One could say the same for any martial art if they don’t know anything about it or about fighting at all only a fool would look down on a former top martial art of Brazil before jiu Jitsu took its place because of its lack of grappling capabilities not because it lacked effectiveness just like any other martial art it depends on the user and timing of the attacks and to know when and what move to use in the right moments during a fight could mean the difference of life and death or wining and losing so please don’t speak out of ignorance but ask questions instead of putting things down from things you hear not to say there aren’t any useless martial arts and there usually ones that aren’t old or worldly renowned aren’t effective whatsoever unless you do lots of sparing to counter act the inefficient and ridiculous movements into something effective as an actual practicioner of Capoeira it works actually I’ve been in a few national martial arts tournaments and have gotten 1st to 3rd on different occasions and I can admit that they were just better when I came in 2nd or 3rd I just had to train harder I’ve only ever been a grand champion once and never again unfortunately
