CHAPTER TWENTY

LEWIS/JAMIE'S POV

"So I'm perfect huh?" Logan ask chuckling as we walked out the Plaza, with camera flashes still blinding our eyes.

With a protective arm wrapped around my shoulders, followed by Justin, Jess and Jer with his date and Logan's securities leading the way.

Unable to answer Logan, I just smiled, wondering how there were so many photographers and reporters still outside this late. By now they would have normally dwindled away.

"Mr. Daniels, Mr.. Daniels, did your new fiance, Jamie break up your engagement to Amy Jacks?" a reporter shouted.

Stopping, Logan looked confused, before Justin came up behind him. "Walk, just walk" Justin mutters angrily.

The securities came closer surrounding us as a shield, while the reporters continues to shout out accusations about me breaking Logan and his fiancés Amy Jacks engagement.

What? My happiness and joy immediately evaporated. Everything that occurred during the past five hours is becoming a nightmare.

Logan's engage?

I tried pulling out of Logan's arms, but his grip only got tighter and I'm sure to see red marks when I get home.

Our limo was already in front waiting on us, as some reporters continue to snap photos of us with Logan's hand on the small of my back ushering me into the limo, which is the last place I want to be.

I wanted to get away from Logan but I couldn't, not until we leave here.

Logan followed me inside, and I tried moving away from him. Sensing my reluctance to be too close to him, he didn't push me, but his tightened fist and grim expression was all I needed to know my calm and sensitive fiance was burning with an uncontrollable anger that he was fighting to contain.

Reaching out a hand, I covered his tightened fist with my hands.

Without looking at me, he opens his fists, entwining our fingers.

Whatever is going on, we'll work it out I thought, but what the hell is going on?

Whose Amy Jacks and where has she been since Logan and started dating?

Something's not adding up and I need to trust Logan. Justin won't lie to me! Logan's parents won't lie.

Logan leaned across speaking to Justin who in turn spoke to the the security driving shogun.

We were all silent with Jess coming to hug me, forcing Logan to loosen his grip on me.

"What the f**k was that? Justin breaks the silence.

Pulling his phone out of his pocket, Logan dials a number and waited.

"Yeah, why would the reporters think that I am engaged to Amy Jacks? Logan asks the person on the other end as they answered

After about a minute and a half,

" What? why didn't you say something? "

After a few seconds,

"At the penthouse," Logan says hanging up

"What?" Justin asked Logan.

Looking down at me. searching my face, before leaning down and planting a kiss to the top if my head.

"You guys will be moving into the penthouse until this situation is resolve" Logan says to my brother and sister.

Immediately sitting up, What?, No " I said. refusing to be intimidated into leaving my home.

"Just for the weekend then" Justin intervened. today being the early hours if Saturday morning.

Without waiting for us to agree, Justin gives the shotgun security our address.

"Pack in fifteen, before reporters get to your home." Justin say "We'll secure it" Justin continues barking out instructions.

"It's not what it looks like, my parents will be meeting us at home" Logan says pulling my head on his shoulder.

"I know" I responded, as I feel his tense body relax next to me.

"Thank you" Logan says softly.

Jer's date was scrolling through her phone and she got Jer interested in what she showed him as they both wore a worried expression.

"Anything interesting" Logan asked but was distracted when the limo pulled up in front of our house.

Justin being the last in was the first to exit. My brother had already open the front door by the time I got there.

A security came running to speak to Justin, before Justin started bellowing instructions again. "You have ten minutes, the reporters are on the way" he shouted

Nodding to Jess before she ran to her room with Logan following me to mines.

Taking basic necessities and a couple change of clothes we were ready and back on the limo.

Jer stayed back to secure the house with two securities, as I now started to worry.

Five minutes later, Jer called Justin to let him know that three news vans and cars were pulling up as they drove off.

"Gray, it's all a lie and we're going to get to the bottom of this" Justin promises.

"I didn't get my school supplies" Jess piped in.

"That's okay, we'll get it tomorrow" Logan promise.

Leaning back, using Logan's chest to cushion my head. "won't they come near your place!" I ask with concern.

Chuckling without any humor "oh I would love them to try, they are just a lawsuit waiting to happen." Logan threaten.

The next five minutes drive to Logan's place was silent.

The limo driver drove into the underground parking of Logan's penthouse.

Justin, Logan and the security helped with our small luggage as the eight of us filled the elevator.

"Jer?" Jess asks Justin.

"He's on his way" Justin said softly, to encourage my baby sister.

When we got to the penthouse, "excuse me " I say, picking my my carry on bag.

Without looking around, I just walked up the stairs, reaching the corridor leading to the bedrooms.

I slid to the floor in the beautiful gown my fiance designed for me. Looking at my engagement ring for the first time, as I kept twisting the ring around.

"You'd better not be thinking of taking it off" I heard Logan say, before I saw him.

With a small smile, I tried to stand up with my heels, but couldn't. until Logan came to help me up,

"Which is mines" I asked pointing to the bedroom doors.
