Eh. Although I can afford it, $75 for the web novel is really too much...
Who should read and pay for this work? Only those who are in ABSOLUTE despair to read completed Yuri novel, despite its poor quality. 1) It is worth saying right away that the author has absolutely no respect for readers. She obviously does not know English, so she writes in her native language and then uses an online translator. This is not a problem in general, many people do it... But author did not even bother to correct the basic pronouns errors. This is not only disrespectful to readers, but also just stupid!!! Many who could potentially buy this just drop it halfway!!! 2) Our heroine, Leriane, is the most hated character in this story (I would even say on the whole webnovell). She's dumb, naive and useless (but everyone loves her). She's the kind of person who doesn't deserve a happy ending. There was a scene in the book when Leriane was being held hostage and the maids wanted to disfigure her face. My reaction: fair, maybe it will teach her something!!! 3) The story could have been more or less Ok if the author had adhered to the spirit of the first volume. Then it seemed that this was a typical Mary Sue story with dense MC and comedic undertone. But then the author decided that she wanted to write a serious story with all sorts of betrayals, hidden villains, visions of the future and so on... But you can't just WANT to write a masterpiece. That requires talent or a hard work... 4) Most of the story we have a one-sided romance. For most of the story, Leriane feels asexual-aromantic and only at the end she begin to be more proactive. If you are one of those who are satisfied with the fact that high-quality mutual yuri will only be at the end, then Ok. But I prefer that the main couple become an official at least in the middle of the story. If not, then there must be at least passion and tension between them. And I'm not talking about smut. But at least something. But alas. Dense asexual-aromantic, remember?
Hi, I'm not particularly familiar with your works, so I would like to clarify exactly what you meant. 1) Lianna is promiscuous in the initial part of the story, but then finds her true love and is faithful only to her. 2) Or is she promiscuous and adventurous from start to finish?
Why translate something at all if you do it so badly? This is nothing more than a slightly edited MTL, and although some may be satisfied with even such poor quality, I am not one of them. And even worse, the plot is pretty mediocre. I only read the first world, but it was only so-so. There were no unexpected moments, no turning points, not even a decent romance... Perhaps if there was a perfect translation, it would be possible to tolerate because there are practically no Yuri quick transmigration novels, but alas, with the current quality it does not deserve attention.
Gender bender... again... Just why??? Even if it's just a small detail and doesn't have a strong impact on the story, I won't be able to forget this and enjoy the story anymore. Alas, although there seems to be potential, but I have to drop...
This story is a merged plot between Overlord and Eminence in Shadow - I'm not sure how true this is, but what can be said with certainty is that the story definitely does not hook you from the first chapters as the above-mentioned works... Well, chapter 1 is more or less reminiscent of all the anime about the reincarnation of the hero and the demon lord, but Yuri style. It's okay. But then 10 chapters about nothing. Just random events and battles... Seriously, the fact that the author uses endless Povs of insignificant characters does not magically make the story an Overlord... well, whatever. And then I realized that it was genderbender. And although the author wrote something in the comments that because soul has changed, then in theory it can be considered Yuri... Well, the author can consider whatever they wants, but for me MC will always be remembered as a formerly guy. Summing all that up, I, unfortunately, have to drop this...
Apparently, it is not my destiny to read the works of this author. I'm already trying theirs fourth book, and every time I drop... Worst of all, I have nothing to say in general that will justifie 2 or 3 star rating. The books are generally quite high-quality (except for Moonlight Demon, everything is really bad there), but they just fail to interest me.
That can work too in a way. Then I'll rephrase the question just to be sure - does MC have Straight romance in her life, no matter how small it is.
Yuri's theme is more of a secondary in this book. I'll try to make the flow natural. Sisterhood is more prevalent in the plot. ----- Hi. Has anything changed about this?
I have read 30 chapters. I really wanted to love this work, but I just couldn't... Usually when I write bad reviews, I devote most of them to logical holes and other irrationalities of the author... but in the case of this work, there are other problems (some of them are very subjective and may even be a plus for someone). 1) Unhealthy relationships. It feels like absolutely any relationship in the work has a different degree of unhealthiness (whether it's parents and children, lovers or a master-servant)... Well, partly this can be said about real life, but still, here it is brought to the extreme. 2) Abuse and torture stuff. I have nothing against that when the story requires it, but it seemed that the author just wondered if they could write it, and went on a writing spree and gave out several dark chapters in a row. When such heavy topics are thrown in huge quantities without any purpose, it just becomes boring and tasteless! 3) Creative magic. Well... the author tried. But didn't succeed. Well, perhaps in future chapters the author will make that mess recognizeble, but right now it feels like a lot of random cool concepts without any clay between. 4) Well, the author mentions this quite early, but there will be a rapidly developing romance with SM inclinations and much more unhealthy moments. Keep in mind. 5) The overall pace. The work is very inconsistent and the author feels the lack of writing style. We jump all the time from chapters full of inner monologues to full action. One second we get the thoughts of one character, the next line we switch our attention to the second. Slice of life abruptly turns to magic expositions, and than to romance. And so in everything. Sometimes I just get lost. I want to pay attention to one topic, but the author has already moved on to something else. In general, I can consider this novell as a bad copy of typical Korean romantic novels. P.S. A particularly subjective point, but in one chapter where the heroine talked about how her magic would be working with tattoos, there was the phrase "it was fair for her to worry that her partner might not like her future aesthetic." And although her partner obviously didn't mind, the same can't be said for me... And as for her partner herself, she's tall , toned, with abs and muscles... It is seriously annoying that every second author uses such type in yuri novels.
