The plot goes like this: 10 years ago, a portal emerged on the Earth which got dubbed as “The Gate”. This pathway or portal connected the monster world of dungeons to the world of ours. This allowed normal human beings to become demon assassins and demon hunters within the gate. The people who were skilled enough to slay down the demons were called “The Hunters”.

Unlike most novels where the protagonist is an elite demon assassin with hundreds of skills up his sleeve, this one’s quite different. Sung Jin-Woo (From Solo Leveling Novel) is rather an inexperienced and a novice hunter. He barely possesses any skill to withstand a demon in front of him. An E-rank hunter, he struggles to get to the top.

At the E-rank, participating in illegitimate fights, he also struggles to make enough money for her mother. He fears he won’t be able to support his mother for too long if circumstances don’t shift.

So he takes the risk of entering the D-rank dungeon. ANd with no surprises, he gets bashed down by demons harshly. Having multiple injuries, he waits for his final breath to come in Solo Leveling Light Novel. But just before he gives in, he receives a mysterious power, a quest that only he could see.

The quest log brings a list of objectives, which if completed, could significantly rank him up the charts.


 
With this, he quickly becomes the S-rank hunter, one of the elites, and moves on to hunt more demons to become the immortal!

No one could imagine any disease like this to spread. The Undead Disease that only affected squirrels in Russia seem to spread all around the world!

Not only that but it’s now affecting humans! Borders have been shut down, the government is in shambles, & citizens are left to fight on their own.

Unluckily, Hotaka Ohkubo is stuck on his schools rooftop unable to leave. Locking the exit seems to work but for how long?

District A20 was an area situated on the north side of the city.
This location had been contaminated and had a virus strain going on. All the surrounding city districts were filled with zombies and a few mutated beasts.
Although it was dangerous, opportunities co-existed with crises.
Many parts of the mutated beasts were powerful ingredients and a few high-grade weapons were made from these parts.
Additionally, an object was found in every mutated beast's brains and had been hailed as 'Odd Crystal'. These objects had crystallized bodies with peculiar energy within that could greatly improve cultivation when a martial artist absorbed it while training.
Since it was their first visit to District A20 for actual combat, Luo Li had to be cautious and brought a team out.
They sat on the latest maglev train early in the morning and arrived at District A20 in less than a few hours.
The train was so fast that Lin Xiu thought he was on a rocket.
They were in a small scale town with gigantic walls around that prevented ordinary mutated beasts and zombies from breaking through immediately, so it was considered safe.
"I'm somewhat anxious." Yang Tian was equipped in protective clothes and held a blade as he commented.
"What're you scared of?" Lin Xiu laughed, he was instead very relaxed.
But he was slightly apprehensive inside. After all, it would be his first time killing the so-called zombies and mutated beasts.
"You're not afraid, but I am." Yang Tian mumbled to himself. After what happened previously, he no longer understood Lin Xiu anymore. Lin Xiu's victory over Xu Jun meant that his strength was already at the beginner warrior level.
Could It be that Lin Xiu was faking all along?
But that was impossible, who could possibly endure being called a loser for so long?
"Gather!" Right at this time, Luo Li shouted sternly at the front.
Everyone gathered in perfect rows the instant his voice rang out, making him nod in satisfaction.
"All of you have been training in the academy for a long time. Your strength has reached the level of beginner warriors and you are even equipped with battle blades, handling ordinary zombies and mutated beasts should not be a problem. But they seemed to be unwilling, as though being with Lin Xiu was embarrassing.
Lin Xiu did not bother about them at all.
"I will ask this one last time, have all of you decided to participate? Once you leave these doors, the roads outside will be filled with zombies and mutated beasts. Whether you live or die will depend on yourselves." Luo Li leaned against the wall right next to the big gates and asked as his eyes swept across the crowd.
"Yes!" Everyone agreed in unison.
Luo Li nodded his head in satisfaction, although he did not know of the result, at least there were no cowards within the group.
"Remember not to venture too far outside, the zombies and mutated beasts outside are very strong." Luo Li's expression became serious at this point.
Even as a 3rd rank martial artist, he had difficulties dealing with the higher rank mutated beasts.
The 20 of them were equipped with battle robes and blades supplied by Xin Yao Academy. 
Although the battle robes were soft, they were capable of withstanding ordinary attacks. The battle blades were manufactured using special alloys and were extremely sharp as well.
"Go on, and remember to bring the odd crystals back from the mutated beasts. You can exchange them for points back at District A20's supply shop."
After Luo Li's introduction, everyone headed out.
The instant they went out, everyone saw an endless forest ahead.
It seemed as though there were many structures hidden inside as well.
Lin Xiu was slightly shocked at the scene. The old city had been covered by a large forest, and the original form of the city was no longer recognizable.
When they left, the four teams walked in different directions.

"What're you acting for?" Yang Tian spat in disdain.
Lin Xiu looked around. He did not care about Zhang Yi's ridicule and concentrated his attention on his surroundings.
Although he had relied on power-up strikes to defeat both Ma Qiang and Xu Jun, his actual strength was still very weak.
And all the zombies and mutated beasts were fanatical that would engage in life and death battles upon encountering humans. They would never be merciful.
It could be said that a minor slip in judgment would lead to death!
"Over there!" Just then, a few scarlet dots appeared inside a structure that was covered with vines. Yang Tian's eyes immediately constricted when he saw that.
Lin Xiu immediately activated his Analytic Eyes.
"Rank 1, Zombie traits: Extremely slow, sharp teeth, carries virus strain. Overall combat strength: 380"
Damn, even a lower rank zombie had higher combat strength than him!
At this moment, Lin Xiu could not help but feel aggrieved. His current overall combat strength was 291. Although it had improved from 250, it was still extremely low compared to others'.
The zombies seemed to have sensed their presence and started to rush towards them.
As expected, the Analytic Eye was not wrong. The zombies moved extremely slowly and as long as one did not get caught, they were easy to deal with.
Zhang Yi, Ye Qiu, and Yang Tian immediately broke out in a cold sweat.

At that time, I will be able to destroy this celestial body!” After transmigrating into the body of a trash in a future where zombies and intellectual beasts existed, Lin Xiu accidentally obtained an upgrade system to transcend human limitations and devour the heavens!

At that point, the man who was hanging in the zombie cage had already stopped struggling and passed out.

The two level-three zombies had stopped fighting while the crowd of ordinary zombies were quietly staying in the cage. There was nothing fun to watch.
Except for Wu Chengyue who seemed to know something that the others didn't, the other people all wore an impatient look.
"Get down and see what's happening. Bring two new zombies if it's necessary," Si Kongchen frowned and gave his order with a low voice.
"Yes, sir!" Hou Guozhong, who was sitting behind him, nodded and stood up.
It had only been twenty minutes since the antidote was released. There was still an hour and ten minutes to go. As an unexpected situation happened so soon, the others looked a little disappointed.
But soon, things in the square changed again.
After shaking hands, the two zombies abruptly raised their heads and fixed their eyes on Lai Chengkang and the others who were on the fence wall. Then, they leaped on top of the cage and pounced on those people.
Puff! Their sharp claws penetrated the metal surface of the wall and allowed them to climb up quickly.
"Eh? What's happening now?" The people on the second floor were confused again.
"Oh, this is interesting! Chairman Liu, you didn't arrange this, did you?" Lan Lu laughed as he got out of his thinking.
"What… What's going on?" Liu Zhinan pulled a long face at that point.
On the fence wall, Lai Chengkang's face was also filled with surprise and confusion as he looked down at the two zombies which were swiftly climbing up.
"What is happening? What's wrong with these two zombies!" He glared at the two zombies and raised a hand to release a stream of flame. The flame made a circle above his head, then suddenly descended on the two level-three zombies.
Thud! The two zombies were sent back to the ground.
At that moment, a gust of wind blew the two level-three zombies away, also blowing off their heads.
Puff! Their heads were cut off and rolled to the side. Their thick blood splashed all over the ground.
"They were useless… Bring two new ones," Hou Guozhong landed before Lai Chengkang and said to the others.
"Yes, sir!" The others immediately leaped off the wall.
"What was wrong with those two?" Hou Guozhong asked with a frown.
"God knows!" Lai Chengkang responded, also with a frowning, sour face.
Soon, some people brought in the other two level-three zombies, and repeated the whole process, including the injection and evacuation.
The two zombies woke up and reacted in the same way as the former two. Even though they were interested in the living human being in the cage, facing a same-leveled zombie, they had no choice but to forget about the tempting food for now. 
"Will they do the same as the first two?" That was the only question that the people had now.
Among all, only Wu Chengyue was smiling a meaningful smile. He crossed his long and slender legs, tilted his shoulder, and rested his chin on his palm. Meanwhile, he glanced at the group of Huaxia people from time to time with a secret, delightful look in his eyes.
Clearly, someone was playing a trick again! That someone… Well, that female zombie always kept herself busy! 
Suddenly, Wu Chengyue wanted very much to see Lin Qiao. He wanted to see her face which was no longer covered in thick make-up, but was even prettier than before. He also wanted to see her cold and fierce eyes, and her beautiful body.
Ever since he did it with her in the lake in her space, he could never forget that feeling. Back then, he wasn't able to see her; but he felt her, and the feeling was real. He had seen her body. Before she died, she raped him, and at that time, she rode him wildly. 
Back then, he found that pair of snow-white, large breasts which were swaying before his eyes disgusting. But now, he somehow had an impulsion to touch them again!
Unwittingly, his mind fell into some dirty thoughts.
Si Kongchen and the other chairmen had been looking at the square with dark faces, without answering the question.
As some people expected, in just a few minutes, the two zombies behaved exactly the same way as the former two. They suddenly stopped fighting, then rushed at the people on the fence wall. Of course, they also ended up being cut by Hou Guozhong's wind blades.
Huaxia Base people weren't willing to give up. They sent in a third group and fourth group of zombies, but the results stayed the same.
By now, the people had realized that there was a problem.
"What happened, Chief Si? Have your zombies been switched by someone else? It seems like someone is controlling them!" said Li Zhengye with confusion.
At that moment, Si Kongchen's face had turned terribly sour as he stayed silent. Sitting by his side, Liu Zhinan responded smilingly.
"Of course not! But, I don't know what's happening either. I think I need to get down there and find out. I am deeply sorry for disappointing you all! Since the zombies are naughty today, let's switch to another show!"
At that point, some people served some bottled wine.
"This wine is made from the grapes that we grew by ourselves. We've been saving it for big occasions. I wonder if you guys have an interest in tasting it?" Liu Zhinan turned and picked up a bottle of wine and a glass which were handed to him by a subordinate, then spoke while pouring the wine into the glass.
After the apocalypse, people had stopped producing wines. They could barely feed themselves, so no one cared about wines anymore. Among all bases, only Huaxia Base had a huge farmland, which allowed them to grow fruits like grapes. They even luxuriously used the grapes to make wine!
"Oh! You have wine! Why didn't you serve that earlier!" Gao Haoyun, the man from Northeast, had his eyes glowing at the sight of the wine.
The alcoholic strength of the wine was low, yet it tasted much better than the weirdly bitter tea. 
"Yeah! I can't believe you've been hiding it! It's really not easy to have some wine these days! You are actually making wine by yourselves! How luxurious! That is too luxurious!" Lu Zhuofeng's eyes glowed as well. It was no strong liquor, but as long as it tasted like alcohol, it was good!
"I agree with Chief Lu!" Lan Lu fixed his eyes on the wine which was served to him by a pretty girl and couldn't help but agree with Lu Zhuofeng.
"Thank you! I don't even remember when I had wine the last time! I think it was before the apocalypse…" Wu Chengyue came back to his senses and politely thanked the girl who was serving him wine as he sighed. 


Lin Qiao remembers nothing from the past five years since the post-apocalyptic era began. She wakes up only to find herself having become a newborn, superpowered zombie, in a body that used to belong to an evil and notorious woman!

Having kidnapped a girl and raped her father, the previous host met her demise at the very hands of the conspiracies she courted all her life, leaving Lin Qiao no choice but to deal with the consequences while trying to figure out her own past and the fate of her loved ones.

Decades ago, earth was infected with an incurable 'disease.' Due to this global phenomenon, the world was thrown into chaos, crime rates were the highest ever in history, and the population of the world went down significantly. The world was put into an apocalyptic scenario.
This "disease" that has infected the earth could not be cured, no matter how much research was put into it. The researchers at the time could not find enough data and evidence to even produce a hypothesis, let alone a basic theory.
The victims that were infected with this disease were prevalent everywhere; schools, hospitals, the streets, their own homes, and even graveyards, as this disease can even affect humans after their death.
Like zombies, they come back to life and terrorize the masses in great numbers, and in honor of the fictional creature, the masses were quick to dub these beings as 'zombies' for a period of time.
Despite the name, they look nothing like them.
These things never appear the same, but they all have one thing in common. They are fearsome creatures that will induce the feeling of terror and panic to anyone who is unfortunate enough to meet their gaze. Their physical appearance can range from humanoid to outright monstrous.
During this state of mass hysteria, a hero appeared to challenge the zombies that has turned the world asunder.
A masked figure clad in all black, with a large grin, declared to the world, "I will create a world filled with smiles, free of suffering and torment! If you all wish the same brothers and sisters, then join me as we fight back these demons!" a pause followed, it was almost as if the earth stopped spinning, after a few seconds of deafening silence, the figure grinned even further and said "You may call me… Jester."
With mysterious powers, a handgun in his hand, and a broadsword in the other, he brought humanity back from the brink of destruction unaided.

He fought back against the zombies, appearing all across the world, slaying them with a broadsword so big that it may as well be a hunk of tempered steel, and a customized handgun that lights the zombies aflame.
He fights like a man possessed, cleaving armies of zombies with one swing of his sword, each flap of his wings causes sonic booms that can be heard from miles away. The bullets fired from his handgun shines with a light so luminous that it lights the night sky.
He was invincible.
But his presence did not last long, after he became renowned as a hero, he vanished and never to be seen again. Although his records and feats are forever recorded in history books. Few has seen his actual visage, the books said that he appeared as a demon with wings as dark as night, but some accounts have also said that he was a regular man in all black clothing. But no one knew for sure.
After the zombie menace has been defeated, a few still remain, zombies can still appear in dark, vacant alleyways, the public cemetery, and even in their own homes, although this case is extremely rare. Ancient zombies can still be found roaming at night, vestiges of the The First Jester's crusade.
That's why humanity decided to form an organization, gathering Jesters from all across the country, protecting the weak and hunting down zombies. 
They call themselves, 'The Miscreants'.

Noriyama Shun is a Japanese high school student who has been wronged by almost everyone around him, he has learned that most humans are egotistical creatures that only cares about themselves, and that he's tired of trying to be a righteous person, but can he really ignore someone who's in trouble? This is the story of how an underdog rises to become a hero of the people. A story of how a fool shakes the world to its core.

Bai Lang was surprised by what he saw outside. Some mountains seemed to have popped up out of nowhere. Up in the air there were some gigantic birds mid-flight. On the ground some humans seemed to be turning or were already turned into zombies. Some of the already turned zombies started to attack the people whom didn't regain their senses yet from everything that was happening.

In the streets some caves had popped up. Out of which you could see  some little green dwarfs appear. No, Bai Lang thought to himself, those are definitely not goblins. Goblins don't exist he screamed inside his head! 

The zombies seemed to be the humans which the god had dubbed 'unlucky test subjects'. Luck is really that important thought Bai Lang? Why do I suddenly feel like what's to come next is alot harder then it could have been if it didn't depend on luck he complained inside his mind. I never felt that particularly lucky in my life....

But maybe Bai Lang thought let's look at the upside since I wasn't lucky before the event, I get to be lucky now since I never used up any luck? It's sad that Bai Lang only would figure out in the next little more then 25 years that this wasn't really true sadly enough. 

Before Bai Lang could get over the surprise of everything what happend some fellow humans which were attacked by the goblins or zombies seemed to be able to fight back. Some humans screamed while they got devoured by zombies or goblins. Other people suddenly seemed to be able to form ice or a fire wall which kept the zombie and or goblin away from themselves. Other conjured a sword out of nowhere, but were to scared to use it and threw it down and started running away. But where could they go? The whole world was chaos.

From his window Bai Lang could see a husband pushing his wife into the mob of zombies to get away. At the other end of the street a child's crying was attracting the monsters, therefore the mother decisively put down the child turned away and ran. 

Bai Lang was stunned is this what the world really has come too? For once Bai Lang was happy for his upbringing. Bai Lang was raised knowing the cruelties of war and the sacrifices it required. While also being taught  that not every human could bear these responsibilities and burdens. Bai Lang always considered that to be true, but right now Bai Lang could see with his own eyes what happend when people were made responsible for their own safety and the safety of others and what choices people would make when bearing this responsibility under the threat of life and dead. Bai Lang quickly realized it would turn most people in actual monsters although still being human.

It made people ruthless because people were absolutely terrified and able to do almost anything to ensure their own safety. Bai Lang realized ofcourse there would be some exceptions to this rule. People who would die trying to save and protect family members. But Bai Lang also realized that these people would be in the minority. Besides these 'good people' whom sacraficed themselves died, which would mean that even if their would be still 'good human beings' they would be in the vast minority after the start of Paradise, especially since people with an actual good heart were even scarce to find before the start of Paradise. 

Before Paradise started a stranger might lend you a helping hand. It didn't take Bai Lang long to realize that after today that would be a thing of the past. No human would help another at risk of their own safety. Realizing this Bai Lang was scared of what the future would hold.

Bai Lang thought about everything what happened after the world changed. He recalled the feeling of being dunked in a big tank of ice cold water. During this experience Bai Lang also registered screams coming from outside during this time. Bai Lang made the assumption that this feeling was in some way related to powers some people got? The zombies what about them Bai Lang thought? Are they the humans who failed to go through this transformation and therefore became 'failed test subjects' aka zombies? The more Bai Lang thought about it the more plausible it felt to him that this was the indeed the case.

After living in Paradise for two years already Bai Lang felt like he knew everything there was to know about the ruthlessness of humans. However Bai Lang soon realized that he still underestimated the true meaning of cruelty humans were capable of in the second year after the start of Paradise. In the second year his still then fiance Claire ( whom he never married since he promised Mitzuki not too) ran ahead of him turned around and blocked of the exit behind her. 

Through the window which was busted a long time ago he could hear Claire crying. She cried about how Bai Lang tripped and fell twisting his knee. How Claire had gone back to help Bai Lang but he refused her help and let Claire go ahead. How Claire decided to run to get Georgi's help. But before she could get Georgi's help, Bai Lang was ambushed by zombies. Claire continued by depicting how horrible it was seeing Bai Lang die screaming for her to get to safety. 

Bai Lang felt like he was hit over the head, how what happened? He clearly ran back to help Claire when she tripped. After helping her stand up some zombies were nearby so he had to take them out first, which gave Claire the chance to run ahead of him and that is when Claire locked him inside. When Bai Lang was about to call out that he was still alive, Bai Lang heard Georgi say Bai Lang wanted you to be safe. It isn't safe here move out. 

Bai Lang was absolutely godsmacked by the fact that the group abandoned him within just a few minutes without even checking if he really was dead. Especially since this group had his family members, his fiance's family and soldiers under his brothers command.

During there two years Bai Lang made sure to make himself usefull to the group. Since he wasn't a soldier before the end of the world he obviously wasn't as skilled a fighter as everyone else. However that didn't mean he couldn't fight at all?! Bai Lang fought himself never dragged people down in his group and protected himself with the skills he acquired from the training Bai Lang received while he was young. 

All the studies Bai Lang did while he was young came in handy to. He invented alot of gadgets with drops and the new materials which came to the world. Did research on the classes of this God game system and what it entails so people wouldn't chose something that didn't fit them. Bai Lang was sure he didn't lie if he said he was one of the reasons, one of the important reasons why the group was even still alive today. Because of his, Bai Lang's, research and his gadgets?! And they just left him for dead without taking a minute to check, if he was actually dead?

Bai Lang felt utterly betrayed for two years he was running on fumes too make sure to give everything to a group whom never really seemed to appreciate him much. But Bai Lang figured he was just imagining things because of his low self esteem issues, which Bai Lang had struggled with since he was young. Bai Lang felt like he gave them everything and they couldn't even wait a minute to check if he was dead? Bai Lang felt utterly dispirited. This was even made worse when Bai Lang was finally able to make his way back to HQ in the evening and everyone had moved out. The entire group had moved out without even leaving a note for the chance that Bai Lang was still out there. Bai Lang realized his brother and parents thought he was dead since Claire told them he was, but not even leaving a single clue behind about to where the group was going confirmed to Bai Lang the entire group thought he was dead and accepted this as a fact and moved on without any problems. This was the day Bai Lang completely gave up on humanity. The only one Bai Lang still held hope for was his best friend Yao Mitzuki, but was he even still alive?

Bai Lang was never really part of his family which had a military background. He was different and often called and seen as a "the nerd". 

His only light was Yao Mitzuki a friend from highschool. Mitzuki often told him that he had his own light and he was brilliant. Encouraging Bai Lang too chase his dreams and studie whichever subject he found interesting. The sad part was Mitzuki left on mission leaving his dog tags with Bai Lang . Mitzuki told Bai Lang not to marry before he came back from his mission. Too bad the event happened and Bai Lang wasn't able to find Mitzuki. When Bai Lang did finally find Mitzuki, Bai Lang was on deaths door and simply thought he was having an hallucination. 
 
God made the world into a big "playground". All humans in this playground became gods 'test subjects'. Simply because God was disappointed with the world he received while winning a gamble with another God.

To make the world into a playground. Monsters, zombies, myths and powers came alive in this world. 

Bai Lang and Mitzuki lived in this world for a bit more then 25 years before he found himself back in time. Before the start of the event and they were determined to live differently this time around.
