Writing prompts from me to you. I personally cant write well, might aswell share ideas.

(These will only be explanations about myself and why everything will happen slower. Also why I chose this story. If you just want to read the story you can basically skip this) :)

I'm German and had English since 5th grade, so I'm fairly decent with the English language if I can say so myself. So apart from spelling, punctuation and maybe a grammar mistake here and there it should be readable.

Now something concerning the story. I'm a big Starcraft and Star Wars Fan so I would love to write Stories about those Universes, the only Problem being that they are so vast and complex that I don't want to write Stuff that's wrong and just ends up breaking the Story/Universe-Immersion.
That's why I chose Pokémon. Everybody knows and loves the Universe and there's not many Laws and Aspects you have to look out for. 

Worst Problem for the story will probably be that I'm a student and most of the time don't have much time on my hands. Moreover, I only played Pokemon Games in German, so I will have to google every single Pokemon Name and Attack - making my Time Problem only worse.
This will be my first story and the first one that I wrote since I was a small child so bear with me. :| 
All advice is welcome if you have any good Ideas plot-wise I have no problem implementing them. I have a general idea where I want to good with the story but nothing for the long term. :D

The Novel-cover is temporary until I find something better, draw something better myself or some kind of Cover-Miracle happens.

What I really wish to see at least once, Is an Self/OC insert story that plays out in a time frame of at least a few decades instead of just a few years. What I also find important is for the MC to not always win and maybe even experience huge amounts of loss regardless of preparation and personal power.

You've been learning English since the 5th grade and are better at your second language then I am. I am 19 and been learning French since Kindergarden and I only cant to 12 and I only know 3 words being Bonjour (Hello) Aurevior (Bye) and Niege (Snow) I have even had my cousin tutor me and I still cant get it for the life of me :(

I learned spanish since,... like 9th Grade until 11th grade and only know like 3 sentences. But that's not as long as 14 years so I would agree with you on that, unless he really really wasn't into learning french :D :D :D

Some things you never forget.

Some things change your life forever.

One of Sam's first memories was when she was 5; when she and her grandpa Lucius had just moved to Pari. It was her birthday; and instead of the usual hard bread, grandpa had prepared a few pieces of soft, fluffy wheat bread. It even had a smattering of raisins inside it!

She had chewed happily on her bread - the most delicious thing she had eaten in her life. Then she hugged her grandpa while he patted her on her head (she wasn't so strong then).

When grandpa asked her to make a birthday wish; she innocently wished for a mama and papa.

She felt really, really bad when grandpa's face fell and he started crying; looking at her with guilty, gentle eyes while standing by the kitchen table.

Dumb and silly as she was, she still knew when grandpa was sad. As she hugged grandpa's waist tightly; and he knelt down to hug her back; she wiped away his tears (roughly as a child would) and promised herself to never talk about mama and papa again to grandpa.

Then her 9th birthday. Just like the years before, they had special food together; and she sat by grandpa's side by the make-shift fireplace and listened to him tell stories of his adventuring days.

Only; this year he was quieter; and soon the two of them just sat by the crackling fireplace, enjoying the warm of the heart and each other's company.

Then, seeming to snap out of his thoughts, he smiled wistfully and stood up.

"Sam… I guess it's time to give you something." He waved for her to follow him up to the cramped wooden attic; built as a wooden mezzanine above his ramshackle study.

They climbed up the ladder to the claustrophobic space and the man began to move some of the stacked up boxes. After digging for awhile; he pulled out a dark black-brown wooden box; roughly the size of a book. He blew a puff of air at it, then wiped off the remaining dust.

Sam tip-toed, trying to see the box in the tall man's hands. On it was written the words "EPANASTASI"; with the motif of a Tree and a planet. Only; the picture was odd – the tree was not rooted on the planet – instead, the planet was like an egg floating above the tree.

"This… Was your mother's…" The grey-haired man was normally as hale as an ox; and as full of vitality as a bull. But looking at him today; he looked tired and frail.

Sam, as always, nodded silently. But this time she had a look of awe and wonder on her face. 

He carefully pulled out a locket that appeared like it were made of wood; one that somehow still had a metallic sheen to it. It was strung on a slim silvery necklace which looked quite dull. It was shaped like a leaf.

"Sam…" Lucius had on his face a smile that was not a smile; both happy, yet also sad and grieving. "I've never spoken about your mother, have I…?" He took in a deep breath, and then held it awhile before letting it out.

As he strung the necklace around her neck; he spoke. "Your mother… There's never been someone so kind, so lovely and so… Energetic!" He laughed, closing his eyes and savouring the thoughts.

"Even when she was little, she would constantly find new things, new ideas, new friends… She was always full of life. And so, so smart and adorable; just like her mother…" His gaze fell to the ground; turning aside as he walked through the bittersweet memories.

Then his face contorted into a scowl; but not one of anger – one of guilt and hurt.

"But I couldn't accept her choice of life… No matter how much she tried to convince me, I…" His fists clenched, then unclenched. Clenched again; so hard that his knuckles turned white.

"To this day, I regret… I regret so much; so so so much…" Sam felt like crying too; and wrapped her arms around her grandpa – causing him to flinch and quickly draw back; shocked.

He coughed in embarrassment (at his scared reaction), the shock of her imminent bear-hug enough to snap him out of his memories. Regaining his composure slightly; the old man sighed deeply.

"Sam… I… I don't know how, or why, or what happened…" His eyes turned to the moon; solitary and lonely in the sky above – like the man himself.

"When I found her years later…"

"…I found only a grave..." He stopped; pausing for a long while, wrestling with the turbulent emotions washing over his heart.

"There… There was a-a letter…" Then he smiled through his pain; ruffled Sam's hair and kissed her forehead.

"And…" He smiled in joy through the tears as he held the girl. "…And a 4-year old you."

Once more, the kind, old, broken man's tears welled up; as he held the young girl whose turn it was to shed tears.

That night, a 9-year old girl had cried herself to sleep; only able to think of one word as she drifted off to dreamland:

(Mama… Mama… Where; why did you go…)

[23 August - 4:29 AM - Somewhere in the Swiss Alps]

"Ma... Mama! No...!"

"Fear not, my ssssweetheart... Mistresssssss will... Care for you sssssssumptiously..."

Hearing those words; the crouching ogre-like girl felt something in her snap.

(Mama…)

No, she not only felt it – she *heard* something within her snap; and felt a surge of heat exploding in her head; rushing through her neck and flooding her veins; fortifying her mind, soul, spirit and heart.

As well as a bestial cold, cold blood-thirsty rage – something she'd never felt before.

She heard a whisper in her mind: "Dreamscape Emperor: Soul Conqueror…"

The enraged girl laid aside the sensations - then swiftly doffed her backpack to Albert who was lying down by her side, propped up on his elbows. Snowie was warmly and snugly tucked inside the bag.

Then she spoke tersely.

"Albert."

"Hmm?" He was shaken out of his thoughts; so focused was he on the battle in the distance.

"They're much stronger than us, right...?"

"Yes, completely and definitely so; so you should--"

For once, she acted and thought swiftly; cutting him off.

"Then... Please take care of Snowie."

If he could see her face, he would be horrified - her eyes had turned nearly red with fury; yet her face was ice-cold; jaw set in a woman's wrath - completely unlike her usual cheerful self.

Then she disappeared.

"Saaaaammmm!!!!!!! Nooo!!"

* * * * *

Sam landed; pivoted and charged up in a striking pose; Baguazhang's single palm change.

She mentally flinched as she met eyes with the despicable monster – Celica. She saw a mental image of thousands of phantom, red threads flow like blood from the vampire's eyes; latching on to her mind like bloody tentacles. The tentacles squirmed around; boring into her mind and seeking to take control.

Then the phantom, invisible tentacles convulsed as one – cringing and recoiling like they had touched fire.

Every tentacle that entered her mind had melted; eaten and absorbed into the girls' soul – and the corrosion continued upwards; devouring more and more of the tentacles.

All this takes a long time to describe; but happened in a blink of the eye.

Full-Burst.

Disruption.

Baguazhang style – Lion Stance - straight palm-strike. One of the products of her long, grueling hours of training with Sebastian to master her combat techniques.

"Goodbye."

Her palm flowed forward; appearing to move in slow-motion but in truth faster than the speed of sound.

The deceptively gentle-looking palm floated through the air; dissipating the purple strands of light that tried to obstruct. When her hand touched the level 15 princess' opaque layer of mana reinforcement; it cleaved through with the slightest tremors of vibrations rippling through the thick layer of defence.

Sam's palm landed on the vampire princess' chest; square on her sternum with a *thud* sound.

And the vampire princess' chest caved in; before erupting in a mist of blood and flesh.

Inch by inch she was torn apart by the mountain-like blow and monstrously violent back-and-forth vibrations "blending" her tender flesh and bones to a pulp[2]; the remnants of her corpse scattering to the winds.

"NO!!!!" A cacophony of 3 female voices cried out in unison; joined by 1 male voice, slightly further away.

* * * * *

Having vented her anger on the target of her bloodlust, Sam's eyes and mental state began to recover – but not before her adversaries took advantage of her berserk and defenceless state.

A flash of sword light – a 6-inch nail slicing across a neck – a line of blood drawn; shock in the valiant girl's eyes.

A green blur crossing the 15m distance in a bound; soaring through the air and crashing into the girl - aiming to knock her up into the sky; defenceless.

A great ball of fire so grey it seemed black; launched directly at the trajectory of the girl; to swallow her up and leave her as but ashes. A deathly grey-red ball of death; one sufficient to slay even a mighty winter dragons.

A sob from Misharga; a cry of fear and panic from Albert - the man still more than 2km away; preparing to trigger one of his 3 divine-level talismans.

And the sundered flesh, bone and blood fragments gathered; swirling in the air in a bloody vortex... Reforming… 

Regenerating into a heart; wrapped in layers of pulsating red and purple light - flashing like lightning and thunder, reflecting off the clouds.

Jiang Chen "There is an unofficial ranking of all kinds of demonic beasts based on their strongest state. This bird was ranked in top ten among them it is more powerful than many of dragon kind beasts and there are very few beasts that can compete with it in its aggressiveness it is called super aggressive bird. Even I am scared of it you can understand right I don't have a counter measure for it."
Jiang Feng "Then how are you going to control it?"
Jiang Chen "It already soul bonded with me I can only hope to tame it carefully. But I guess I can't use it as you guys can." Jiang Chen said patting the Savage Wolf in Jiang Feng's arms.
Jiang Feng "Then are you going to use a secondary beast ?"
Jiang Chen "None of them is compatible with me. " only one that can be suited he gave it Mo Qingcheng, he said disappointed .
Jiang Feng "Can't you just use one temporarily."

Ha Ling said as he jumped on the couch. Ha Ling almost visited every day to meet Jiang Chen and his brothers he even started attempting to use heavenly strands as a medium for absorbing heavenly energy . Ha Ling was more friendly and easy going than what others know in River Spring city he got along very well with Jiang Siblings.
Jiang Feng "Aren't you trying now?"
Ha Ling "What do you think me stupid. With your brother here no one can win against him."
Jiang Chen "Sky grade cultivation technique" she is second person Jiang Chen know that have sky grade cultivation technique first was his beautiful Mo Qingcheng.

Jiang Chen "Good choice but pity. I was going to play them." he smiled.

Jiang Chen "Ha ha." it was really funny the way Ha ling is telling that.

Ha Ling "There are total over 40 geniuses with High earth cultivation technique.Our city only produced 2 of them."
Ha Ling "Bai Mo's two cousins  Ning Mo and Ning Bo from River Qi city are both geniuses with High earth techniques and they hold Lightning attribute and water attribute each."
Ha Ling "There are three of my cousins in River Wood city too. They are all earth and wood specialists. Bie Fen ,Bie Men and Bie Yen"
Ha Ling "In River Moon city there are over 8 geniuses with High earth techniques and four of them belong to XUE family. Other four are from HAN family they are rivals in River Moon city now things are changing subtly. Xue Long , Xue Ming ,Xue Tan ,Xue Ning ,Han Ming ,Han Fen ,Han Yen and Han Chen. Xue family holds ice attribute experts along with earth and Wind experts .Han family are mainly fire attribute experts with few earth attribute fighters."
Jiang Chen "So you were hoping to use your water expertise to crush those fire attribute experts to gain a favor. Not a bad plan."
Ha Ling "There are couple more in River Qi city from Feng family and Yan family  Feng Shu and Yan Chen earth and wood attribute experts."
Ha Ling "Couple more in River Wood city too Jue Po and Nin Toe they are water attributed fighters."
Ha Ling "From River YIN city Yin Mo, Yin Chen and Yin Yang. Pure ice attribute experts."
Ha Ling "From River Mire city Bo Fen , Wu mo , Pen Mo , Pen Jun and Pen Bo triplets. Bo Fen is earth attribute specialist , Wu Mo is water attribute and triplets are wind attribute."
Ha Ling " River Coast city also have four geniuses with Earth attribute I don't know their names."
Ha Ling "South coast city has three more."
Ha Ling "Rivers city have over twelve earth attribute experts again eight belong to single family Xie family Xie Mo ,Xie Chen, Xie fen ,Xie Ning , Xie Roe ,Xie Ten ,Xie Nin and Xie Fei. Sai family holds four others Sai Jin, Sai Mo ,Sai Fen and Sai Ro.Both are wind and water attribute experts."
Jiang Chen "46 High earth technique cultivators ."
Ha Ling "Just in our age group there are still hundreds if we count three to four years above us."
Ha Ling there "Are over three hundred people with earth rank techniques and over four thousand in Mortal techniques."
Ha Ling "There are 9 thousand geniuses just born same year as us." (To be considered a genius they should possess A High Human Cultivation technique.)
Ha Ling "I guess we are born special age that is ten times the number produced in an year."
Ha Ling "There are only 500 geniuses born avg an year and 3-4 high earth cultivators."
Jiang Chen "You knew about this all along and yet you wanted to kill me."
Ha Ling "We were true fools to think that."
Ha Ling "But things changed much better after you came. Previously me and Bai Mo should be considered like in last ten among the 42 people but after you came we are confident we can be ranked in top twenty or possible ten."
Jiang Chen "You will do better than that, it will take two more months for us to reach River Moon city y then you would have overhauled your cultivation and your control would be far better you can even jump three to four ranks."
Ha Ling "But I still can't beat you."
Jiang Chen "Are there any duel attribute cultivators?"
Ha Ling "5 people including you one is from Yin family Yin Po ,Xie Yang, Sai Chen from Rivers city , Han Chen from River moon city. Yin Po is ice and wind expert , Xie Yang and Sai Chen are wind and water duel attribute experts."
Ha Ling "Jiang Chen try to guess last person .You have heard that name already."
Jiang Chen "It should be lady Xue WuXia if I am not wrong her second attribute should be Lightning."
Ha Ling "You really didn't know about her before?"
Jiang Chen "I guessed that she is duel attributed when you told her cultivation is third grade Martial Artist and made a wild guess on attribute. I was hoping it would match mine.
Ha Ling "You are truly sick."
Jiang Chen "Just smiled at it I have over 1000 people ahead of me then."
Ha Ling "You are ranked much higher than that. There was an unofficial ranking created by mercenary guild of Eastern Grand that rank you in top 50 .It specially separated you from other geniuses because you are too good in many things. They made a flower bracket for top ten and wrote your name beside them."
Ha Ling was laughing at this.  Ha Ling took out a booklet from his Jade Belt and showed it to Jiang Chen. Even Jiang Chen found it funny.
Jiang Chen "But I haven't done anything attracting to much attention outside right."
Ha Ling "Only you will think so. Defeating a 3rd stage Martial artist when you were 9th stage Martial Disciple , 9th rank Human grade alchemist  , 9th rank Weapon maker and genius who can understand combat techniques more deep than a Martial soldier. Add to that duel attribute cultivator. Your name is strictly in do not mess with category." 
Jiang Chen "Seriously I shouldn't have done all that. I should not grab any more attention." Jiang Chen spoke seriously.
Ha Ling was laughing rolling on the floor at this.
Jiang Chen then took the book let from Ha Ling and started reading the manual carefully every thing.
Jiang Chen "Feng'er give me a paper." Jiang Chen then started writing names on it one by one.

Ha Ling remembered everything Jiang Chen said he know Jiang Chen's calculations are more accurate and thorough.
Ha Ling  "Jiang Chen are we going to form any factions?"
Jiang Chen "Well a group would be good to have. I am sending all my brothers to Rivers City so I need few more trusted members. Only Lingrou is coming along with me."
Ha Ling "Jiang Chen there are only thousand entries this time for Myriad Rivers sect."
Jiang Chen "She will not have any problem entering the sect.? I am only worried about after matters."
Ha Ling "Why don't we change her to BingYue instead."
Jiang Chen "He is more important outside."

Just at the moment Cauldron started shaking.

"I go whenever I can and I always go by myself as it helps with getting exp as there is no one inside to steal of share with." said Navi

Once the stat check was over the teachers indicated the students to stay quiet.

Suddenly the door was opened, "Miss Principal the tests have been ranked." said the person who barged in

"Alright then tell me the test times and scores of the first 3. The rest can be handled later for right now those are the most appropriate." said Senna

"Alright, in 3rd Place was Misato Shigure with an 85% score in 2hrs. 2nd Place was taken by Aria with a time of 1hr 30min and a score of 88%. 1st Place was taken by Navi with a time of 30min and a score of 100%." said the man

"Did you check for any cheating that score seems unreasonable." said Senna

"I would have thought the same but once I saw the recordings from the cameras I confirmed that there was no foul play. Here the recording." said the man as he passed the recording to Senna 

The teachers urged Senna to play the recording so she played it whilst the people watching.

The recording showed Navi writing at an inhuman speed while answering the Knowledge test. 

"Unbelievable such speed at writing and no mistakes I'm really intrigued as to how she can do it." said a teacher 

"Well I don't see why were even doubting her with 1200 + intelligence of course she could read at speeds we couldn't comprehend." said a female teacher

"Alright stop the quibbling, Tomorrow we'll display the rankings and give out prizes and please prepare for classes. Ohh Shannon since your the teacher for the 1st years class S try to get along with Navi as she'll probably join some Incredible Sect in the upcoming Talent Festival." said Senna

The winner of my prompt was a book that is now on hiatus. No other entries qualified. At the time I didn't realize that having votes was the rank qualifier. So my book was instantly disqualified.
Despite not making it past the car park, so to speak, I kept this story going. I had moved it to Wattpad and continued to post chapters there.
I entered it into a Wattpad community award, and had eventually won the award for Historical Fiction, but never received the prize for it. 😆
That's okay. Knowing that my writing was enough to be a winner in a judge's eyes was cool. It won over some quality stories as well. That was a prize enough for me.
After some time, I started posting the story to Tapread where it picked up read interest there. Then I got a ping from Islinda who liked the lone chapter I had left on the book page.  
This story has been a blast to write. I'm proud of what I've been able to achieve with it. I have no regrets of what I leave behind, as I have given my best shot.

Hindi na nakapagsalita pa si Luo Feng sa kanyang narinig.

Taong 2056, sa loob ng isang siyudad na makikita sa Su Jin Area makikita ang isang teenager na nakasuot ng combat vest, pangsundalong pangibaba at battle boots na gawa sa alloy na nakaupo sa tuktok ng isang sira sirang six story residential apartment. Makikita sa kaniyang likuran ang isang hexagonal shield at ang kaniyang hawak hawak na blood-shadow battle knife. Tahimik siyang nakaupo sa dulo ng rooftop. Pero tanging katahimikan lamang ang maririnig sa sira sira at abandonadong siyudad na ito at kung minsan ay mayroong paisa isang pagalulong ang maririnig na magbibigay takot sa sinumang makarinig nito.

In actual fact, Jiu Shen had countless ways to help her resolve her issue. But he only stated that he had two ways in order to make him seem more believable.

For one to train in becoming an alchemist, they have to connect their spiritual nodes. But the process of doing so requires high willpower and pain tolerance since connecting spiritual nodes was very painful.

As for Jiu Shen being a 9th-rank Alchemy Saint, it was indeed true. In fact, he was not just an Alchemy Saint, but he didn't boast his alchemy skills too much. His attainments in alchemy can only be considered as superficial in the Primordial God Realm er... trash to be exact. But in Nuar, he was more than qualified to call himself an Alchemy Saint.

"I can concoct this pill, but I don't have the ingredients. Perhaps the Alchemy Hall had some of the ingredients in their storage..." Jiu Shen muttered after recalling the map that the system integrated into his brain. There was a branch of the Alchemy Hall in the Silver Wing Empire, and as a holy land for alchemists, they should have some of the ingredients needed for refining the Crimson Astral Blaze Pill.

She then took out a huge block of an icy blue glacier which froze the air around them making the room's temperature drop by several degrees. "Lord Jiu Shen, this is more than ten years worth of Frozen Cloud Glacier."

Jiu Shen calmly grabbed the block of Frozen Cloud Glacier before putting it inside his space earring. "Good. Do you mind if I stay here in your sect for the night? We can leave by tomorrow."

For the first time today, Lu Sulan smiled at Jiu Shen. "Of course, it's not a problem, Lord Jiu Shen. I will arrange everything for you, please follow me." 

Jiu Shen nodded his head expressionlessly.
