CHAPTER TWENTY THREE

LEAH'S/JAMIE'S POV

With a confused expression for a split second, "of course, say yes to Logan and yes to me" she pleads with hands clasps together.

All serious now, because when it comes to Jess I have to be on my guard with her falling in love every day.

"Yes to what exactly?" I asked, not wanting to hear her response.

Smiling ear to ear, "the waiter, Alex, ask me to go out with him" she said excitingly.

It's not happening, but I can't tell her that. "tell you what, we'll talk, you Jer and I before and then you get your answer with rules right?" I told her, watching her screw her face up in anger, not hurt or disappointment. Just anger and a angry Jessica is a difficult Jessica.

Resigning herself to my decision, for now, my eyes returned to the girl in front the mirror.

Grams dress was a bit like the one Logan had made me, except it was pure white, with spaghetti straps on my shoulders, and back.

Fitted from the top to my knees, where it flared out with a short trail flowing on the floor.

The beads that grams used to decorate the entire dress, the detail were so precise. Unknown to her, I watch her while she was sewing the beads and it broke my heart to see her preparing for our weddings because she won't be here. Her cancer did not break her as much as leaving us alone did.

"You look beautiful and they are proud of you so stop the worrying. Logan will get worried if he sees tears," my brother said as he came to stand behind me, coming in view in front of the mirror.

Before I could respond, "no you idiot, it's traditional for brides to cry. I think Logan would be disappointed if he didn't see tears, even from you and me" Jess said in all seriousness, as Jer and I frown.

Still frowning, "so you telling me you got your tears, all stock up behind" Jer flicks her head, "there?" shaking his head in disbelief.

Laughing, "no, of course not! Since both you and I are happy to see Jamie go," she walks to her carry on bag, "I got us covered" she continues laughing. outrageously, showing him cut up onions in a sealed plastic bag, as Jer laughs at Jess's foolishness.

Putting my hands on my hips, "I can't believe you guys, oh my God," raising my hands in despair, I turned away from these crazy kids.

My family!

Jer phone chines, "oh yeah the reason I'm here, it's time" Jer sings.

Breathing deeply, with my hands on my chest, 'wow, I'm not ready" I tell them, nervously.

Worry and fear etched on their faces, "no, no, we're just kidding, you have to go, Logan's waiting" Jess says. with concern as I smile inside.

"No need to over think it, Logan is crazy in love with you and you like him,, sort off. So let's go get you married to him before he finds out and changes his mind" Jer coaxes me.

"I don't like him" I said, "does he think he loves me more than I love him?" I asked Jer. horrified.

'I didn't say that. If you don't think you're ready then it's because you like him, if you loved him, you would be running down the stairs to the chapel. right now" Jer clarifies his observations.

Turning back to the mirror, adjusting my dress furiously, I walked out hearing soft chuckles behind me. I picked up the bouquet of roses, open the front door, prepared to show Logan, just who loves who more.

"Aren't you idiots coming?" I shouted behind me, "I have a date in the chapel, so lead the way" I continued walking out impatiently.

Standing outside the chapel door in the hotel, with Jess in front of me and my brother at my side ready to escort me as we turn another page in our lives.

The hotel staff who were assisting with the wedding, opens the door as the organist started playing the entrance theme.

Jess walks in first before Jer and I followed with the wedding match playing.

This is it, I'm so ready for this, smiling as I walked to meet the angel waiting on the other end of the isles for me.

My long black hair, tied up loosely as it falls in fine curls down my back and cheeks.

Holding the bouquet of roses tightly. I didn't get a rehearsal so I hope I get it.

Looking towards the altar to see Justin grinning at me, but Logan's back was slightly turned as he faces the spot I'm expected to stand before him to exchange our vows.

Oh vows, do we have to repeat what the minister says or do we say our own vows.

Nudging Jer in his side with my elbow, "were we suppose to write our own vows" I whispered softy as he leans his ear closer to my lips.

He shrug his shoulders, "it wasn't on the agenda" he chuckles.

Stopping, "this is not funny" I looked at him.

"Nudging me forward, "we'll argue later. Let's get the show on the road" Jer says planting a kiss on my forehead, walking me the last three feet to meet my today, tomorrow and forever love.

Putting my hand into Logan's, "just tell him how you really feel" Jer says walking away with a smile.

"You okay?" Logan mouths.

Nodding with a smile, as Logan relaxes looking me over, no doubt appreciating my style.

The clergy tells us, 'we are ready to proceed "

Logan nods, turning his attention back to me, then the clergy starts the small intimate ceremony.

Logan repeated the traditional vows from the clergy, while I opted to say my own, to his surprise.

"Logan, you came into my life when I least expected it breaking down the walls that's been guarding my heart." I started softly.
