CHAPTER SEVENTY EIGHT

Suddenly I realize that my life has been full of troubles, but gramps and grams kept me safe. They hid me from the hurt and pain that life would have thrown my way. Withholding the truth about my identity so that I grew up happy and I was happy.

I will not dishonor their memory by being unhappy with the memories they left me.

I turned to mom, "your son almost got killed because of me. My sister, I mean Jessica Scott is causing you and husband to live apart right now. You are not at the fashion house continuing your heart long dreams" I shudder at the thoughts running through my head. "And the list goes on." I told her as Mrs Stanley takes a seat on the other side of me.

Mom's hand tightens on mines. "Jamie, if it wasn't you, then my father-in-law would have found other ways to draw my son back into his world, because he needs to." Mom explains. "Marrying without his grandparents knowledge or approval, threw them off. You, Jamie, you were the reason Logan would have never turned back to that world and yes. you are the reason he has to, but it is not your fault and I don't blame you. My son is doing this. not only for you and the baby, but for his father." mom pauses, before adding, "and me."

Chuckling sadly, "Keeping your relationship on the low was not because of the media, but because of his grandparents. Logan didn't want you on their radar and then at the show, Amy's family came ranting about Logan and their daughter's engagement. Francis got upset and decided that to hell with caution, his son needs to be happy and celebrate his life with you and hence the announcement." Mom stops and turns to Mrs. Stanley and shook her head.

"I pray by the time my grandbaby is born, all sadness would have left our house and with the new life comes a new day!" Mom, reaches a hand across to Mrs. Stanley.

Our relationship also brought sadness to Mrs. Stanley who also lost the love of her life.

Apparently sensing my thought by the look in my eyes, "oh no you don't." Mrs. Stanley warns me with a smile. "Ralph won't want this. Do you understand. He won't want this." Mrs. Stanley chided me.

"You ladies, planning to overthrow the Daniels men?" I heard my husband chuckle behind us.

Joining in his laughter, "you guys have already been overthrown by the ladies in your lives." Mrs. Stanley gets up and starts cleaning up the kitchen, while mom told us she'll be in her work room.

Left alone at the table, Logan takes the seat next to me, "you want some coffee?" I offered shyly.

With his lips on my ear, "with cheesecake" he said, nibbling my ear, sending me into a fit of giggles at the tickling sensations.

"Behave now!" Mrs. Stanley warned us. "Now if there is nothing else here that you need, please vacate my kitchen." she adds, ignoring Logan's smirk.

"Coffee and chocolate tea" I said, trying to roll my chair away from Logan's firm grip. "I'll help." I huff, while struggling with Logan.

"Don't worry, stay there, I'll prepare it, just behave." Mrs. Stanley scold us and I couldn't resist laughing at her expression.

"Aren't you suppose to be taking Justin to the doctor for a bandage change?" I reminded Logan, who suddenly seemed distracted.

"Yeah, I call doc, but he decided to make a house visit instead." he updated me on his plans. "But you." He turned to me with a disappointed look, "you cancel the nurse?" Logan sound upset, which he should be, because I did not discuss my plans with him.

Nodding, "Yes, but that's why I will be hiring Gwen and the nurse could come for a few hours daily. I mean we could try that?." I wait for his response as a dutiful little wife, but this is what I want.

Logan leans back on his chair sighing, wiping his palms over his face, tiredly.

"Didn't Dr. Morris say that he'll put you on bed rest if you didn't heed his advise?" Logan asks and we both knew that he did, so I chose to ignore his question.

Mrs. Stanley placed our respective drinks in front of us, reminding us to behave, before leaving the kitchen.

"Do you think they'll keep reminding us about this cheesecake incident?" I asked sipping my chocolate tea. I closed my eyes moaning, savoring the taste. "I love chocolate" I whispered, licking my lips. I opened my eyes to see Logan staring, eyes on my face, my lips to be exact,

"What?" I asked softly, licking my lips, trying to wipe out cream that might be on my lips.

His eyes darkening with lust, "how can you enjoy hot chocolate in this hot weather?" Logan asks, but his expression depicts, that his thoughts were elsewhere.

I just shrugged, because, even though the place is hot, my taste bud craves hot chocolate, so hot chocolate it is.

"Have you heard from the guys?" I asked instead, my thoughts on Jer who went out to face Jess at the Daniels Mansion.

"Yeah, a few minutes ago. They are on their way back as we speak." Logan confirms easing my mind a bit.

Still in need of more information, "do you know what happened? Did Jer meet Jess?" I asked, concern.

Shaking his head, sipping his coffee, "they didn't mention anything, but despite what they say when they get back, I'll take my father's word as final.

I nodded, remembering what I needed to do, "can you call them and asked them to bring me four bouquet of flowers from the local flower shop?" I requested. Logan looked at me with a questionable gaze before calling Cameron.

There was a knock at the front door,. Putting down his cup, Logan, went to answer, returning with a elderly gentleman.
