Oh, and yeah, I completely agree, combat-wise, EMIYA would slap the MC. But in a competition to see who could lift the most? The MC would win. That's literally all I'm trying to say lol.
I think I wasn't clear enough on what was gonna happen, and I apologize for that, but he's not gonna get a servant and join the war. He's literally just gonna protect his mom. That's the only reason for why he's training and getting ready for the war. Because if he isn't strong enough, even if he doesn't get involved with the war, it might have some adverse effects his only family member in this world aka his mom.
Are you even reading what I'm writing lol? I said "In a battle of pure physical prowess, the MC would trash him". I didn't mention anything about NP or abilities - which EMIYA relies very heavily upon. So you don't need to start bringing up feats like the Hercules one because he did that through his NP and abilities, not his physical prowess.
And explaining how he knows about the holy grail war and how bad this particular one can be because of Hercules, Artoria and Gilgamesh wouldn't be suspicious at all. For the most part, most of the Holy Grail Wars don't involve civilians unless someone like Kiritsuga decides to destroy the Grail and cause a massive disaster. Meaning the fact the event will happen in that city wouldn't be cause for them to leave for the week, just that they'd stay out of other Magus' business.
Because yeah, that'd be easy to explain. "Why do you want to go out of town, sweetie?" "Uh, well, you know, just wanna see the countryside!" ...Totally not at all suspicious, is it? Besides, what's the point in running from your problems when you know you can tackle them head-on? He's not even gonna take that much of an active part in the fight. Just gonna be protecting his mom.
That's not how the stats work at all lol. E through to A are the normal stats. '+' only gets added when they can TEMPORARILY double their power - which is either through a Noble Phantasm (such as their weapon or a specific move) or when a specific condition is met. So, the strongest a Servant can be is 'A' at a baseline. Which is 50 times peak human condition. If we say lifting 500kg is the peak of a human, then a Servant with an 'A' in Strength could lift 25000kg or 25 tonnes. It ain't my fault Fate doesn't follow it's own rules and has it's servants do wacky stuff waaaay beyond what their stats say.
Don't worry, mate, it hurts me just as much as it does you.
