Purity Essence immediately joined Upwards Ho!. The officers of Upwards Ho! were surprised and confused by his appearance. "Eh? I thought those rumors on the forums were fake… So Purity Essence does have something going on with our leader!"

"So what?" was Gongzi You's response to the questions she received. The entire guild that was bustling with conspiracy theories immediately quieted down.

Bai Mo who had prior knowledge of Purity Essence's arrival immediately sent a message to Ye Ci, "So, it's done?"

"Yup." Ye Ci let out a sigh, "I'll leave him to you. Don't let anything slip."

"Of course. Who do you think I am?" Bai Mo chuckled, "So he'll be the battle commander?"

When Ye Ci swam ashore, Green Hill's Moon was waiting not far away with a coy smile at the docks. She rolled her eyes, and walked towards the man. Patting her wet hand on his hair, Ye Ci spoke up, "Don't tell me… You've been waiting for me here?"

"Of course. Not many in the Eastern Continent would have the chance of waiting for Gongzi You. How could I let go of such an opportunity?" Green Hill's Mind paid no heed to the seawater that was dripping down from his hair. He was still smiling at Ye Ci.

"If you're here… It means that you've found a good resting spot."

"Exactly! It's a tavern called the One-Eyed Pirate. I've gotten a room." Green Hill's Moon chuckled, "You go first. Let me know when you're done cleaning up yourself. I'll be right away." Despite his mischievous nature, Green Hill's Moon was still a gentleman. He was also a very attentive person, he knew that Ye Ci would definitely need to tidy herself up after travelling such a vast distance, and had already gotten her a room.

The One-eyed Pirate Inn.

The room was the best room in the entire tavern. The soft warm bed gave off a nice smell, and there was even a fireplace with crackling wood as the warm flames burned. A huge cask filled with warm water was placed in the middle of the bathroom. There were even petals floating on the water. Ye Ci let out a smile as she removed her clothing. Green Hill's Moon was such a good flirt. If she did not know that the wool comes from the sheep's back, she might have even praised the man. With the knowledge that she would be indirectly paying for the expenses of renting this room, there was not a shred of appreciation in Ye Ci's hearts towards Green Hill's Moon.

After her bath, Ye Ci's equipment was already cleaned by the tavern's NPC. Ye Ci felt fresh and relaxed. Cleanliness and Fatigue were both mechanics that would affect a player in Fate, and any negative effect from these stats could be removed by having a bath. Players would flock to public bathhouses with their meagre income because of that. The over-realistic game might not be a good thing.

As Green Hill's Moon entered the room, Gongzi You having a meal. She was not modest at all, and had order the best food with the best wine. She was enjoying the meal. After mourning for his wallet for a short moment, Green Hill's Moon decided to put the tabs on Gongzi You, his wealthy benefactor.

Indeed, the wool comes from the sheep's back.

"So, how did your investigation go?"

"Heh! I didn't know you're interested in gossip as well." Green Hill's Moon let out a cunning smile. It was apparent that he was satisfied with the news he received from the investigation he had been tasked with.

"I know, I know. I'm simply lamenting about it." Green Hill's Moon let out a sigh….

Ye Ci snorted, indicating that Green Hill's Moon should get to the point, and not waste her precious time.

"NightAndDay is already on guard against Wandering Cloud. Despite keeping up appearances, he has slowly begun to dismantle Wandering Cloud's influence within the Tang Dynasty. He was very secretive about it, and even I didn't take notice of it for long time t." Green Hill's Moon shrugged. He was impressed by NightAndDay. After having a big green hat [1] placed on his head by his best friend, he was able to keep his calm.

"Of course, despite not being visible to outsiders, I'm sure Wandering Cloud has already noticed something. He had ceased almost all contacts with Into The Sunsets, not to mention continuing their affair." As a neutral territory, players were unable to teleport to Dark Clay City without reaching a certain prestige points threshold. Ye Ci had to gallop all the way to Dark Clay City from the edge of Swamp of Sorrows. The landscape has totally changed since her last visit. Every inch of the land has been scorched black by Altera's Dragon Breath. Even with the auto recovery function of the system, it would take more than a month for the map to return to its former glory.

After Altera's visit to the Swamp of Sorrows and the huge battle between the Eastern and the Northern continent had transpired in the map, it was then followed by the scandal between Gongzi You and Purity Essence, the once unfrequented Swamp of Sorrows became a bustling place. This time however, nobody paid attention to Ye Ci as she traversed through the map on Ol' Four's back, or rather, they avoided her out of fear.

Ye Ci arrived at Dark Clay City without any trouble, and was quick to arrive in the city hall to state her business to the officer on duty, who then went away to inform the major.

Lord Sha'gar of the Red Lake City was one of the top 10 most mysterious NPC in Fate. Very few of the players have actually seen the lord of Red Lake City despite playing the game for nearly 10 years. A person like him who hid in his castle all day long however, was one of the mightiest warriors in Fate, and was friends with the lord of Oasis City and the lord of the Dark Clay City, Lord Moore.

How could someone who stayed in solitude in his castle maintain his friendships with the other lords?

Of course, such matters were none of Ye Ci's concern. As a player, she was a lifeform that was beneath the high-tier NPC. The only thing she needed to concern herself with was to complete the quest handed to her by the NPCs.

After waiting for a short moment in the city hall, Ye Ci heard a flurry of footsteps. She turned around, and saw an NPC in a scholar's tunic with well-kept hair walking towards her with hastened pace. The badge on his chest was an indicator of his identity: The mayor of Dark Clay City.

The mayor walked up to Ye Ci and greeted her politely, "Ah, I see you're a friend from far, far away. My apologies for not welcoming you. Come, have a seat in my office."

"There's no need, sir." Ye Ci greeted him politely as well, "I'm here to deliver a letter from Lord Sha'gar to Lord Moore. When can I see Lord Moore?"

"Oh? A letter? Our lord is feeling unwell at the moment. You can hand me the letter, and I'll pass it on to my lord." the mayor of Dark Clay City extended an arm towards Ye Ci.

It was a trap designed by the system. If Ye Ci handed the letter over to the mayor, she could complete the quest. The grade of the quest would however drop from an Epic Tier quest to an Elite Tier quest. If such a thing happened, Ye Ci would receive significantly lesser rewards for completing the quest. As someone who possessed knowledge from her past life, Ye Ci would of course not fall for such trap.

She offered the mayor a smile and shook her head, "I'm afraid I can't do that, sir mayor. Lord Sha'gar has specifically instructed me to hand the letter to Lord Moore in person. I can't hand it to anybody else. I hope you understand that, sir mayor."

The mayor was momentarily stunned, and his expression was full of awkwardness. He was quick to regain his composure, "Of course, of course. Our lord however, is not feeling well. I'm afraid he can't see you right now." With that, he quickly changed the topic, "Of course, it's not impossible for you to meet the city lord."

Ye Ci knew that she the quest is slowly progressing into the difficulty of an Epic-tier quest. She would soon receive the second stage of the quest from the mayor. Hence, she answered with enthusiasm, "Sir mayor, are you facing any difficulties at the moment? If there's something troubling you, you can leave it to me. I'll do my best to solve the problem."

The mayor of Dark Clay City was overjoyed to hear Ye Ci's words, "Are you serious? Can I really leave this matter to you?"

"Of course."

"Lord Moore is ill. A famous healer has given us a prescription. We've gathered most of the herbs needed to brew the medicine, but there's one last herb that we're unable to locate. Since you're here… If you can find that herb, I'm sure you'll be able to meet with Lord Moore soon."

A system notification rang right after the mayor of Dark Clay City finished his sentence, "Do you want to accept the quest "Medicine for the City Lord"?" Ye Ci accepted the quest. She noticed that the quest objective had changed, but the color of the quest remained. It meant that the quest was not downgraded.

The mayor began stating out the details of the quest after receiving confirmation from Ye Ci. It sounded like a simple quest, requiring Ye Ci to search for a herb known as the Spirit Soothing Grass in the Abandoned Altar deep within the Swamp of Sorrows .

It was fierce and fast. A dash of huge creature that tried to bit the head of in point-blank range can end even someone like Geralt. There will be no way to react in time, but Alan was able to teleport away.
He reappeared on its back just at the moment when it flapped the wings and rushing forward at an insane speed. Geralt rolled out of its way, but was grazed by the claw and launched at the wall. Tenebris dashed forward and seized the wyvern in its claws, savagely biting it on the neck. Yet, it was not to penetrate the scales and kill, but a show of dominance over it. They could not keep flying and spun around, going down with tremendous momentum.
Geralt climbed up and looked at the side of a mountain where a large trail of broken trees was left after the two descended.
"Uh... I'm positively too old for this." - Geralt grumbled, sighed, reinforced the grip on his swords, and ran as fast as he can. Over the several ruined steps of the stairs to the paved road and jumping over several meters of the collapsed bridge ruined by the stray part of the tower. In fact, the lighthouse was already breathing his last moments.
Geralt rolled after the long jump and heard loud crackling sounds. The ones not from wood, that are mild and flexible, but that of stone, hard and thunderous. He didn't look at the tower that went down the cliff, he was concentrated and the sound of the battle in front.
Two gigantic beasts were fighting there. Geralt ran over to the fallen tree, jumped on the enormous boulder, and leaned forward to provide assistance.
There Tenebris seized the neck of the wyvern from the back and pinned it down to the ground hard enough to break stone under them. Every time wyvern tried to get away, it will suffer from ruthless pummeling and four legs of Tenebris will squeeze it even further.

Geralt stood up, cursing some unknown creatures on the unique language of the local populace from slums and took out the whip. Ordering it to elongate with Axii, he expertly wrapped it around the lower body of the avian lizard.

Wyvern went silent.
Alan turned back and established a connection with it.
Suddenly something in his body trembled and reacted. It flew out and hovered near the wyvern's head and then Alan felt it.
Dragon School Medallion shone with dim aura and created a brand on the mind of the wyvern, building a sturdy bridge from it to itself.
A moment later it fell to the ground. Alan walked over to pick it up and the moment his fingers touched the metal he felt it. A mind that he can access to that was absolutely under his control through the medallion.
"Okay, now this is unexpected but timely help. What is this Dragon School? Were they some kind of beast tamers on top of being battle mages?" - he mumbled and looked to the side.
Geralt was making his way here with unhindered steps. He gave a look at the medallion and grunted, turning to the wyvern.
"So you did it. You know, I still think it's a bad idea."
"Yeah, you told me that about... ten times already." - Alan was looking closely at the metallic head of the dragon in his palm.
"And I don't mind doing it once more. Monsters are trouble, Alan."
His all instincts were screaming. He was ready to raise his hand and kill the wyvern at any time. One fast move and its head would roll on the ground.
"We will see." - said Alan, finding the ruby eyes of the dragon medallion fascinating to look at.
"You know, if I tell Vesemir that we tamed a wyvern he won't sleep for months."
"Simple issue, don't tell him." - shrugged Alan, not looking away even for a moment.
"What are you doing?" - Geralt became tense, as his wolf medallion trembled slightly. He looked around the forest and saw nothing worth noticing, except for the swamp in the distance. It felt eerie somehow as if some ancient evil was leaving there.
"Hard to say..." - Alan said with a deep voice while lacking attentiveness to what is going on around him.
The next moment a flash went past them, one second it was there, the next it disappeared.
"That just great." - stared Geralt at the empty space where a wyvern should have been lying.
"You don't say!" - rejoiced Alan. - "My goodness, who created this medallion? This is insane! To think it is a spacial artifact that can store living creatures!"
"What?"
"Look!" - Alan willed for the Dragon School medallion to let wyvern out and it appeared in front of them. It stood up, shook its head and remained still, awaiting orders. - "Hehe, I suddenly thought of a good prank. How about we go to the banquet and let my new pet have some snacks? Geralt, don't look at me that way! I don't mean eating people! I mean some of their food, normal food! Imagine the thrill – dining with a wyvern on one table. No! I need first to prank Jaskier. Yes. Jaskier, here I come!"
Geralt looked at Alan who again stored the wyvern with a concerned look. He was really thinking about what to do with Jaskier. The latter can really die due to a heart attack that way.

3 years have passed since then I have dedicated my time in increasing my nen as fast as possible. I have also spent more time with my family and I noticed that, damn Aunt Mitoo cooking is good like seriously her food is delicious. as Alan and Gon eat there breakfast. 
Gon- hey Alan do you want to go outside and play in the forest. 
Alan- sure, let's go befriend some more animals.
Mitoo- stay away from the dangerous animals and I want you back by sunset.
Alan- sure aunt Mitoo well be careful right Gon

as the two boys leave after eating their breakfast, to run straight to the forest.

I and Gon run as fast as possible to the forest as we jump tree by tree fighting snakes and other creatures that I have never seen on earth. we met at the location where I and Gon play in a secret location near the waterfall. we befriended many types of wolves and other similar looking animals on earth. 
Alan- hey Gon why don't you head back home and get some fishing rods so we can catch and cook some fish.
Gon- Ok ill be back with the fishing rod. 
as Gon leaves, I activated eternal Mangekyo Sharingan and release the full body Susanoo from the Skelton, humanoid, armoured and full body with the wings which look exactly like Sasuke full-body Susanoo. while all the animals and birds notice the big 136m tall Susanoo with the sword and wings while I conceal its deadly pressure that could kill everyone including animals, birds and humans and even some nen users yet you can not hide the presence of a 136meter tall demon as all the animals and birds flee from the scene. I quickly retake back the full-body Susanoo and try my Amaterasu and Kagutsuchi abilities to control the black flame which was mastered perfectly I could even use the flames on the sword like Sasuke that's why in the past I also asked Al for the best sword style for me as I quickly mastered it with the 100year of experience that comes with it like it was apart of my body. 

I change back and take the black flames and eyes back to normal as I feel the presence of Gon quickly approaching.

Gon- Alan, Alan did you see that massive giant thing it was this big. 

as he shows Alan how big it was while trying to stretch his arm as much as he can.

Alan- yeah I saw it wasn't it cool.
Gon- yeah it was soo cool but all the animals, monsters and birds were really scared I saw some pass out just from looking at it.

I should not use it until I get out of whale island or else I'll be suspected even though I hid the pressure of the full-body Susanoo, I guess just the sight may terrify the animals and the people.
Gon- I got the fishing rods, let's go to the swamp and catch some fish.
Alan- Yeah sure, race you to the swamp Gon. The last one gets to have 1 of the other person fish for themselves. 
Gon- you're on 
Alan- 3,2,1 
as both of us dash to the lake jumping over rocks and trees at the same time.
Gon- I'm gonna win 
Alan- nope I am 
as both of them run, unaware of a cliff in front of them, they both fall into the lake. 
Gon and Alan both swim to land and to dry their clothes on a tree and sit next to the big, dark and mossy tree.
Gon- so who won
Alan- it was a draw but next time ill beat you in the race.
Gon- no I will 
at the same time, both of their stomachs started to make noises from hunger as both of them started to laugh at the same time and decided to catch some fish.
As sunset sets lining up the beautiful reflection colours of the sun in the lake, with a campfire after eating their fill of fish they look up into the endless sky and look upon the bright stars that shine. 
Alan- hey Gon what do you want to do.
Gon- I want to go on an adventure, going to different places and making new friends. 
Alan- that's cool I too want to go on an adventure, explore the unexplored, meet different types of creatures, have amazing fights and make new friends.
Gon- How about when we're both old enough well got together and explore the world. 
Alan- yeah well both go together.

Looking up at the tall glass building, the afternoon traffic loud behind me. It was almost time for my interview, adjusting my jacket. I spent this weekend updating my wardrobe, I think I left Rodeo drive with more clothes and shoes that I already owned. I was trying my best to learn the city and find my way around. And needed an excuse to go shopping. 

I sorted everything I needed to do, hired a car company— now I have a way of transport. I filled the fridge with food, cleaned the house—it was very dusty. After I had dinner with Alan we talked for a while— not about Xavier. He wanted to know what I was up to in New Zealand. It was nice having something to talk to. We were meeting for a late lunch after my meeting today. He told me his office wasn't far from here so I agreed.

Gazing up at the building once more before making my way to the huge glass doors. The inside was covered in white tiles. There was writing saying "Berge law firm" on the wall facing the doors. I noticed the white desk underneath it with a woman at it. Making my way there, making sure to smooth my jacket. 

"Good afternoon, I have an appointment," I say placing my Gucci bag on the desk. 

"Can I have your name please" she barely looked away from the screen

"Vanessa Miller" 

"Just give me a second" she murmurs 

"Ahh, with Mr Moore. I have right here. I just need you to pay the fee" she finally looks up with a smile on her face. 

"Yes," opening my purse to bring out my card. 

"Will you paying by cash or card?" she asked. 

"Card" I gave her the black card. She looked up stunned. Her impression and she straightened her back. 

"Yes, Ms Miller," she says collected it

"Just one second," she started typing away again. 

"The final fee is $1500," she said as she swiped the card, where did the extra $500 come from?

"The extra $500 is for being added to be our client list, after that you will have to pay a retainer fee. This will be worked out if you decide to hire us" she hands me back the credit card smiling. 

"Thank you," as I was about to ask where the meeting would be I heard heels clicking on the floor. 

"Mr Moore is waiting for you" I looked towards the voice, it was as if I got slapped in the face. It was another version of Cara, a Cara 2.0 if you will. The blonde hair, red lips and tight dress. 

Following her quietly into the lift, she smiled as she pressed the 30th floor. I guess Mr Moore was very important. 

"Love your jacket," she smiled looking at the Gucci jacket, "I thought it was limited edition" 

"It is," I say looking down at it. It was very pricey as well. "They held it for me" I was a very good customer. My account with them made me important enough for them to save me some stuff. 

"Ahh, I didn't catch your name?" cause I didn't tell you? She wanted to know who I was, wanted to know if I was someone important. 

"Ms Miller," I say a little too angrily. Maybe it was cause she looked like Cara.

"This way please," she says once we were off the list, her smiling wavering. 
"Mr Moore's office" she shows me the door. She pushes a set of grey doors open, leaving before I made my way in. The office was huge, like bigger than my room. I saw his figure on the oak desk in the middle. When I saw I stopped breathing, I chocked on air. 

"Mrs Miller," he got up unbuttoning his grey blazer "You may call me Elijah" his big hands wrapped over mine. "Love the outfit" he points out. 

"Vanessa.... thank you" I cleared my throat. Oh god, I was expecting an old man, with grey hairs and a bar belly. Instead, there was a hot man in front of me. Black hair, brown eyes and a mature face. 

"Please take a seat, would you like anything to drink" he moves behind his desk. 

"No thank you," I say meeting his eyes that hasn't left me face. 

"Mrs Miller, it says you require a lawyer" 

"Miss" I corrected him earning a smile

"And yes, I need a custody lawyer" I started pulling out the documents and files I brought with me. 

"Your husband is fighting for custody?" he takes his eyes off his screen. 

"No, I am" he collected the file. I wrote down everything that was happening.

"Let me get this straight, your fighting your husband? His doesn't want you to see your baby?" He looks up baffle.

"Yes,"

"Were you married? Any prenup signed?"

"No, not married" 

"I will have to ask if you want a shared custody or not" 

"Yes," I don't want her to grow up without a father. 

He drops the file sitting close to the desk, "Tell me, does he knows your here?" 

"Yes?" I said unsure

"Ahh, we lost the element of surprise" 

"So you will help me?" I asked surprised

"Let's just say you will get your baby back, Amelia right?" He looks at his birth certificate. 

"Yes, I will get a court date and a judge, this will be sorted out in no time." 

The meeting went on for an hour, I signed some papers. We talked more about what would happen and how it will go down. He told me to stay out of trouble, no parties, no drinking and no drugs. I have to look like the best person in the world. I can't let Xavier have anything that can get me in trouble, which reminded me I need to make Amelia a room in the house. I'm sure they will also do a house inspection. I planned on telling Alan when we meet up for lunch, hope he wouldn't mind the change of plans. 

As I sat through lunch with Alan listening to him talk about work, apparently he has a trading company with Xavier, where they both share holds. He didn't ask me how the meeting went and I didn't want to tell him in case he would report back to Xavier.  

"So will you come?" I realised I zoned and didn't hear what he said. 

"Sorry, I spaced out" 

"I asked if you would accompany me to the auction gala we are having this weekend" 

"Before you say no it's for charity" 

"I don't know" I wasn't sure if I could be in the same room with Xavier. 

"Come on, I don't want to go without a date" he grins 

"So you're asking me as a date, not a friend?" 

"Whatever you wanna call it, besides it better than you staying home crying all weekend" 

"I don't cry" I lied 

"Fine you don't cry," he rolled his eyes laughing.

Do I really wanna go to a gala? With the chance of seeing him and her together? But at the same time, I didn't want to hide from them, I want him to see that I don't give a fuck who he has in his bed at night. Yes. I do. But he can't know that. 

"Fine, I will come to the gala." Plus I will be donating to charity. 

"Don't be alarmed if you Cara with him" Alan warns 

"What's their deal anyway?" 

"You fucked him over when you left Vanessa, I hated you for it. He looked for you, he didn't rest. He got it into his head that someone took you, I think he didn't want to accept that you left willingly. I didn't see him for months, when I did see him he was always drunk, on drugs and vulnerable— couldn't think for himself. That's when that bitch came, she knew he wasn't in his right mind. I tried to get her to leave but she always came back when I left." He takes a breath

"I think that's when it started, she took your place. Loved him when he needed it. Made herself indispensable, made him rely on her. I think he was too heartbroken to see what she was doing, she even got him to leave the apartment. She got him to go to work. After a year passed he was back to normal, dating Cara, getting a house and showing up for work. But I didn't know he was still looking for you, he made us all believe he moved on." 

"I'm sorry", tears were forming, listening to how I hurt Xavier. I knew when I left it would affect him but I didn't think it would that extreme. 

"I think he sees Cara as his survivor, I noticed it a few months ago. He was looking at her the same way he looked at you" 

I was right, they were in love. He loved her, and now they completed their family with my daughter. If I didn't leave that would be us together, right? But how could I love someone who killed my family? What would that make me? 

"I'm so sorry Alan" I knew he lost his best friend as well. 

"Hey, I understand why you left. Stephanie would have left as well, hell she was already planning it" he smiled to himself. I reach across the table to hold his hands, I could see the pain in his eyes when he talked about Stephanie. 

"I miss her too," I tell him, he was right. She would have run away with me if she was here. 

We locked eyes together, his other hands move to cover mine. I held my breath when it became too intense, I could see into his soul. The brown in his eyes were dark. But he breaks eyes contact looking behind me. 

"Ms Morales," I heard a familiar voice making his way to our table. I look up at Scott. Surprised, confused as to why he was here. Did Xavier send him here to take me? 

"Scott?" I asked alarmed 

"You've been served" he shoved a brown big envelope in my hands. I heard a collective gasp from the people sitting next to us. 

"What?" I collected the envelope, served? What does that mean? I didn't do anything. I looked up to ask him but he was already gone. Looking at Alan's red face, he shoves out his pocket cursing before placing some bills on the table. 

"We have to go, now." he shoves his jacket back on as I sat there confused. 

"I can't believe him, this fucked even for him," Alan says to himself mostly but I heard. 

I opened the envelope as Alan pulls me up, why was he in a hurry to leave?

"He is suing me?" I continue to read the letter. There was a long list. I can't believe him, just when I starting to think it was my fault. For leaving him. 

"Okay don't be alarmed but there is a bunch of reporters outside," Alan says 

"What! Why?" why were they here? 

"I think he told them you were here, and they want to know where your father is. So I will walk us out, whatever you don't answer their questions". Can this day get any worse? He told them I was in town, he sold me out. 

I suddenly felt the people in the restaurant looking at me, they looked disgusted and angry. Did they know who I was? 

"Let's go" he yanked me out as someone brought out there phone to take a picture. 

"Miss Morales, do you know where your father is!" 

"Are you hiding him!?" 

"Were you involved in his crimes!" 

They shouted at me, the light flashes nearly blinding me. If it wasn't for Alan pulling me I would have lost my feet and fell. 

"Your father is a murder!" Someone cried out at me. 

"He stole from this country!" 

"You should be rotten in jail you bitch!" that was the last thing I heard before Alan pushed me into his car and slam the door. The tears came right away, I covered my face crying as they took pictures of the car. I hope they couldn't see inside. I was an ugly crier. Why would he do this? He can't hate me this much, can he?

I heard the door opening. "I'm fine Stephanie," I said thinking she was the one that followed me.

"It cute you think my sister cares" I hear Alan voice 

"What are you doing here," I asked him annoyed

"Oh just doing someone a favour," he said as Xavier walked in behind him. 

I was alarmed as to why they were both here "what do you want" I asked both of them getting up. 

"You're in my room," Xavier said as he locked the door behind him. Making me more alarmed. 

"I'm sorry I didn't know, I can leave, " I said not wanting to anger him. 

I made my way to the door but Alan grabbed me "not so fast sweetheart" he said holding my arm. 

"Please let me go" I begged them. I didn't know what they were planning but I knew they were up to something. 

"Why would we do that" Xavier said walking to me and stroking my collarbone making me shiver.

"Pardon?" she asks with an innocent, confused look. OH, YOU ARE SO GREATLY PARDONED- "Oh, I didn't say anything" I reply. DAMMIT ALAN, SAY THE RIGHT THING FOR ONCE! "Hey, I know you~" the angel in my arms says in a sing-song voice. "Hmm let's see..." she said leaning in. I could smell the rum and whiskey on her tongue. HMM, AIN'T SHE A STRONG DRINKER! Shut it, head! She had the darkest brown eyes, and long wavy hair, that was a little bit messy from her time dancing. 

She goes on and on with a list of names, that she thinks are mine, while I check her out. "Mmm, AH! It's giselle right?" I shake-my-head-no at her guess. She frowns. "...Anyways I'm Atlay."She says. "Alan." I say feeling a slight sense of nostalgia. Like I've been through this same scenario somewhere. "Alan Moore." Saying this, she starts looking confused, and looks at me with a little bit of sadness.  Seeing her like this, questions start popping up into my head, but then a new song comes on and I can't stop myself from swinging my hips to the beat.

"Jenny darling you're my best friend" I said recognizing the song playing. "What?" She says even more confused. But there's a few things you don't know. I take her hand, not wanting to let her go just yet. "Come on!" I say as I steal two glasses from someone's hands, before passing one to her and gulping the other myself. We quickly escape from the owner's grasp and drag her to the dance-floor. Jenny darling your my best friend.

"STEALING YOUR STUFF NOW AND THEN!" I scream, though inaudible against the blaring noise. We start off bobbing our heads and tapping our feet, after the music takes control of us, and we start loosening up and start to jump up and down, dancing to the beat of the music.

"I WANNA RUIN OUR FRIENDSHIP!" We both sing aloud, dancing like there's no tomorrow.

"WE SHOULD BE LOVERS INSTEAD!" We both scream into the crowd, before laughing.

 we slow down, as the beat of the music does too. She looks up at me. I hesitate before getting closer by a few inches. Forget those amigos. The music quietens to the point where you can hear the people around you if you lean close enough. Her eyes glaze over. She looks at my lips then at my eyes, then at my lips again. "Forget those amigos." I say, my breath against her lips.

"We should be lovers instead" She says on my lips, and our lips do a tango for two as the song comes to an end. The kiss lasts around a minute or more, before she breaks away. Her eyes half-lidded she looks up at me, then her fingers trace my arm, going from my shoulder to my fingers as she walked away from the dance floor, looking back at me, signaling me to follow her.

A few weeks had passed since Alan had first entered this world.
This mushroom biome he had first encountered was only one of many, so far Alan had noted four different types of nature in this world, in the Mushroom biome the entire place was filled with these centipede monsters, Alan had noticed many strange creatures in the same position he was in, slowly having their energy sucked away. It seems the Mushroom itself was a perfect place for many to make shelter in, so these centipedes would infest the upper part of the mushroom and devour their prey while they slept, a fate the original monster that Alan had replaced had also entered.
Beyond the mushrooms, large violet forests full of trees similar to Maple trees would appear, this seemed to be the natural environment as Alan had encountered these places the most. Other than that there were black soot mountains with an almost demonic vigor and swamp like areas where the original bright violet in the trees had degenerated into that of a darker grapelike color.
Alan naturally avoided these areas, he had only seen a few beasts in the Violet forest he was currently living in and none of them spelled good news. In these few weeks Alan had moved from place to place in an attempt to avoid danger and finding a base, almost colliding with stronger beasts a few times though remaining unnoticed. 
He had figured out a few things about himself, one was that he did not need sleep, rather it seems he could collect the energy from the lifeforms around him. If he stayed too long in one place, the red mist around him would envelop the nature and slowly cause it to wither, this way Alan had sufficiently survived this far on his own, he was originally not very tall, the centipedes he met were actually quite small compared to the other animals around, he himself couldn't even be considered 1,5 meters tall, but through surviving so far he found that he had yet to reach his maturity, having grown almost 5 centimeters in just 2 weeks.
Alan had yet to meet creatures like him, and he wondered about the average intelligence in this world.
"I really need to grow, I won't survive like this if I fail to hide myself even once" Alan inwardly nodded to himself.
He flashed back to his current position, sitting stark naked in the middle of the forest, he had been recuperating his losses ever since he met with that centipede creature. More and more of his red mist was coming back to him, devouring the very earth around him.
"I feel like I'm something akin to a parasite, feeding off the very life of nature, no wonder I haven't seen anyone like me, we must really be hated here"
Alan had yet to find anything suitable for a base, he figured it would be too dangerous to move around like he is now. But his luck was rotten, nothing but trees and flatland has been seen so far, Alan did not dare find a cave within the Black Soot mountains, fearing all the horrible atrocities taking shelter there already. All he could do was continue moving and gradually maturing his body.

It was a sully night, Alan had been swaying through the trees like it was his natural behavior, rustling leaves could be seen through the eerie greenish moonlight, dimmed under the nighttime aesthetic. In fact, Alan could now perfectly tell the difference between night and day, at daytime, the light green shine would embellish the surrounding violet trees in a flashing display, making them appear almost toxic to the touch, at night this would be dimmed, the usual violet glow would grow much more apparent, as if not halted by the constant moon. One might be confused if this place even had a day and night cycle if they didn't notice this.
Alan was currently running, nighttime seemed to be the most active time to hunt, unnatural noises could be heard somewhere in the distance and Alan couldn't take chances.
"Why is this damn thing so persistent" Alan thought to himself. Ever since he noticed the rustling he had been moving away from the noise, it seems he was being followed.
Whether this was from pure curiosity of the stalker wasn't even a question, all the wildlife Alan had been observing so far had been animalistic at best, even the Chimps of his old world would think these creatures stupid.
Suddenly from his left side a huge force collided into Alan sending him flying into a tree.
"How did it catch up so quick?" Was all Alan could think until his left arm was completely impaled by two large tusks.
This monster seemed to resemble a boar.
Groaning and grunting, the boar had completely stuck his tusks into the large tree Alan was currently sitting in front of.
"My fucking arm, you prick!" Alan roared.
Alan was in insurmountable pain, quickly thinking of what do to in the moment led to him sticking his nails around the boar's neck, hoping to penetrate it's skin. Blood started spurting out onto him.
To Alan's surprise, the red mist started forming inside of the boar itself, withering and sucking the animal's blood, bone and marrow until there was nothing left but the dead skin and tusks hollowing Alan's arm.
All of a sudden, creaks and cracks were heard in the air. The tusks that penetrated Alan's arm were being popped out by what could be seen as his flesh closing.
"Is my arm regenerating?" Alan was overjoyed.
If this was the current strength his body possessed, he wouldn't have any hope of surviving without maturing, but now everything changed. 
"To think my cells would actually have regenerative properties, this isn't something encountered on earth, must be this red mist at play". What was before a struggle, now seemed to be evenly handed. Alan could only imagine what further properties this new body of his would have hidden inside it. 
Standing up and quickly examining himself, Alan's best hope was to find a base of operations. The boar was dried out, only a hunk of skin could be seen.

Alan, in his final moments before the oncoming entourage of death, realizes his life was fraught with pain. Strong emotions carry his soul beyond even the universe, into that of an unusual little creature, in a strange strange world.
