Ahhhh ok, I see more where you’re coming from now. With that being said, a lot of the x men’s technological minds aren’t present as we’ve seen. Cypher is barely a teen. The main one being SPOILER (forge) and beast is more biologically and chemically sound than anything else. I say all this to say, them being ambushed from miles away from the school isn’t that much of a stretch.

Before he could through his spear, a blur flew across his vision and smashed into the floor near the Goblins, followed by a glacial wave of ice that ripped and broke apart the left half of the Goblins in an incredibly violent manner. Aria was by the water fountain, her fingers touching what seemed to be an old library book.
