Chapter 11 Meeting the Fiance

Tik Tok... The time seems to run slow today.

Tonight is the night that I would be properly meeting my supposed fiance. Aiko will stay behind with Yuki babysitting her. That's right... I think today was her date with Max.

She kept on saying how she doesn't want to date him, yet she keeps on asking my opinion about what clothes she should wear. She has also changed her hairstyle at least five times, along with her make-up and fashionable clothes.

I think she has a crush on him. I mean is kind of obvious. It's been so long since she had any interest in the opposite sex. She has been busy attending parties and living a carefree life since she also knows that Auntie will just arrange someone for her to marry.

Just like what my current situation is.

"Baby, are you sure you will be fine staying here until Yuki came?" I ask Aiko who is observing Rachel style my lovely hair.

" Mhm! I will be fine here, mommy! I have many friends here!" she answers in a jolly tone.

A charming smile made its way on my lips as I stare at my reflection in the polished mirror.

"Alright, if you need anything just ask Auntie Yuki or Big sister, Rachel, okay?" I said after Rachel is done styling my hair.

"Yes, mommy~!" Aiko said as she hops towards me, with a beaming smile on her lips.

"Wow~! Mommy is so pretty~! Thank you big sister for making my mommy pretty~!" Aiko said before smiling radiantly at Rachel who's face turns red at the genuine compliment.

Aww~! My baby is so adorable!

I can't help but smile at how much, so she grows during our stay here. She manages to make everyone dote on her in one week. My dear baby is really something else.

"Are you feeling alright Yumi? Why don't we call Dr. Yuen tomorrow to check on you? I'm worried about your health." I heard my dad asked once we sat down at our candlelit table.

We are currently at a private restaurant own by the prominent Ashton family. Yes, the second son of the Ashton family is my Fiance. It turns out the reason why my family was invited to their organized party six years ago was to develop a bond between us. And our marriage became their solution since they found out that I'm still single and their son is also unmarried, hence the whole situation.

My mom thought I would be back after a year, so they have already decided on a date for our engagement to be announced. Until my grandma called them to tell them that I would stay for a while. Yes, that is what my grandam use as a cover before she told her the truth about Aiko.

She said I was going to spend time with her. Just to prevent them from trying to find me. You see, my grandma is traveling around the world together with her longtime bodyguards and faithful maids. After grandpa Larry passed away, she decided to fulfill her promise to him about traveling the whole world. And that what she's been doing this whole time.

"Don't worry dad. I'm fine now. I'm just probably stressed last night, that's why I collapsed. I'm sorry if I made you all worried." I answer as I gently touch my dad's slightly trembling hand.

I felt mom hug me by my side, as she places a kiss on my cheeks, " Just make sure to treat yourself well, Ash. I will hate myself if something happens to you." she spoke softly to me as I felt her manicured hand tremble a bit.

If I was me before I would just probably roll my eyes at them and telling them to stop overreacting but... now that I have Aiko. I can completely understand why they worry so much about me.

Every time Aiko is out of my sight I can't help but worry. Especially during the times that she suffered from a severe cold, I was trembling and I practically raised my voice at the doctor that checks her condition.

"Don't worry mom, I promise to take care of myself," I assured her before giving her and my dear father a kiss on their cheeks.

"Sasha Dear~! I'm sorry for making all wait~!." a female voice interrupts as, as we glance where the cheery voice came from.

Entering the room, an elegant lady clothed in a long red dress is gently waving at my dear mother with a huge smile on her crimson lips.

"Oh? Lucille! You look so lovely!" My mom greeted enthusiastically as she stands up before hugging the woman.

While my dear mom and charming lady in red are busy chatting, Dad on the other hand is already talking to the man she was with... I think that's her husband.

Mrs. Lucile Ashton is the charming lady in red. As my dear mother, she was also once a famous model rivaling my mother's beauty... I heard they were also arranged in marriage by their parents. And like my dear parents, they too, learn to love one another.

Her husband, Mr. Jacob Ashton, is the executive chairman of their successful company and is also a well-known figure in the business world.

Glancing cautiously behind them, a good-looking man bless my eyes. Oh, wow... you can see his muscles from the elegant suit he is wearing. He is tall with bronze skin, red hair, and blue eyes.

He got his soft-looking red hair, from what I assume is his dad. While his mesmerizing blue eyes came from what I assume is his mom, the charming lady in red.

I didn't know I was staring intently at the attractive man in front of me until I notice him staring back at me. I snap out of my hypnotic trance, naturally looking away from him before clearing my throat as I can feel my face turning red.

This is so embarrassing...

"Oh my~!Is that your lovely daughter Ashley? She's so pretty! I'm so happy to finally meet you dear~!" I kindly glance at the charming lady in red, before standing up to greet her.

I gave her a beaming smile before letting her hug me, "Thank you, but my beauty is nothing compared to yours, Mrs. Ashton." I politely said to her.

I saw her lovely face reddened by my sincere compliment before letting out a soft chuckle.

"Why thank you, dear! I want you to meet my beloved son, Miles, Come politely introduce yourself to your Fiancee," she said as she motions for her to come closer to us.

I can't help but blush a little when I recall what happened earlier. I never stare at a person that long, well except what happened earlier. I can't help it okay? He just has this extremely attractive face, and I haven't seen a handsome man in a while.

But why is my heart beating so fast like this? Calm down my dear heart!
