CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FOUR

It was daylight when Logan returned, stopping short when he entered the kitchen to see me hanging out with his best friend.

A smile broke out on his face, as he approaches me, "got anymore of that?" He points at Justin's mug and Justin nods, but I choose to get up and make the coffee for him. I refilled the coffee pot, while Logan joined Justin at the table.

"Man, I gotta tell you," Justin started peaking my interest. "Your wife made two of the most disgusting sandwiches and she hasn't vomited it, as yet." He says, exaggerating to Logan.

I spun around, "I did not," I defended myself and my sandwich.

Huffing, "oh please, who paste their chicken and ham sandwich with nutella and peanut butter?" He says childishly, curling his lips in disgust, as glares at me.

I wasn't backing down, "what my baby wants, my baby gets." I retorted as I made Logan's coffee and an extra cup for Cameron, whose already walking towards the cabin.

"F**k Jamie, is that what you're feeding my daughter?" Logan asks as he comes behind me to take a cup of coffee.

'Son" the jackass says from behind us, "son" he repeats for Logan's benefit and I took a napkin and rolled it, hitting him straight in the eye.

"Bullseye" Cameron chuckles as he enters the kitchen, as Logan watches on in amusement at Justin's expression.

Raising his right hand, Logan waits for me to high five him and I laugh with him, happy to see him smiling.

"A boy?" He leans closer and whisper in my ear.

Shrugging my shoulder, "I'm not sure, but I hope." I whispered back, hoping that he's not disappointed with my desire.

Grinning, "once you're both happy and healthy, then I'm happy." He chuckles, "I hope that mom is not too disappointed," he muses, turning to hand Cameron his coffee.

Chuckling mischievously, Justin winks a me, "got the baby sex sorted out?" He asks Logan.

Without answering, Logan nods, while escorting me to my chair. "Woke up early?' He asks sipping his coffee which he held with one hand and playing with my hair, with the other.

Before I could answer, my mouth piece responded for me, "more like she haven't slept yet." He chuckles.

I shook my head, glaring at him, because now, Logan is going to insist I go back to bed!

Ignoring Justin's comments, "how's Rico?" I lifted my chin, showing him that I'm not backing down and for once I'm determined to be involved.

Staring at me in surprise, Logan glances between Justin and Cameron, lowering his eyes, "what do you want to know?" He asks softly.

Frowning, "is he still alive?" I asked in disbelief. I can't believe that he still wants to keep me in the dark about what's going on.

Lifting his eyes towards the guys, he slowly removes his arm from around my shoulder and wipes his three day old beard. Leaning back, he shook his head.

"He's dead?" I squealed, shocked. Even though I wanted him gone, I'm still shock, because I'm not accustom to anyone around me, not dying, a natural death.

Concern etched Logan's face and I know he's worried about me handling things like this. Maybe, that's why he kept me in the dark about this side of things and these are the things that build invisible walls between us.

Reaching out, I caress his rough cheeks that's covered in facial hair. "I'm fine" I smile. even though my inside's in turmoil. "You need to trim this!" I chuckle, hoping my eyes reflect, my light tone.

Rubbing his beard, he puts back a hand around my shoulder, leaning his head on mines. "Let's go to bed, you need your rest," Logan moves to stand and I stopped him.

"I'm good," I said and he shrugged his shoulders but he doesn't seem please, with my decision to remain out here.

"Breakfast" he looks expectantly at Cameron, who yawns and stretches before, getting up, to organize breakfast.

The guys seem uncomfortable with me around and I figured they probably want to discuss matters at hand.

"I think I'll take you up on the offer, to tale a short rest" I said already wheeling myself away from the table "and Justin's been awake all night to, so you should also send him to bed" I smile as Justin nods in agreement with me. "Yeah, he definitely needs his beauty sleep" I motion under his eyes, laughing as he starts glaring at me.

Standing up Logan joins me.

"Breakfast" Cameron, reminds Logan.

Waving him off, "going for a shower, take your time" he bends and lifts me bodily off the chair and carries me bridal style towards our bedroom.

Even though he smells sweaty, I don't mind, I just want to be close to him and involved in this other past life of his, that's forcing itself in his present.

"The chair?" I reminded him and he ignores it, pushing open the door of our room.

Shutting the door behind us, "you won't need that, when I'm around" he puts me to stand gently on the floor, "Care to join me for an early morning shower?" He chuckles, when I responded like a eager greedy girl!

Logan left me to join the guys for breakfast, while I remained in bed, relaxing, waiting for Logan to join me, for a short rest.

Waking up hours later, I realized that Logan didn't come to bed like he promised and I'm trying not to be disappointed, because eliminating the threats against our family, is taking up all of his time.

I want this to be over and done with before our baby arrives, so I will try not to be the nagging wife, I'm slowly becoming, because I crave my husband's attention.

Sitting up, I saw my chair near the bed, so Logan did return, but he didn't stay.

I moved around, using the bathroom and refreshing myself, hoping someone's around to take me up to see Gwen!
