How awful would it be when you're so obsessed on a game and you skip meals and sleep just to keep leveling up and when you finally are one of the strongest player and ranked one at the global leaderboards you died. Yes that's right, you freaking died after achieving something you worked hard for, it's sucks but since when was life fair? with success comes a few sacrifices and you're just idiotic enough to sacrifice your own life. If you think all problems ended there and you could just lay down on your deathbed peacefully, you suddenly woke up in a somewhat familiar place. It was the game you're always playing, you were inside it yet everything seemed so real? well you have no time to be confused because a bunch of walking corpse just saw you and would like to take a bite at your flesh.

Her name is Crystal. Just Crystal. And zombie killing is her game. Before the Apocalypse her game was actually designing games from the ground up. Her most popular? You guessed it, Zombie Massacre . Who says you can’t apply games to real life? But even she can’t say she wasn’t surprised or scared when she found a Zombie in her closet, oh boy she was terrified.

Ever since then, Hu He would spend a lot of time understanding the Secret of the Zombie Spirit Sect, but he did follow his grandfather's warning of not cultivating.
As for the reason why he wanted to test the power of this ancient book in the game, it was due to a bizarre event that he noticed in the game yesterday.
That day when he was claiming new turf in the Naraka Instance Dungeon with his team, they met an elite monster named Zombie Fire and were attacked by it.
Being the assassin on the team, Hu He swiftly moved beside Zombie Fire while it was attacking, searching for a chance to attack.
Unexpectedly, Zombie Fire suddenly changed its attacking direction and charged toward him.
The sudden attack cost almost half of his health and another attack followed immediately.
Just when he was about to be killed, he found that there was a fiery red bead under Zombie Fire's left underarm.
As he was very familiar with the Secret of the Zombie Spirit Sect, Hu He recognized this bead. It was named Leakage, a weakness point deliberately left by the Zombie Forgemaster.
When a zombie spirit is successfully created, they will automatically take in Yin energy from the world, cultivating and progressing without being noticed. Through this, ferocious spirits could easily be born. Leakage was purposely made to prevent the zombie spirit from attacking their owners, thus giving the Zombie Forgemaster extra protection.
If it was only that, Hu He could regard it as a coincidence.
However, when his dagger cut open the red bead, the scene astonished him.
Gusts of thick black fog escaped from Zombie Fire's underarm after the bead cracked, causing it to slow down its motion and ultimately saved Hu He from this deadly attack.
The discharging of zombie energy was indeed identical to the records in the ancient book.
Was Zombie Fire made by a Zombie Forgemaster? Hu He seemed extremely shocked.
After the zombie energy was discharged, Zombie Fire was easily killed by his team due to the great reduction in its strength and speed.
However, Hu He found all of this strange.
Why did the same forged-zombie appear in the game as recorded in the ancient book? Was the founder of this game also a descendant of the Zombie Spirit Sect? Is this why he added the same easter egg in the game?
Even Hu He himself thought that his hypothesis was unreasonable, but he just couldn't shake it off.
If his guess is correct and the game's founder is indeed a descendant of the Zombie Spirit Sect, then he might be able to use the secrets of the Zombie Spirit Sect in the game.
He wouldn't dare to learn them in reality, but since he did not have to worry about his body getting damaged in the game, Hu He went to the Burial Grounds without any pressure in order to prove that. He started to search for body remains, trying to make a zombie out of what he learned from the ancient book.

Looking at the remains on the ground, Hu He waved his hand and the photos in the gallery started to flip by pages.
He built the zombie while referring to the ancient book. Then, he followed the method recorded in the book to summon a spirit by using his blood. He tried again and again according to the procedures.
Although he had read the ancient book many times and the graphics of zombie building were already very familiar to him, it wasn't until he actually tried it when he realized that it was so much harder to do it.
After a few trials of building and summoning, Hu He was discouraged by his failure to awaken the zombie spirit, leading him to think that perhaps he was being too sensitive.
According to his grandfather, they were probably the only bloodline left from the Zombie Spirit Sect. It was impossible that there were other descendants, let alone them being the game's creators.
Unwilling to accept his results, Hu He decided to try one last time. If he failed again, he would give up.
So he built it again by following the method in the ancient book.
But just as he had expected, he failed again.
The zombie spirit was still not awakened.
Disappointed, Hu He completely gave up as he did not want to waste any more time. Just when he was about to leave, the sound of the game's notification rang in his ears.

There really is a hidden easter egg! So my guess was correct? Hu He's face was full of surprise.

Actually, as soon as Hu He started building the zombie, Lu Wu and Bei Li already noticed him and the Secret of the Zombie Spirit Sect in his gallery.
This player was portraying strength beyond what the artifact had given and Lu Wu was totally astonished by him. He thought Hu He was also a cultivator in real life.
However, Bei Li's inference was different. For her, Hu He's zombie forging techniques were far too amateur. He did not even master the basics as a Zombie Forgemaster and his soul strength was like a normal person's. He was a total stranger and could not even be considered as a cultivator.
However, his actions sparked Lu Wu's curiosity. So he asked Bei Li if this kind of power could be progressed digitally under the artifact.
According to Bei Li, Hu He's zombie forging skills was probably a branch of a cultivation system in the underworld which was popular there. Since there was no related data saved in the artifact, if it were to be digitized, the future progress of this character class would be unknown, but most probably the result would be this account going astray.
After all, character classes like the Cursed Apostle and the Rune Master were created out of years of collection created by other clans in the underworld.
So this Zombie Forgemaster could not be compared to the other character classes in the system. Furthermore, this player was a complete clueless rookie. Even if he changed his character class, he would only be slightly stronger than his original one, the assassin. There was no way that he could beat the other specified character classes in the system.
However, Lu Wu still hoped that this player could grasp this self-exploration path, providing the game with one more varied progression path. Nonetheless, as he was not in a position to decide, he gave the player the chance to choose.
After all, Lu Wu's vision for the game was to provide freedom to the players, allowing them to unleash their own potential. Therefore, the players would always surprise him.

Looking at the game notification, Hu He's heart pounded with excitement, wanting to confirm immediately.
However, he hesitated.
His initial aim was to become a Cursed Apostle, mastering the powers of the Naraka Realm. But this character class came with a term that said no giving up, so there was no turning back once he had made his choice.
Moreover, this game did not allow account deletion and restarting. So the outcome of his choice was a great sacrifice.
It was then Hu He's grandfather's face appeared in his mind.
Although I can't cultivate this in reality, I could inherit my grandfather's mission and follow his footsteps in another form if I choose this character class.
Right after that, Hu He's eyes glowed with firmness, and he chose to confirm.

Lu Wu, an aimless video game developer, had been feeling perturbed ever since he found out he was the direct descendant of a king from the underworld. Other than the title, His Excellency, his ancestor hadn't passed down anything else to him. On top of that, all of his ancestor’s subordinates had rebelled against him and completely usurped his inherited territory.
Under the circumstances, Lu Wu built a battle game server with the help of his new mysterious friend and transported gamers from the real world straight to the underworld using virtual reality. They then created the main quest, the character classes, the Instance Dungeon, the storyline, and the non-player characters for the game.
Relying solely on these video gamers’ strengths, Lu Wu began his expedition to reclaim his rightful inheritance. What could possibly go wrong?

The zombie's face was rotten, there was a hole in its nose, its left eye popped out of its socket, and Maggots were wriggling in its mouth. The zombie was quite disgusting even for Tang Shaoyang.

The zombie approached Tang Shaoyang. Its movement was so slow, it was about the same about of kids walking speed. When the zombie arrived before Tang Shaoyang, it brandished its rotten claw toward him.

For an experienced Tang Shaoyang, it was quite easy to dodge the attack. He moved to the left and avoided the rotten claw.

Bang!

The zombie hit Tang Shaoyang's wooden bed and the bed was broken into two. It was moved so slow, but it had a big strength. Tang Shaoyang himself shocked that the zombie could break his wooden bed.

After failing the first attack, the zombie turned to Tang Shaoyang again. Slowly, it approached Tang Shaoyang.

Meanwhile, Tang Shaoyang was looking for his pipe. After coming back from the battle, he went to bed and now he forgot where he placed his pipe. As the zombie drew near, finally Tang Shaoyang found his pipe.

The pipe was beside the bed. He could not see it earlier with the zombie blocked his view. The pipe was right behind the zombie.

Fwoosh!

The zombie once again swung its arm toward Tang Shaoyang. At the same time, Tang Shaoyang rolled forward and easily dodges the zombie's hand. As he rolled down, his hand reached to his pipe, the biggest one.

He picked up the pipe and distanced himself away from the zombie.

"Hmm, let's see. In the movie, one has to destroy the head to kill the zombies."

Without waiting for the zombie to approach him, Tang Shaoyang moved forward. Zombie's movement somewhat slow, but its reaction was fast.

The zombie swung its hand forward, but zombie slow movement was its biggest weakness. Tang Shaoyang easily dodged the hand as he moved to the right.

From the zombie's left side, Tang Shaoyang swung the pipe to the zombie's head back.

Bagh!

There was no way the slow zombie could avoid Tang Shaoyang's pipe. The zombie fell forward hard. Tang Shaoyang also retreated, he was afraid of the zombie's head would burst and have its blood splashed to him.

Even though he did not know if the zombie's blood could infect him or not, but Tang Shaoyang still avoided it. He did not want to die young, there were still many things he wanted to do.

Tang Shaoyang distanced himself from the zombie, but the zombie's head was quite hard. It did not get destroyed even was hit by a steel pipe.

Graorhh!

The zombie struggled to get up after falling down hard. Tang Shaoyang advanced forward and swung his steel pipe to zombie's head once again.

"One hit is not enough, then I will hit you again!"

Bagh!

The zombie's head was really hard, even after receiving two hits from the steel pipe, it still complete. However, from the place where he hit, green liquid flowed down.

"Two hits were not enough, then three. Three hits are not enough, then four hits…"

Tang Shaoyang kept hitting the zombie's head until the head was destroyed beyond recognition.

Splash!

The green liquid splashed onto his clothes. Tang Shaoyang immediately removed his clothes and threw them away. After removing his clothes, his fine body was exposed. His body was full of scars.

Tang Shaoyang checked if the blood reached his body. He did not find the green liquid on his body, Tang Shaoyang relieved. However, next, he realized something weird to his body. The wound he got from last night's fight was gone.

Yes, the wound on his body and hand vanished. Moreover, now he just realized his body was lighter than before.

Tang Shaoyang furrowed his brows as he was pondering things that happened here. A strange robotic voice, a zombie appeared out of nowhere, and all his wounds were healed. Everything was surreal for him to believe.

"Am I in my dream?"

Tang Shaoyang could not help but come with a rather absurd conclusion. Everything was surreal, but he felt the sensation was so real to be a dream.

In confusion, Tang Shaoyang turned around and approached the wall.

Bam!

Tang Shaoyang hit the wall with his own head.

"Urgh!"

He let out a pained groan as he rubbed his forehead. If he was in a dream, he should have woken up by now. But it turned out this was not a dream, the headless zombie was still there.

"Hmm, so the robotic voice and zombie thing are real."

Tang Shaoyang held his chin and walked toward the bed's head. He pulled the drawer and took a plain white shirt.

"It said the game started, but what game? What's the game's purpose? And where did this zombie come from?"

Tang Shaoyang fell into deep thought. Puzzled after puzzled appeared in his mind.

"I am not a fan of the game, but in each game, there's must be a way to finish the game. But…" The more he thought about it, the more confused he became.

Tang Shaoyang liked to watch a movie, but he was not a fan of the game. Last time he played the game, it was Playstation One. He played a soccer game.

Since he dropped the school and entered the underworld. Tang Shaoyang never played a game anymore.

"Arghhh!"

Tang Shaoyang scratched his hair in frustration.

"In the movie, the virus is the cause of the people turns into a zombie. However, this zombie is not caused by a virus, it just appeared out of nowhere."

Tang Shaoyang was living alone. That was why he came into this conclusion.

"If zombies really appeared out of nowhere just like in my place, then what about…"

Here Tang Shaoyang rose up and dashed out of his house. He was the ruler of Youyouliucun District and he lived at the end of the district. When he opened the door, there were many zombies walking around the street.

As Tang Shaoyang went out, the zombies stopped moving and turned their heads toward him.

"Oh, shit. There are too many zombies here. They are slow, but their strength could not be underestimated. If I am surrounded, I am done for."

Fighting against zombies was different than fighting the people. Even he was getting hit by a fist, stick, pipe, or even blade, he would not die instantly as long as he avoided the vital point. However, if it was a zombie, he had to extra be careful.

One hit from a zombie might turn him into a zombie as well. It was not different than death itself. Moreover, one hit from his pipe would not be able to kill a zombie. He at least needed five to seven hits to kill one zombie.

The best choice was to escape and find a good weapon to kill this zombie. However, Tang Shaoyang did not escape, he chose to fight these zombies.

"I have to save my people and kill these damn intruders (zombies)."

He scanned the surrounding. The nearest zombie was 10 meters away from him.

"You will be the first prey of this Berserk Tang!"

Tang Shaoyang rushed toward the nearest zombie while the zombies who were aware of his presence also swarmed toward him.

Considering the zombie's slow movement, he had five to ten seconds to finish a zombie so he would not get surrounded by the zombies.

Tang Shaoyang easily dodges the zombie claw and ran behind the zombie.

Bugh!

He hit the zombie's head with all his might. Without any resistance, the zombie fell. Tang Shaoyang immediately swung his steel pipe again.

This time, Tang Shaoyang crushed the zombie's head with three hits. He was delighted with such a result. But it was not the time to get happy, he still needed to take clean his territory from these filthy zombies to rescue his people.

He scanned the surrounding once again and found the nearest zombie was three meters away. Tang Shaoyang charged forward.

Bugh! Bugh! Bugh!

Another three hits to finish off one zombie. After he killed the fifth zombie, Tang Shaoyang's movement became even more agile.

When he finished off the ninth zombie, the strange robotic voice resounded again in his mind.

"You have leveled up!"

"You gained 2 attribute points!"

"You can allocate the attribute point by opening the status screen!"

Heero froze on the spot for a moment. The robotic voice distracted him, but he immediately moved away.

"Level up? Attribute point? Status screen? What is that?"

Heero muttered in confusion. However, next, he saw something even more unbelievable. A screen appeared and his name was on the screen, showing things that he could not understand.

Chapter 3: Peashooter in action

MC POV:

(George) "What the heck? A zombie? In my lawn?... Ahem, I mean in my apartment?"

(George) 'Thankfully it is the slow type zombie-like in the PVZ game despite it having a body just the same as a human physique.'

(George) 'If it was the runner or fast running type in the modern version zombies, I think I will die instantly. Still, I better kill him quickly as although he is slow, it is not a snail.'

(George) "Let's see <Seed Creation: Peashooter>"

As I activated my skills, a seed with the size of half a thumb appeared in my palm.

(George) 'looks like I need to throw it myself, huh. Okay Peashooter, I choose you!'

I throw the seed in my hand as I shout the catchphrase of a certain anime and game that deals with a monster that you can stuff to a ball in my mind as I don't want to attract more zombies. The seed is thrown 1 meter in front of me between me and my zombies as it makes contact with the ceramic of my floor and bounces half a meter to the front.

(George) 'Ugh… I forgot that my ceramic floor is not dirt or soil. Is my Quick Growth still able to be used? Let's test it <Quick Growth>'

~Ding~
[No target found in skills designed area. Seeds need to be inside or on top of some type of soil before being able to grow]

(George) 'Oh salad, this will be a problem when I have combat in an urban environment where all soil is covered with concrete and asphalt. Well, I better find a solution right now or my brain is gonna be eaten. Right! My garden!'

I ran to my garden as I was chased by a zombie behind me. It was quick of me to directly open the door to my garden with my key and enter inside.

Arriving in my garden, I look for an empty pot with soil inside to grow my plant. I was really glad right now that I have a garden in my apartment with some empty pot with soil ready for use.

(George) "Found it!"

(George) 'Now!, <Seed Creation: Peashooter>'

After I made sure the seed is planted inside the soil, I began my next course of action.

(George) 'and finally <Quick Growth>!'

After I cast my skills, the seed in the potted plant just sprouted immediately and quickly grew to maturity in just 1 second. It was good of me to put it inside a big pot as the size of the peashooter is massive if I have to say.

If I compare it to the tile in the game, 1 tile is 1 meter squared and the height of the plant depends on the size in the game I think. It might be a ratio to the pixel used for their design in the game but, I don't really know their exact size in the game, so I am not really sure.

(Zombie) "Braaaiins….."

As the zombie comes inside the garden, I realise that the peashooter is not doing anything. It was just shaking its leaves and staring at the zombie.

(George) 'Oh right! I also need to control it as I supposed they are not automatically attacking the enemy huh.'

(George) 'Fine, here it comes <Plant Command>'

As I activate the skills, I urge my will to command the plant using my mind first to test whether they are able to follow my command just with my will.

After I command it, the peashooter starts shooting the pea that he produces? And damaged the zombies.

(George) 'looks like it can respond to mental command huh?'

The peashooter keeps on shooting the peas toward the zombie with 100% accuracy due to the slow speed of the zombie. However, the zombie kept coming towards me and ignored the peashooter as he walked past it.

If not because its hand finally dropped just like in the game, I would have run from my place and didn't believe that I can damage a zombie using a pea the size of a baseball. 

I keep counting the number of peas the peashooter shoots toward the zombie for data collection and it is until the peashooter shoots the tenth pea that the zombie head finally falls down, signaling its death.

(George) 'So it is the same as the game where the normal zombie needs 10 peas to kill a zombie. Weird… I remember that I have a perk saying that I got +100% increased damage against zombies, does it mean my plant damage is lower than in the game or the health point of the zombie is higher than in the game?'

As the zombie falls down, it turns into particles of light before disappearing, leaving some small, marble-size orb of blue light in the vicinity. The orb of light then flies toward me and enters inside my body.

(George) 'What? Is this experience?'

I'm shocked as some light orb just enters my body and is absorbed inside.

(George) "So that is experience orb huh? It also looks like my level finally went up, but it seems I am still a tier 0 entity huh? I wonder what would qualify you as a tier 1 entity? Besides an increase in my level, all my skills also level up from the previous fight even though I only kill 1 zombie."

(George) "As for improvement, I got a new plant [sunflower] which is the most important plant type in plant vs zombie so I need to check how it works in my case. I also got new skills that many PvZ players will definitely know. Now, let's see if this skill is what I think of, [Status]!"

As I said this word, my new status along with the change I got is displayed inside my head.

In this world, your class matter to your life. NO!, this is not a fantasy game-like novel introduction of how the weak class will amount to nothing in their world and somehow the MC with a weak ass class or classless will become OP. This is a zombie Apocalyptic world where those who have a strong class survive and weaker class died from the bizarre variation of zombie and monster in this world.

What would happen when someone has a class of gardeners? They die! That's it. I mean, how do you think you are going to fight zombies with flowers and your plant? oh, wait! that is what our MC has done, taking inspiration from the Plant Vs Zombie game, he uses his gardener class to its maximum potential, killing zombies left and right.

Author note: Well I honestly don't know how I am going to do this, I am just trying to create something that I really want to know as there is only 1 Plant vs Zombie related fanfic with the apocalypse that I know(but it is a fucking BL). Since no one really created one, I'm gonna created it myself.

The ability will be modified to be similar(but not the same) to the garden warfare version of PVZ(plants are able to walk)(not in the beginning though). 
Of course, there is also limitation such as ......well it will be a spoiler right... just enjoy!

One day a young man was playing the newest popular game called Destiny,  it's an MMORPG game which will scare the hell out of you and give you a thrill of a life time. Sky is just in his teens but he's already a pro gamer and one of the best.  He is sought after by big companies to play for them. 
"Dude this game is lit there's a lot of monsters to battle with.  Zombies,  Vampires and other kinds of monsters.  And the monsters called nightmares are really scary it just looks so real. " said the guy playing a priest in the game.
Sky was also impressed about the game, its characters, mechanics, and gameplay. He chose the character of a swordsman cause he likes swords and close combat.  " I know but isn't this game too realistic?  Anyway  let's just continue playing and quickly build our own guild to compete in the events.  I'm aiming to be top player this time" Sky said with a grin on his face. 
The competition is hard for a new game, everybody wants to be at the top. 
They continued playing till they're both tired.  After playing Sky fell asleep due to exhaustion. 
That night while Sky was fast asleep and dreaming. A voice suddenly came to his dream. 
" Your soul is being summoned to another world.  Be the light in the world full of darkness,  be the hope that people need in chaos.  You will be given a chance to change your destiny and the people around you. "
On the 7th night of darkness Sky's soul transmigrated to the body of a poor young orphan boy with the same name as him whose struggling to live on the kingdom of Aether. 
Sky woke up feeling weak in a small dark room. "Where am i? " Sky said feeling confused, The room was just enough for one bed. The orphan boy was working as a cleaner in a shop full of weapons. Then while still confused of what happened.  The memories of the orphan boy and his have merged,  he also remembered the voice in his dream telling him about his soul being transferred to another world. "I can't believe this why did this happen to me of all people? " Sky sadly said.  Suddenly he heard there's shouting and screaming outside the shop. "Help!  help!  Please no!  Help!" Sky heard the voice coming outside it was the voice of the Madame who owns the shop. Sky slowly went to the door to take a peek on what's happening.  He saw the woman getting bitten by a zombie. "Holy s**t is that the zombie from the game?  Why is it here? " Sky hurriedly  closed the door and ran towards his bed.  Under the bed there was a short sword that the blacksmith gave to him to protect himself while he was running his errands to collect the weapons to be sold at the shop. The screaming had stopped, he stayed in the room while nervously holding the sword to defend himself. Sky heard the footsteps walking farther away from the shop. He slowly went to check what happened outside of his room,  he saw his boss lying lifeless with blood on the floor. The shop was clear of the zombie,  it seems that the zombie was trying to find another victim somewhere else.  Sky slowly went to check on his boss if she's still alive or else, when suddenly the lifeless body of the woman started to move slowly turning into a zombie and starting to crawl towards him.  Sky knew that the zombie have some kind of virus that can spread through being bitten by it. He rushed to swing his short sword aiming to slice it to the neck of the zombie, while it was still not fully transformed. The head of the zombie flew away. Sky's heart was beating very fast and he's sweating,  it was a fight or flight response from the body,  to kill or be killed by the zombie,  even though its his first time killing somebody or some zombie,  the only feeling that he have was adrenaline and being nervous at the same time. After he killed the zombie he suddenly heard a ring his mind.

-The story revolves a young man named Sky,  Who was transfered to the body of an orphan boy in another world. The modern monsters and nightmares from earth such as zombies, vampires etc. was also transferred to that world,  throwing it into chaos with monsters and darkness,  follow sky as he take the path of struggling, surviving, protecting the ones he love. Unraveling the mysteries of the world enveloped by the darkness. -

The effects of the Potion settled in quickly, and Chen Mo returned to his memories from many years ago.
The first memories were the shapes of the plants: dragon-like peashooter[1], a certain-singer-whose-last-name-is-Gao-looking squash, the potato mine with the joystick on its head, the sunflower with the mysterious smile, the walnut with its eyes open like light bulbs...
After that were the various types of zombies: normal zombie, conehead zombie, pole-vaulting zombie, buckethead zombie, football zombie, dancing zombie...
There were also the different zones, such as the front lawn, night, pool, and so on.
As his memories cleared up, Chen Mo grabbed his drawing tablet and started making some sketches of the plants and zombies, paying particular attention to details and features in order to best recreate them.
Afterwards, Chen Mo started to recall the flow of the game.
When the game was started, the words that Crazy Dave said, from planting the first plants, beating the first zombie, to unlocking levels, unlocking new plants, beating the boss...
Chen Mo was making notes as he remembered, taking notes of everything noteworthy in detail for every level, such as the levels where plants were unlocked, and the levels where special modes were unlocked.
After that was the numbers.
The time between shots of a peashooter, the damage increase that torchwood provided, the movement speed reduction of the wintermelon, the health amounts of the various zombies...
These numbers might seem insignificant, but they could affect the entire structure of the game. As Chen Mo's coding abilities were limited, he could only resort to silly methods like this.

Chen Mo let out a sign of relief, as the past four hours he had been extremely focused. As he relaxed, he could feel his body catching up.
However, it wasn't time to rest. He used whatever still remained in his memory to fill out numbers he might've missed, as he was afraid to miss out on any detail.
Memories of humans faded over time. The Memory Playback Potion could only guarantee free access to memories for four hours. Once it was over, the memories would slowly fade away.

After working two more hours, Chen Mo let out a deep breath, taking a sip of water while slouching in the chair.
The desktop had a design document filled with thousands of lines of the details for the game. There was also a sketches folder filled with everything: sketches of plants, zombies, scenes, even the layout of the UI.
The Memory Playback Potion was used by Chen Mo, right down to the last drop!
"Man, that was exhausting." Chen Mo wiped the sweat off his forehead. He was about to break after staying highly focused for six hours.
But why did he put himself in such a difficult place? Because there was only one Potion! If there were two bottles, he could've done it with ease, one today and one tomorrow. He wouldn't have to worry so much if he had eight whole hours to write down every single detail of the game.
But Chen Mo knew that he had to make money and pay bills!

Chen Mo walked around, ate some snacks and a few pieces of chocolate, made a cup of coffee, and took a small break before going back to work.
Next up was to refine the design document, finalize some of the design details, and put it into the design document. The details might seem excessive, but had a great effect on the experience of the game, so Chen Mo didn't overlook any of it.

Sorting through the documents took Chen Mo another week.
After a week, the design document of the game was basically finalized. The details were also refined. The rules, layout, and the design of the plants and zombies were all finished.
Chen Mo then entered the rules into the video game engine. It would then automatically generate a video game project, which Chen Mo could then modify.
Generating the project took one to three days time. The more rules there were, the more time it would take.
Chen Mo wanted to use this time to finalize all the calculations in the game.
Some basic attributes of the plants included damage, health, range, attack frequency, attack area, ready time (activation time after being placed down), cooldown (after placing down the plant), cost, damage to the environment, and more.
Chen Mo wanted to list every attribute for every single plant and zombie, while constantly verifying it.
The numbers he had written down before were hugely helpful. The numbers between different plants and zombies could be cross-verified, making it much easier.
The number-crunching was completed in two days. As Chen Mo had huge lists of numbers in the details for reference, it wouldn't be too different from the original from his previous life.
Next up was to test and adjust!

During this time, the Illusion Game Engine had generated the project, which Chen Mo temporarily named PVZ. This was only a placeholder, a new and better name would have to be decided when the game was released.
Chen Mo checked out some of the rules and mechanics after opening up the project. There wasn't much to do other than patching up some errors in the ruleset and some logical errors.
Afterwards, Chen Mo entered the various numbers into the Game Engine, along with the various artwork of the plants and zombies. With that, a simple working demo was produced.
As of now, there wasn't a tutorial or any levels.
Chen Mo initialized a scene and planted some peashooters, with a normal zombie at the other end.
Pop, pop, pop...
Under the relentless attacks of the peashooter, the zombie fell.
The tempo was alright. Chen Mo proceeded to test out a couple other zombies and plants, which had no problem. Other than adjusting a few numbers that didn't feel quite right, everything else was OK.
Afterwards Chen Mo worked on the zones and level design.
Making the level flow was a highly technical part of level design. It needed to stimulate the player, not overwhelm the player.
Chen Mo had taken down a bunch of details on the layout of each level. The approximate numbers of zombies per level and when the plants were unlocked were all recorded, which made it a lot easier.
In five days time Chen Mo fully developed the different zones and the flow of the levels, along with the tutorial. It seemed the adventure mode of Plants vs Zombies had been successfully recreated by Chen Mo.

"Is he really going to pass it?!" Sia gazed at Fang Qi's screen in a daze.
"This sword technique is indeed powerful, and the shop owner's control of it is very good." Luo Piaoling shook his head and said in a grim voice, "But… It isn't so easy to defeat a boss at King Difficulty Level!"
Now that Fang Qi achieved tremendous strength growth after advancing to a subclass and obtaining level 20 equipment, everyone knew that the boss wouldn't be able to heal its injury faster than Fang Qi's attacks.
But the battle wouldn't be short.

Then, the Drive Slash which connected three times knocked it down completely.
The greatsword left a line of blinding sparks on the ground before slashing upward with force.
Losing its balance, the zombie king was thrown high up into the sky.
Fang Qi's huge sword technique was learned from Cloud. With this heavy sword, it was easier for him to toss up his opponent compared to thin swords such as the lightsaber.
Fang Qi put more force into his arms and tossed the zombie king into the air vertically with tremendous strength.
Then, he leaped into the air swiftly.
"Will the shop owner use Cloud's technique?!" Seeing this move, someone exclaimed.
"I think it's the technique that Sephiroth used to toss up Cloud!"
"Mr. Fang switched his weapon again!"
Fang Qi returned to the lightsabre and struck twice using Moonlight Slashes from the air!
However, the Moonlight Slashes struck nothing.
"He missed?!" Everyone stared at the scene in bafflement, wondering if Fang Qi had missed his target this time after striking the boss many times before.
"No!" Luo Piaoling said, "He did it on purpose!"
Nalan Hongwu said, "Since there are no techniques which has the same effects as Heavy Fall in the game, he used the Moonlight Slash to accelerate his fall!" 
[TL Note: Heavy Fall is a martial art technique where people can drop from the air faster.]
Sure enough, Fang Qi landed on the ground before the zombie king and used Secret Sword Art again!
The force of the sword wasn't huge, but it had the right force to stop the zombie king from falling.
"Dodge! Dodge! Or defense!" Sia looked more impatient than the boss itself.
"How come the boss became so stupid?!" Even if it couldn't dodge, it could parry with its arms to disrupt Fang Qi's attacks so that he couldn't combo.
The boss wasn't an ordinary zombie and had a certain level of intelligence. Besides, a boss in a dungeon at King Difficulty Level wouldn't be so dumb as to get beaten without fighting back.

To able to live again on the earth surface, the only way is to eradicate all zombie and mutant that roaming free in earth surface and reshape the human dominance once again in the earth. With limited resources that keep in the shelter, the scientist there managed to create battle suit armor that can block the effect of Red Sunlight. 
You're the chosen individuals among the survivors, the destiny of humankind's lies on your hands.
The tester will divide into groups and deployed to different cities all around China. Since this testing will be limited to China server only, crossing national borders option still unavailable.

Game mission
Since the weapon is limited in the shelter, 
Your first mission: is to retrieve old weaponry from the abandoned military base. Although it's old those old weapons still useful against zombies and mutant. This is the most dangerous place because zombie and mutant soldier occupying the base and still thinking they are human.
Second mission: after acquiring weapon is to sweep clear the zombies and mutant from town to town, from city to city. Your mission value is counted on how much you manage to kill zombies and mutant.
Third mission: defend the area that already free from zombie and mutant. This is the hardest mission because zombie and mutant will keep coming from other areas to eliminate you.
Beware, although the zombie and mutant lost their ability and sense for human beings, they still dangerous and can give damage to your battle armor. To support your body armor, the underground human society manages to smuggle some rejuvenate pod to repair and recharge your body armor in certain points of the city.
Beware, during the repair and recharge, your body armor will enter vulnerable condition which easies to become damaged and destroyed by the zombie and mutant attack. We recommended for the player to do mission in a pair, the other player can act as the guard when the other recharging and repairing. 
Zombie Hunter will release in two versions:
First, amateur level- beginner stage and normal stage
Second, professional level-hard stage and hell stage
The tester will test the hell stage level, the most difficult level in the game. The differences between each level in this game are how the player will be equipped for the first time entering the game.
Hell stage is the most difficult with only equipment given to the player is a titanium blade as a weapon. The rejuvenate pod also more scarce.
