like to believe. That in this world, there's an higher entity that'll brings happiness. 
But you know, you can't expect anything from a hierarchy. Waiting... it doesn't take any effort in itself. You have to act on a local level. 
If such an existence really exists - which I sometimes doubt - then my life is the proof that this existence wants and leaves me free. And if I am free, if I am recognised by such an entity, such a power, then that means that my life has a meaning. 
And I won't ever let my life end without having accomplished anything. It may just be an excuse, a weakness that pushes me forward, but the reality will never change. In this moment, at this time, in this place, I exist. 
And because I exist, I am changing the world. That'ss why I will do anything to make this world a better place. 
And for that, I need strength. And so you do. 
Honestly, given your talent, the chances that you will succeed in living the life of your dreams, in defeating your enemies, are low. Extremely low.  That's why I prefered to direct you to another path.

The description of this item was: Instruct the usage of Red Flame, requires the blood energy of a Vampire Viscount. Can burn anything, especially effective against organisms. After everyone recovered from the surprise, Zero and Yinkong were standing in the distance calmly while Jie and Tengyi ran over to him in excitement. They and Lan started asking questions about the skill, and it lessened his embarrassment when facing Lan.
