Fireball

A few seconds later the canine beast spit out a fireball. It was the size of a grown man's head. It blazed as it tore through the air blasting more than five zombies. Sensing this through his mental link Aurav commanded his zombies to disperse. He wanted them to be as far away from each other. If the fire spread from one zombie to another soon enough it would incinerate each and everyone of them.

As for the Zombies on fire he commanded them to roll back and forth on the ground.

The Zombies swiftly distanced themselves from one another but they still surrounded the dog in a circle.

If the flaming dog tried to break through now he would have a decent chance of escape but it was exhausted. It's previous grandeur nowhere to be seen. Its fur didn't have the fiery red colour anymore instead replaced with a gray ash-like colour. Its crimson pupils were gray and dull. It dropped its head down in defeat and dropped on the ground. Its legs were shaking and blood was oozing out of its wounds.

<You've Killed A Rank 0 Beast>

<You've Been Awarded With 500 Credits>

<You've Also Been Awarded With A Lottery Ticket For Accomplishing A Minor Achievement>

As Aurav was wondering what to do with his rewards fine strings pierced through the dogs body rapidly absorbing blood. Aurav was stunned to say the least.

Could it be!?

Was she alive!?

Aurav stood up excitedly as he ran towards her body. Most of his wounds were reduced down to scars except the wounds which had pierced too deeply into his flesh and the missing chunks of flesh.

However,he was deeply disappointed. Saira's body wasn't moving at all instead,it seemed to be an instinctive action of the Maid Costume.

He gritted his teeth as he looked at her body. He commanded all of his subordinates to rush towards the dog unconcerned of the casualties.

The zombies rushed towards the dog in a bestial frenzy,tearing off chunks of its flesh,drinking its blood.

Despite the massive size of the canine beast it wasn't enough to satisfy two hundred plus zombies.

The zombies would have already started to attack one another if it wasn't for the boy suppressing them.

As the Zombies were consuming its body a former four year old girl was consuming the flesh near its torso. As she teared off the flesh near its ribs she reached the heart.

There was a tiny red crystal the size of a fingernail. She growled with excitement as she saw it. A few Zombies nearby were visibly excited as well.It held a great attraction for them.

A few other Zombies extended their hands as well but the little Zombie pulled it out and swallowed it in a flash while the other Zombies hands were hanging in mid-air. The other Zombies growled as they were dissatisfied.

The little Zombie resumed eating but a few minutes later it started to feel pain throughout its entire body. It feeled like hundreds of thousands of needles were piercing into its body.

It started to tremble,clutching its heart and convulsing violently on the ground as it growled.

As the girl was subjected to the peculiar phenomenon Aurav received a few notification from the Game Eye but he didn't pay attention to them as he was blankly staring at Saira's corpse. His left fist was faintly trembling.His emotions were in a mess.

He recalled standing over his mother's grave. He stared blankly at the giant granite tombstone.The summer breeze was faintly blowing.He stood over her grave dressed completely in black and muttered:

'That Bastard.'

Saira's death had dealt a huge blow to Aurav. Her death made him realize the fact that he was much too weak. In front of a Rank 0 beast he had almost died. If it wasn't for his subordinates he wouldn't have survived.

An even bigger problem was the fact that the dog was Rank 0. There were 9 ranks for beasts and he wasn't even able to deal with the weakest one. He had obtained this information from the Game Eye.

The world was progressing rapidly if he wanted to survive he needed to keep up with it.

He sighed as he picked up Saira's head and put it beside her corpse. He wasn't going to bury her or anything.

Why would he do that when he had the Game Eye and its mysterious Shop?

While he was browsing through the Shop he had seen many mystical,strange and outright impossible items.

As Aurav turned his attention towards the Game Eye his eyes widened as he looked at the notification.

<Four Subordinates Have Started To Evolve>

<Would Like To Stop The Process?>

<Yes or No>

He had no idea Zombies could evolve. If they were able to evolve then that meant that they might even be able to recover their intelligence not to mention that they would get stronger as well. Perhaps,they might even gain mystical abilities like that dog but would he still be able to command them???
