Chapter 7:Meeting Enzo

 Serene.～～～

 Looking up I am met with a face I never expect to meet my lips open and close as surprise cannot express how I feel.

 "Mia Cara"He breaths out calling my name just how he used to,he was the only one who called me by my middle name cara.he caressed my name like life itself when it rolled off the tip of his tongue.

 "Lorenzo"I say astonished and walk towards him.

 I am suddenly embraced tightly by him and I realise its been long,three years.

 "Long time"I say while wrapping my hands around him and it truly has been a long time,the last we saw each other was three years ago at his birthday.

 "You have changed mia cara,more prettier" He says while leaning slightly from the embrace to look at me properly. A small laugh escapes me at his words.

 "Always the playboy huh,you have changed yourself enzo"I say calling him by his nickname and also when I say he has changed he really has,he is taller, more muscular,looks a hundred times more handsome than he was and let me tell you Lorenzo di angelo has always been drop dead gorgeous.

 "I have"He says agreeing to my words in his voice that has turned deeper,overall he looked more handsome.

 "Do you have a date,or you are here to eat"He asks while wrapping his arms around my waist pulling my frame closer to his.

 "Nah I was here for a meeting and am about to leave"I answer him inhaling the scent of his spicy cologne.

 "Hmm why don't we spend the evening together cara"He asks and I nod while we hold hands and walk towards the private room close by.

 we were allowed access in as enzo owns the restaurant and sitting down on the soft comfortable plush couch he sits beside me.

 "How have you been"He asks while starring at me with those beautiful grey eyes of his that I love.

 "Fine,enzo what about you"I ask while smiling slightly at him.

 We talked for sometime simply telling ourselves about what happened in the past three years.

 "You left me cara"He says in a heavy voice and the atmosphere in the room suddenly turns tense and serious.I looked at his beautiful grey eyes my blue orbs boring into his,his eyes filled with what I seemed to have left pain.It seemed it was all I ever gave to those who ever loved me,like her.

 "I had to Enzo"I tell him while placing my hands on his in silent comfort,I was not good at comforting people and have lost that part of me three years ago.

 "Why"He asks not knowing that one word brought so many memories into my head and my heart beat slows down.

"Not now enzo"I tell him and he nods his head and pullse into a hug resting his head on my shoulder.

 I am and will always be that monster he doesn't know about.for the past three years I have tried erasing it but it still clings onto me like glue.

 "So how is ma,pa and the rest doing"I ask about his parents and sibling smiling at the thought of his mom and dad who loved me like theirs and also his brothers and sweet sister.

 "They are fine cara and they miss you,plus Angela and the two monkeys"he says and at the word two monkeys I know he is referring to his brothers.

 Giovanni and Mariano have always been those two troublesoe kids while Gio was the more serious one.

 I truly did miss them all as they were family but I left,I left my family and everybody else for three years after her death.

 we talked about his siblings and parents and I am suddenly reminded by a very funny scene.

 FLASHBACK～～～

My phone rings non stop and at the constant ringing I know it is enzo annoyed I huff and answer the call.

"What"I huff annoyed and about to end the call.

 "Mia cara,baby please listen to me don't be mad" He says with a plaeding tone.

 "I am not mad enzo but furious at you asshole" I tell him and all the surpressed anger starts rushing back.

 "Please baby let's talk on video call"He pleads and I look at the phone screen accepting the video call.

 "You have 30 seconds to explain"I tell him while dropping the phone on the table in front of me and folding my hands across my chest.

 I watch how his eyes trail to my breast while he licks his lips.

 "Enzo"I call out annoyed and he snaps back while his face turns serious again.

 "I-I"He starmmers out.

"20 seconds"I tell him and his eyes widen and he soon turns serious again.

 "Look baby it was an emergency and I had to go so I did not have time to inform you of my meeting outside New york,please baby don't be angry"He says in one breath and breaths out when he finishes starring at me with those puppy dog eyes and cute pout.

 "Explain about the scar"I ask him referring to the scar on his forehead.

 I was furious at him for risking his life,Life in the mafia isn't roses and sweets but he still would have asked for my help.

 "I-I was slightly distracted"He says and holds his two ears while his pout becomes more prominent.

 Rolling my eyes I was about to reprimand him but Gio suddenly appears at the back and I wave at him,confused lorenzo looks back and sees gio grinning.

 Winking at gio who suddenly winks back enzo looks at us confused.

 "MOM,ENZO MADE YOUR DAUGHTER IN LAW ANGRY" Gio yells and runs away while enzo curses and tries to get up but his mom appears and starts hitting him.

 "Hello ma"I say and she finally looks at me,I laugh at enzo's expression.

 "Serene dear,I heard what this stupid son of mine did"she says with that warm voice of hers.

 "Yes mama,enzo made me angry"And with that she turns and hit his head.

''Don't mind this idiot serene you can still get married to one of my sons''she says and continues

"Sorry dear,I have two other sons"She says and enzo growls out at his mothers words while I burst out laughing.

 END OF FLASHBACK

PRESENT DAY

Smiling softly at the memory I stand up with the help of enzo who insists on walking me out.Outside I hug him and place a kiss on his cheeks and turn around to enter my car.

 "Cara"He says while holding my wrist halting me.

 Turning around I meet his intense dark eyes that seemed to be swimming in reluctance.

 "I'll call you"He says and I nod and remove my hands from his

 entering my car I wave at him and tell pa Andrews to drive to my house.
