After coming back from the comfort room to urinate, I was back again in my room. My ass was once again firmly stapled into the low-end gaming chair mom bought for me.


Hello there, friends! Welcome to another episode of 'I am Anxious for No Reason!'


Probably because I drank too much coffee again . . . I really needed to limit my caffeine intake.


Still, I wouldn't feel this way if I had something I want to do-- apart from playing games, that is. Naturally, I didn't like my chores. What I needed was a hobby of sorts . . .


Staring at the computer screen showing the menu of 'Hollow Soldier', I grabbed the flesh of my chest and felt the rushed heartbeat underneath.


I hated this feeling.


I got a temporary breakaway from my emotions when my phone beeped on my bed softly.


With a kick of my foot, I masterfully made my chair swivel around before I jumped towards my bed.


Feeling slightly good about myself while wondering if I can pull it off again, I grabbed my phone and checked who messaged me on Hermes: my idiot friend Steven.


Steven: yo


Me: sup?


Steven: were planning to roam about. wanna come?


I grabbed my school bag next to me and searched for my purse. Good thing I have some money.


Me: whos coming?


Steven: me, page, eena and jhan


. . . nice.


Me: ill be at the 7 11 near here. know that?


Steven: nc nc meet you there


After I took a bath, I quickly fixed myself up so I would look good without giving the impression that I put in effort into looking good, then I headed off to the 7-11 stop at the corner of our block.I waited patiently inside the store and soon, the gang could be seen on the other side of the road. All of our attires were your typical teen clothing. It looked average but it had that certain coolness about it.


Steven and Page were my best friends. Eena as . . . well, I guess I liked her. As for Jhan, she was Eena's chill friend.


"Hey, sh*thead," Steven greeted me, opening the glass doors of the store.


Yep, greetings worked this way for us. I don't know why but I guess it feels nice to call someone a sh*thead without worrying about the consequences.


"Sh*theads," I smiled at the two of them, "So? Where we going?"


They all shuffled as they picked a spot for their seats.


"For starters . . . snack here."

We roamed all around town and had fun. I didn't get the chance to get closer with Eena since Page was the only one close enough to her for meaningful conversations. Not like I was trying to get closer anyway.


Now it's 5 PM, and after spending my last bits of money on a monstrous cup of ice cream, we all separated ways to go home.


That was an extremely nice break from my dull life, and now I was back to normal.


I wish I had proper hobbies. I just play games because I have nothing better to do. It's not like I'm striving to be the one at the top or anything. I just play for fun and . . . when I get bored of a game, I stop playing.


As my mind flipped through all possible ways to keep myself from boredom, I remembered a certain thing Page had been recommending all this time.


Watch anime.


I have tried watching anime mind you, but I wasn't really drawn to it. I mean, they're literal drawings, and the characters couldn't get any more cringe.


However, Page said that what I watched was mainstream anime, which is made to suit the taste of the lite anime lovers and the majority, really. True anime lovers, according to him, don't spout anime recommendations unless there's another anime lover nearby.


After arguing about how he's recommending to me anime while I'm not an anime fan earlier, I finally said yes for the first time.


And so, I zapped through the house into my room, and then I opened Hermes on my PC. And there it was, a drive link. In it was 24 episodes of an anime titled: Unemployed Reincarnation.


Feeling curious about what the anime has to offer, along with whether I would be entertained enough or whatnot, I clicked on the first episode.


. . .


"That. Was. Insane."


First of all, I can't stress enough how body-mangling cliffhangers were. But aside from that . . . the story is insanely beautiful. It's basically some garbage shut-in who had the life of a true introvert, who got reincarnated into another world. There, he swears to live life to the fullest.


I snatched my phone from my pocket and hurriedly went to chat with Page on Hermes. I've watched non-stop and it is nearing 2 AM, but surprisingly, Page was still online.


Me: WT* IS UP WITH THE CLIFFHANGER


It took a while for Page to see my message, but as soon as he saw it, he replied.


Page: lmao the 2nd season will come


Me: WHEN


Page: years


I could quite literally feel the energy in me being replaced by disappointment, and as a reflex, I let out a sorta trembling sigh.


Page: but there's a novel for it


Me: really?


Page: yes and its finished


Me: send


Page sent me another drive link containing more than 20 epub files.


After asking Page about where the anime ends in the novel, he told me to reread it from the start, as there were some deviations the anime made from the novel.


I didn't want waste time doing that though, so I searched for the part myself.


However, as I tried reading, I found myself hooked. I couldn't help but read the parts that the anime also covered. My tie to the world of light novels--as the book calls itself--and anime has been properly forged.


I had come to love these kinds of things.


After rereading all the parts the anime covered, I felt sleepiness finally catch up to me. It was 4 AM and I still haven't slept.


"I should sleep," I muttered to no one as I laid on my bed, stretching.


I'll read this tomorrow . . . no, later.


As I closed my eyes, my wishful mind began thinking about how Unemployed Reincarnation's main character's past life was cruel but . . . his new life was full of adventures.'


This time, I'd live for real,' huh?


Am I living for real?


For now, all I can do is finish the series. Then what? Ask for further recommendations? I'll admit, that doesn't sound too bad-- but I wish I had something better . . . I want something that I genuinely want . . .


. . . but I don't really know what I want.


Or actually, I want to get reincarnated too.


I felt the edges of my lips curl up a bit.

And soon, my thoughts drifted away as I fell asleep.

Liam was what a lot of people would call an otaku. He had multiple posters, body pillow, games and merchandise of anime characters. Liam's favourite anime was Black Clover and his favourite power was gluttony magic from that time I got reincarnated as a slime.

Every day, Liam would be in his apartment in the dark watching anime. He had cut off all connection with his friends and family as they called him a failure and they also said that his mother should have aborted him when she had the chance to.

When Liam had no one to talk to and vent out his emotions, he started to watch anime and it had successfully distracted him from the real world.

"I'm going to starve, ahh. Where is the food? There's no food?" Liam said in disbelief shakingly as he was hungry.

Liam was not broke nor rich. He had enough to live a decent life till he dies. Whenever he pays his rent or go out and eat, he would buy groceries so he could stay at his home longer. He always tries to stay at his apartment as long as possible. Disregarding the fact that his skin needing more sunlight.

Liam once had a family member that supported him, unlike the rest. His grandpa would always talk and support him whenever he had some issues. He was the only one Liam could open his heart to. He was like a best friend to Liam and when he died, Liam was devastated.

At that point, Liam wanted to end his own life to see his grandpa once more. He was planning to do end his life without hesitation as no one cared about him after his grandpa died but what kept him living was his grandpa's letter to him.

The letter told Liam to live on and live without any regrets. So Liam decided to spend the rest of his life watching anime.

Liam got into his car and drove to the nearest convenience store as he was starving because he was watching anime for 3 days.

While on the way there, he wasn't paying attention and he got hit with a tremendous amount of force. The next thing he knew, he was in a dark space that seemed limitless with no sound, people, light and most importantly no anime.

"Looks like we have another one," A man said as it got closer to Liam. This voice was powerful and it made Liam want to run away.

"W-where am I?" Liam asked while shaking

"This is the endless void where all souls go to reincarnate after their death." The man said with a much calmer voice that relaxed Liam.

"Reincarnation? I have watched so many anime about reincarnation, but why am I here?" Liam asked.

"You died in a car crash. You were hit by a truck and since you died earlier than expected I will give you three wishes," The man said like he does this a million times.

"The legendary truck-sama," Liam said to himself.

"I think I know what you want to do. In your previous life, you always said that if you got the chance you would beat up Sakura Haruno. Is that right?" The man said flipping through what sounded like papers.

"No, wait, I want to be reincarnated in black clover for my first wish. I want Gluttony magic as my powers and I want to have elven blood or be a descendant of the elves," Liam said in one breath because he did not want to be reincarnated into naruto if he wasn't op.

"Hmm, very well," The man said.

"Oh, and can you make my appearance like Gojo Satoru as I grow? If it's too much then forget I asked," Liam said excited and nervous.

"I guess, just walk through that door and you will be in what you asked for. Oh, don't tell anyone of this conversation and you will take on the personality of this Gojo Satoru"

"I won't lose my memories or anything right?" Liam asked praying that he would say no.

"No, we don't do that here," The man said before his presence completely vanished.

This began his journey in the anime, Black Clover, as Madara Uchiha as soon as he walked through the door.

Liam dies in a car crash and meets what humans call god. The god grants him three wishes and he chooses to be reincarnated in one of his favourite anime Black Clover, with one of his favourite magic Gluttony.

*At dorm* "Okay so lately I've been watching a lot of anime. Like every night." Kay turns, "I watch anime more than you then." Bryan looks at Kay, "Impossible! How many anime's have you watched and for how long have you been watching it!" Kay laughs, "Dude I've been watching anime since I was very very young. Like a baby young." 
Bryan stops and thinks about life for a long time. 'What have I come to. I can't compare to Kay anymore. He watches more anime than me.' 
Kay is at the top of watching anime. He's always watching all the new anime's. But he never tells any spoilers. 
(What a good Kay.) 
Tyson always spoils everything he watches especially if he's watched it before everyone.
Kay does love his anime though. He's always watching it he forgot what real shows feel like. 
Kay got his mother into anime. (She's 53!) 
Meanwhile Bryan is still thinking about life.

"Well, kalau ditanya model cerita favorit, aku cenderung suka anime yang menjunjung persahabatan dan memberikan pesan moral yang sangat menyentuh sih, seperti "Sakurasao", "Ano Hana", "Re:life", "Angel Beats", ya pokoknya tipe-tipe yang bisa merubah orang menjadi lebih baik begitu" *sambil juga memasang wajah antusias.

Tomodachi :
"Oh, sugoi ne (hebat), pantas saja kamu punya pribadi yang baik gitu, mau aku beri rekomendasi anime-anime yang mirip 50:50 dengan yang kau sebut barusan?, mumpung kau sedang bicara dengan ahlinya disini, khukhukhu" *sambil memasang gaya chunibyou.

Abdullah :
"Boleh, mumpung aku juga kehabisan stock".

"Wow, subrashi ne anatano point view (luar biasa sekali sudut pandanganmu) , beda banget sama aku yang lihat anime cuma buat pelarian" *sampai memasang wajah sadboi.

Budi :
"Semua hal didunia ini selalu ada dan bisa diambil hikmahnya, tergantung kita mau memanfaatkannya atau tidak" *sambil memasang wajah MC ketika mengucapkan kata-kata bijak.

"YAMEROOOOOOOOO!!!" *sambil berubah menjadi "Super Seiya" dan mengeluarkan "Sandalphone" dari "kantong ajaibnya" yang sudah siap membunuh karena terlalu kesal.
