"Anyway, about the vassals. I know you would be furious about me intervening but I just wanted to end it with them as smoothly as possible." he gently said as if being careful with how he would tell it to me.

"Setting an example with them as the main perpetrators would make the people realize that rules shouldn't be taken lightly as even the vassals were punished."

I sighed as I absorbed his grounds for doing so.

"But you even cut off their tongues. Being a violent tyrannical would only harbor resentment from the people." I said as I pointed out his violence.

"Being remembered as a violent dictator is much better than being a coward and not being able to protect my Duchess."

What he said made me remembered the coward and weak Vannister in Emily's past life. The past Vannister can't even bring up the laws in his hands and only ended up being a puppet to those bastardous vassals and that bitch.
