First off my opinions, this story is pure MTL translation. The story development and character design are inconsistent and below average. The world background is in the USA unknown what year. Li Ang died of corporate life in China. He gets a new lease of life in the US. Forget about Leon none of that matters, he doesn't exist (MTL mistranslation with zero editing). Names in the novel is inconsistent, in one part some dude called him Li Ang but the MC corrected him saying his name is Li Ang. The author loves to chide on the US despite writing a story about the US. If you are expecting realism, don't. But enough of me. To the stats. This story was probably on trial read 3-4 years ago, probably due to the generic copy and paste like many of the novels out there of the same type, it didn't receive what Webnovel believed to be "popular" thus it got dropped and now brought back with a rebranding of Ai art or stolen art and sub-par MTL translation either by Webnovel themselves or a no integrity translation group that knows neither English or Chinese, and their source material comes from a pirated site. Read this as a 24 hour free book. It is pretty decent to read considering the MTL they used. There is a clear difference between the truly free chapters and the locked chapters. Somehow those free are better than the locked one. The characters in the story are pretty decent and the world is just one world, not some dude going to one place then another bigger place and the old place gets forgotten.

Pretty good read for an MTL with some inconsistent wording. Since it was short and I had the monthly pass, I was able to read this free and read it within 24 hours.

Personally, the free chapters just doesn't hit it with me. So this won't be going on my Qidian list of reads.

in Chinese it is set 京城, which roughly if translated correctly is capital city. but since majority if not 99.99% of all Webnovel books (Chinese books) since quite some time has become MTL. Now we don't even know if it is actually a group/individual doing MTL or Webnovel just doing MTL themselves, since they no longer bothering putting a review saying they are translating and they don't respond to comments. Every chapter is literally MTL and paste. and also why chapters come out 3 times a day at the exact time point.
