Hopefilled Dream: Mina

"Who turned on the light? Wait... Sun... baby, can you cover my face?"

Mina's heart began to pound as she rolled over, her legs rubbing against a second set. When her eyes fell on the sleepy face of Kat, she sniffled softly as her tears began to fall. In an instant, Kat was wide awake and holding Mina.

"Mina! What's wrong? Look at me..."

Mina hugged Kat tight, her strength barely able to make Kat wince.

"A nightmare, huh? Let it out. I'm right here."

Mina felt Kat's hands on her back, rubbing slowly. One last sniffle and she sat back. Her eyes had turned a little red, clashing with the silver. She wiped her eyes, then leaned up to try and kiss Kat.

"You're so needy! Come here."

Mina felt Kat's body warming hers as their lips met. Her fingers dug into the cloth of the loose shirt Kat was wearing, her lips curving into a small smile as they enjoyed each other's lips. Suddenly, from outside the door, a voice came into the room.

"Are you girls decent? I made you some breakfast!"

Mina was startled out of the kiss, not by the voice but by the person it came from. She looked at Kat with wide eyes.

"You look like you're seriously shocked. We came here for the very reason of you introducing your mom and me. I got the tingles when you asked if it was okay!"

Mina blushed a little, putting her feet on the floor. When she looked at her body, she felt the intense heat of embarrassment rush to her face. She was only wearing panties and a t-shirt. When she looked back, she felt heat flare up somewhere else as Kat got up. Her body was a sexy caramel tan, with a seductive bikini tan line. Mina bit her lip, quickly turning away when she noticed Kat's smirk.

"We have been together for six months... quite ogling. You're allowed to touch!"

Before she could react, Kat had gotten in front of her, raised her hands and placed them onto her breasts. Mina looked away, her fingers sinking into Kat's skin.

"K-Kat... my mom..."

At this point, even Kat turned a little red, teasing her hair with her fingers. Her mischievous smile came back when she realized Mina hadn't moved her hands.

"What? I got permission..."

Mina pouted, pulling her hands away. With a resigned sigh, she got to her feet and the two girls got dressed. Before they left, Mina asked a quick question.

"Can you remind me, what happened to Ryder?"

"Who?"

"Oh uh... nevermind."

Mina quickly went to the door, but before she opened it her other hand went out towards Kat. She took it with a happy smile, squeezing Mina's slightly.

"I love you, baby."

"Love you too, Kat. Now hush... my mom doesn't need you to be a dork."

Mina opened the door, greeted by the hallway of the house she grew up in. When she looked back, she realized the room was her old one. The only difference was a new bed, big enough for the two girls. She smiled to herself, leaning up to kiss Kat once more before tugging her down the stairs and towards the smell of food.

"Your mom is scary. This food... I swear it's been blessed. The smell is insane."

Mina let go of Kat's hand, quickly hugging her mom tightly. Her mom was about her height with the same black eyes and dark hair from Mina's previous life. The biggest difference, their facial expressions. Mina's mother was brighter, almost illuminating.

"Hey mom! I should have come visit sooner."

Mina was pushed back a little, her mom eyeing her up and down.

"At least you've been eating. I'll blame Kat for the extra weight you've gained, finally."

She flashed a happy smile towards Kat, who had grown a little bashful.

"That is probably the most adorable thing... Kat, you've spoken to her before."

"Yea! Online and for like... twenty minutes last night! I'm still antsy!"

Mina and her mom laughed heartily, the two of them covering their mouths almost identically.

"Well... least I can see where you get the bright side of your personality from. You're almost twins."

Mina realized her hair wasn't silver anymore, instantly guessing that her eyes were black again.

"As long as you take care of her, you'll always be welcome here. Now Kat, what exactly do you do for a living?"

Mina took a step back from the conversation, eating as she watched her mom and her girlfriend talking. Her heart felt full and happy.

'Why couldn't this be reality?'

A lone tear fell from her cheek, hitting the floor and breaking the dream. When her eyes opened again, Mina sat up quickly. In her haste, her face was directly in front of Kat's.

"You're awake!"

Kat hugged her tight, her tears hitting Mina's shoulder.

"Kat... I think my mom would have loved you."

"What? You silly... I'd have loved to meet her, but the past can't be changed. I'm just glad you woke up! I was terrified when Hysteria took control."

Mina nodded.

"Hysteria was too. She doesn't want control, just life."

Mina was finally able to get to her feet, everyone else already awake. They had worried looks in their eyes, though Mina's smile calmed them all instantly.

"So who killed her?"

She was eyeing the beheaded succubus.

"Hysteria."

A soft voice came from nearby, the owner making Mina inhaled deeply.

"That cute little bat became... jeez. Kat, I think she can compete with you on sex appeal!"

Chisana blushed, waving her hands frantically.

"I-I would never get between you two!"

A number of agreeing nods and Kat began to laugh.

"I'm not gonna keep her all to myself. There will be times I'm not nearby, so I was hoping..."

Mina blushed now.

"I'm can't believe my girlfriend says I can have a harem of beautiful girls."

She rubbed her eyes before looking at Kat.

"Don't blame me for being so chill with it! I want you happy, and they can help. I do have to go though, so I'll see you when I can. I'm worn out teleporting to you."

Mina caught Kat in a kiss just before she vanished, Kat's face lighting up as she did.

"Well... this was fun. No extra rewards since this place was filled with weird enemies, but ya know."

Melody brought Mina back to reality, though all she did was smile.

"Let's get back to the surface for now. We need to make a plan of what to do next."

Chisana and Suriza both began to get awkward.

"About the surface..."
