A Lazy Prodigy

"Finally, it's complete!"

Tony marveled at his creation with a proud sense of accomplishment.

The armor, now dubbed the Mark II, resembled the original, but was less heavy. The armor was also much more refined, tuned into his body measures and made to resemble plate armor.

It wasn't anything special, just a refitting of his original suit with more advanced tech, but that was all Tony needed.

Over the past few weeks, Tony had been stopping crime after crime, and the name of the Iron Man was on the rise. It helped that their were many people who disliked Batman that supported the ascension of this new cape. The effect was also boosted many times, as unlike the other cities, the only hero that Gotham has is Batman, not including Robin of course. That meant that Tony was the only other superhero that the newspapers could focus on.

Of course, it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. With his new found popularity, his job became much harder. Criminals immediately try to run when they notice who he was, and unlike the Batman, he couldn't exactly hide himself. Not to mention that his repeated missions made him realize the defects on his armor.

For example, buildings were basically his weakness. The smart criminals led him into the buildings, before escaping after giving him the runaround. He couldn't fly because of the ceiling, and his armor was pretty slow, so he could only let them run. The stealth and flight systems also needed work.

The boosted stealth and flight capabilities was something he needed desperately, as he couldn't keep running from abandoned locations to his house. If his landing points and nightly incursion were discovered, anyone with a decent brain could connect the dots and find out his identity.

Now, he could just fly to his home, the new tech hiding his landing and the refurnished armor being much more easier to remove.

After being excited for a few seconds, Tony calmed back down. Unfortunately, he couldn't go on one of his trips today.

He had school tomorrow, and was also presenting in class.

Usually, because of his double life, he slept during class most of the time. Good thing is, is that he did this even before he became a superhero, so no one questioned his behavior.

After all, the teachers realized that Tony was way smarter and knowledgeable then those in his age group. They tried to trip him up or call him unexpectedly to teach him a lesson, but he always responded with the right answer.

However, the project tomorrow was a team project, and he didn't want his sloppy behavior to affect his teammate.

After all, not everyone could get straight 100's like Tony, to the point that losing a few points for lack of participation didn't change anything at all.

Even before Tony's gaining of Iron Man's memories, he respected the people who worked with him and refused to do anything that might bring them down unless they have had massive conflicts.

Thus, he wanted to be on his top game tomorrow. So no armor testing today for the Iron Man.

Tony, who now has nothing to do, decided to go back to one of his projects.

J.A.R.V.I.S.

Iron Man's creation, that helped him regulate his security and armor functions. Having it would take his game to the next level.

So he had starting working on it for a while. But obviously, he wasn't making much progress. Of course, it wasn't because Tony couldn't do it, but because he didn't have the equipment.

His current setup couldn't even began to measure up to the required standards, and unlike with his armor, he couldn't sneak into STAR labs to help create it.

The zero policy went it came to A.I's was still the same as the world in his memories, and considering the existence of the being called Ultron, Tony also had to agree.

Not to mention that if Batman found out about his creation of a lifelike A.I, the vigilante was likely to pay him a visit and make him feel a world of pain.

So until Tony had his own lab with it's own supercomputer, it would take a while to start J.A.R.V.I.S up again.

Even if he did, the J.A.R.V.I.S he created wouldn't be the same as his memories. But Tony had no problems with that.

After all, he wasn't the original Tony either. Tony was much less confident and skilled as his counterpart. But that didn't mean he couldn't change that in the future.

Anyway, his building of J.A.R.V.I.S wasn't going to happen anytime soon, but that didn't mean he didn't have his own plan.

In order to gain resources for his suit and his programming, Tony realized that he needed a massive source of income.

Thankfully, the Iron Man, while being a genius inventor, was also a genius businessman. He took the large military company of Stark Industry and turned into a multinational business empire.

He even claimed that if he sold all of his current assets, he would be able to make that back in a week's time.

Of course, Tony wasn't as good as his predecessor, not only because of his lack of experience, but also because he was still young. It was very hard for businessmen to take a child seriously. But that didn't mean that Tony couldn't succeed.

His brand new company, Stark Securities, was one of the fastest growing companies in Gotham, and had managed to gain investment from Wayne Enterprises.

His company mainly focused on the creation of security systems and protection such as drones. This was because he wanted to fulfill that role in the market, considering that many people in Gotham had lost faith in such things.

That's were he came into play. His line of drones, Security Drone Mark 1, was equipped with not only the abilities to detect intruders, but also had the ability to dodge and fight. They where equipped with many non lethal items such as sleeping gas and controlled stun guns.

Of course, he didn't make them connected and had them have their own individual systems. It wouldn't be the first time that some villain wanted to rake havoc using his tech. Thus, he decided to double down on his drones security.

His drones became a massive success, and he even received a thanks from the mayor because his actions led to a decrease in crime in Gotham.

He now made quite a sum of money, though most of it was spent buying material for his armors and paying of his ludicrous electricity bill. Thankfully, his father was also a scientist, and didn't question his little projects considering that Tony had enough money to pay of his own bills.

However, Tony expected his company to grow rapidly, not just because of his large list of future products, but also because of the investment from Wayne Enterprises.

Everyone knew Bruce Wayne, but after meeting him, Tony realized that he wasn't the playboy that he presented himself as. After all, the Iron Man was also a rich play boy, and he could spot the acting when he saw one. Bruce Wayne was different then people believed, and they found themselves having the same views when it came to certain matters.

With that thought in mind, he climbed into his bed. He fell into slumber with the thoughts of how his memories changed his way of life completely.
