Chapter 4 Zi's Power (1)

Zi Xin's eyes suddenly lit up with realization—Qin Shang indeed couldn't rest easy allowing Yin Zhu to set off alone. Without waiting for Yin Zhu to speak, he preempted, "I think there's no need for that. With both Yin Zhu and I together, it should be enough. Let's go." This time, it was his turn to pull Yin Zhu along as he left the Mage's Guild without looking back.

Diara wanted to stop them but hesitated when he saw a flash of cold light in Zi's eyes, and the words on the tip of his tongue were subconsciously withdrawn. Turning back to look at the six standing corpses, he lamented, "What should I do? What am I supposed to do? The envoys from Bo Pang have died on my watch..."

Piero walked up to Diara, speaking softly, "Vice President, there probably weren't any witnesses to their arrival here, were there? And even if there were, we can just deny it! It would be best if you quickly dealt with this, then report to the President, and let him decide."

Diara hesitated, "You mean, destroy the evidence."

Piero looked at the corpses of Ruffit and the others with disgust and said bitterly, "They deserved to die a long time ago. But I really didn't expect the President's disciple to be this powerful. He seems to have just the strength of a Red-rank! It's unimaginable."

Having practiced magic for many years, Diara gradually calmed down, "Alright, don't let word of today's events get out, especially regarding the child just now. Forget everything you've seen, and for now, let's take care of them. Make it clean."

A cold light flashed in Piero's eyes, "Destroying evidence is something we Fire Mages excel at."

Yin Zhu was naturally unaware of the huge trouble she had brought upon the Mage's Guild. Walking on the streets of Luna City, she turned to Zi and asked, "Zi, I killed someone just now. Was what I did... right?"

Zi looked at Yin Zhu with a gentle gaze and nodded earnestly, "Of course, it was right. When facing enemies, you must eradicate them root and stem; otherwise, they will only bring you more trouble. Destruction is the best method to deal with enemies. You did very well today."

Yin Zhu was like a blank slate, and upon hearing Zi's praise, the bit of doubt in her heart immediately vanished. She smiled and said, "Then that's good. From now on, I will kill them when I encounter enemies. But, Zi, since Grandpa Qin said to have the Mage's Guild find someone to teach me the common knowledge of the continent, isn't it bad that we just left?"

Zi stopped in her tracks and said seriously, "Yin Zhu, do you trust me?"

Without any hesitation, Yin Zhu nodded, "Of course, you are my best friend."

Zi smiled, "Since that's the case, let me be the one to teach you everything about the continent. Let's go buy some things first, and then we shall set off."

Seeing Zi's smile, Yin Zhu felt a warmth in her heart and, without thinking further, followed him. Little could Qin Shang and Ye Li have imagined that Yin Zhu would embark on a journey to Milan with someone teaching her to kill, rather than following the arrangement they had made.

Zi led Yin Zhu to the front of a shop on the street and stopped, "Yin Zhu, do you have any money on you?"

Yin Zhu nodded, and with a flash of silver light in her hand, a Gold Coin appeared, "Grandpa gave it to me. I think there are a few hundred Gold Coins like this. Do you need it?"

Zi nodded, took the Gold Coins from Yin Zhu's hand, and then led her into the shop.

Clanging sounds echoed continuously from inside the shop. A middle-aged man sat inside, looking rather indolent, but stood up when he saw Zi and Yin Zhu enter, "What do you need?"

Yin Zhu curiously looked around, only to see walls adorned with various weapons and armor that he had never seen before, which prompted him to ask Zi, "Zi, what are these?"

Zi replied, "These are the armors and weapons used by warriors."

Yin Zhu asked, "Are we going to buy some? They look pretty good, do you want any?"

Zi nodded and said to the middle-aged man, "Give me a two-handed sword."

The middle-aged man lazily said, "There are many types of two-handed swords, what kind do you want? You've chosen the right place. The weapons produced here are famous throughout Acadia."

Zi, somewhat impatient, said, "Cut the chatter, any kind will do—as long as it's heavy. The heavier, the better."

Zi's blunt words annoyed the middle-aged man, but seeing Zi's robust build, he didn't dare say much and thought to himself, you want something heavy? Fine, I'll give you heavy.

"Then come with me," he said, turning and walking towards the back room.

Yin Zhu and Zi followed him, only to see several muscular men sweating profusely as they forged weapons. It was already hot enough in Acadia, but it was even hotter near the furnace. Nonetheless, Yin Zhu and Zi didn't feel much of the heat as they followed the middle-aged man, who kept wiping his sweat, all the way to the back.

The middle-aged man pointed to a corner and said, "That's the heaviest two-handed sword there. If you can lift it, it's yours." As he spoke, a sly glint appeared on his face.

In the corner was a pitch-black object that, honestly speaking, hardly qualified as a sword and more resembled an iron rod. It was about two meters long, with one end being thicker while the other end was much thinner. But even the thinner end was as thick as an adult's arm, and the thicker end was the size of a human head, covered in dust.

"Is this what you call a sword?" Yin Zhu asked, somewhat angrily. Although it was his first time leaving the blue sky and sea, he was well aware of what a sword should look like.

The middle-aged man retorted, "This is a special sword. Didn't you want a heavy sword? This is the heaviest I have. If you can lift it, I'll give it to you for free." As he spoke, the mockery in his eyes became more pronounced.

Zi's gaze remained calm, but Yin Zhu could subtly feel that Zi was not in a good mood. Zi stepped forward and grasped the thinner end of the iron rod. When he just exerted some force, he couldn't help but let out a light "huh" of surprise, his eyes revealing a flash of astonishment. A smile appeared at the corner of his mouth as he then lifted the nearly two-meter-long iron rod. "Not bad."

The middle-aged man watched Zi easily lift the iron rod, his eyes nearly popping out of his skull. No one knew better than him how terrifyingly heavy that rod was. He had acquired it by chance while leading his men in the iron mines. Its weight was known to be dozens of times that of ordinary iron ore, at least over five hundred kilograms. If he hadn't been greedy thinking it might be some special metal, he might not have even bothered to bring it back. But his disappointment came later when no matter how intense the fire or even after hiring a fire mage at a high cost, he could not melt and recast the iron rod. Over time, it was thrown in the forging room, and he couldn't believe that someone could lift this iron rod effortlessly without using Douqi, and that person seemed so young.

"Let's go," Zi simply said, taking Yin Zhu and starting to walk out.

"Wait, wait a minute," the middle-aged man called out from behind them.

Zi frowned slightly and asked, "Are you thinking of going back on your word?"
