Belle's Mission

"Are you sure about this?" Nathaniel asked Maya as he brushed a stray strand of hair over her ear, the heat of his fingers against her skin making her blush like a teenager.

For some reason his small actions made her heart flutter.

She appreciated those small gentle movements, he had no idea how much they affected her, but maybe he did as he leaned forward and kissed her on the lips.

"I want Belle to know that I support her, I don't want her keeping things from me," Maya confessed.

Nathaniel chuckled and shook his head. "I thought you didn't approve of her joining the Mafia."

"I don't fully support it," Maya grimaced. "But I know my sister, stopping her would only make her more determined, and a determined Belle is dangerous."

Nathaniel laughed and shook his head. "You truly are sisters."
