017 Being Kept in Mind

Jack, however, was surprised to unexpectedly encounter Annie again in this place. Since the day before yesterday, after he probed Alexander a bit with Andrew and realized Alexander's formidable strength, he had kept his composure and didn't disrespectfully scheme against Annie. Today, he joined the mountain climbing activity organized by the club out of boredom. Unexpectedly, fate had it that he would encounter her once more.

Indeed, fate works in mysterious ways, doesn't it?!

Jack, with a playful smirk in his heart, approached and greeted Alexander with a smile. Meanwhile, the corner of his eye discreetly glanced at Annie. He noticed her blushing face, slender eyes filled with a misty gleam, exuding a subtle sensual aura. His heart raced as he involuntarily stole another glance at her. Seeing her close proximity to Alexander and the enchanting posture amidst the stream, his abdomen tightened.

Having experienced the ways of romance, how could Jack not sense the subtle ambiguity between these two? How could he not feel that his arrival disrupted something?!

Indeed, this seemingly delicate and tender beauty harbored both lasciviousness and wildness within. Engaging in such activities amidst these mountains was undoubtedly the pinnacle of pleasure.

Thinking this, Jack's stomach tightened. He vowed that as soon as Alexander discarded Annie, he would promptly have her, play with her ruthlessly, and quench this pent-up desire. This woman was simply bewitching. Because of her, he had almost turned ascetic these past few days, restraining himself from indulging, resorting to manual relief. He, the esteemed scion of the Five Group, had never stooped so low, had he?!

"Jack, who's that?" Several people, around seven or eight, who were with Jack, caught up, curiously eyeing the still imposing Alexander. Most, however, were astonishingly sizing up Annie, all coincidentally struck with the same thought: Could this be a fairy appearing from the woods? She was so beautiful, almost unearthly!

Under the scrutiny of so many pairs of eyes and coupled with the embarrassing incident earlier, Annie felt extremely uneasy. She thought her secret had been discovered, causing her face to blush intensely, tucking her head into Alexander's shoulder, tears welling up in her eyes, slightly wetting Alexander's clothing.

Alexander pursed his lips, extending a large palm, effortlessly shielding Annie's face, blocking the prying eyes of outsiders. His sharp gaze swept over everyone like a sword, causing them all to feel awkward and retract their impudent gazes.

Finally, Alexander fixed his gaze on Jack, displaying evident aloofness and displeasure in his eyes.

Jack awkwardly smiled. "Didn't expect to see you here, so I came over to say hello."

Pointing to the group behind him, he continued, "They're from the same club as me, all from New London..."

However, Alexander rudely interrupted him. "I don't want to be disturbed right now!"

Jack was momentarily stunned, feeling somewhat angry. He thought Alexander was too arrogant and disrespectful! But on the surface, he couldn't afford to offend Alexander. Hence, he could only pretend to be nonchalant and smile. "Alright, then, I'll leave first!"

With a shout, he led the group, continuing their ascent up the mountain. The others, having seen a lot in life, realized that despite Alexander's impoliteness, Jack remained exceedingly respectful. They understood that Alexander must have an extraordinary background and didn't dare to stay longer, following Jack as he walked away.

After walking a distance, they began to curiously inquire. "Jack, who was that?! He seemed really proud!"

Jack smiled. "He's Alexander, the big investor in our New London!"

"Oh?! He's Alexander! He's so young!"

Being so young and already a CEO, with such a colossal wealth, it was indeed both shocking and enviable!

"Who's the girl in his arms?"

Jack smiled but remained silent. Apparently, he knew that some of the young people in this group also had ulterior motives. He didn't want to complicate things further by giving them more competition for the woman he hadn't yet obtained.
