CHAP 9

It's the year 20XX and I'm right now not sure what's going on. Everything is so dark and I can only head muffled voices. The dark felt peaceful and somehow familiar, maybe it won't be too bad staying here for awhile.

"Papa," Kai's voice echoed through the darkness and that's what made me wake up. I woke up and quickly sat up, I looked around my surroundings which was the same except the fact that everyone was sitting beside me. "Hey guys," I waved at them and they looked dumbfounded.

"Seriously you fainted and the first thing you say when you wake up is hey guys?" Joel asked, he looked so concerned. "What else am I supposed to say? Oh let me try this," I laid back down and did the same thing I did just now. "I'm alive!" I yelled this time instead of the simple "hey guys" which made everyone laugh except Val.

"Guys go take care of the intruders, Vic go play with Kai." Val said sternly and everyone listened. Shit, he looked pissed, I'm definitely getting an earful. "Val, I'm sorry I was reck-" I didn't get to finish my sentence. Why? Because Val's body was over mine, he was hugging me so tight like if he let go I'd disappear. "I was so worried," his voice broke like he was crying "you're a reckless idiot, I thought I almost lost you."

"Hey, I'm alright," I patted back and comforted in a soft voice. "Please promise me you wouldn't do that again..." I felt his tears starting to hit my bare skin, yes to you who's wondering I am shirtless. "Val, how could you ask me to do something impossible like that? I'll always be there to step up to protect you and all our friends and Kai. I'd risk my life for all of you, I can't promise to not do that again."

Val was trembling and I could hear he tried to hold back his sobs, I feel terrible for making him feel like this. "Hey, it's okay." I reassured and pulled away, he had tears just rolling down his cheeks. I wiped away his tears and gave him a small kiss on the lips. "I'm alive and I'm not dying anytime soon." I kissed him again and pressed my forehead against his. "No matter, I'm here okay."

"I'm starving man, let's go find some food." I yelled and Val just started chuckling. "Sure but can you stand?" He questioned, his voice was hoarse and damn did I enjoy hearing it. "I think so," I tried pulling myself up to my feet. Just as soon I managed to get upright, my knees became bitches and gave out. My vision went blurry and I tried to hold myself with a wall, a table or something just to stop myself from fal-

Val caught me right before I could taste the ground, helping me sit back down. "Maybe I can't stand," I chuckled but he didn't seem impressed.Val just shook his head and slipped his hand under my leg, another behind my back and picks me up like I'm a feather. "It's okay, I got you." My face went bright red and I buried my face in his chest.

"You should eat more, you weigh as light as a feather." He teased and started walking somewhere. I heard Kai laughing with Vic and the others gossiping about something. "Val, this is embarrassing." I whined and Val just laughed. "These are our friends, they don't care and neither should you." I just nodded which I think he noticed.

Val stopped and sat down while still carrying me, I tried to get off but he held onto me. "Let go," I tried to get up again but he pulled me even closer. "No, I'll feed you like this." His words made my face go even red. "You're going to be the death of me," I grumbled as he ripped a bag of nuts open and fed me one at a time. "Too bad because I'm not letting you go anytime soon," he smiled brightly and continued feeding me.

After the excruciating time of being held and fed, it was kinda my job to interrogate the other group so I made Val put me down but he still stood very close. He had an arm around my waist protectively. "Interrogation time, names?" I asked but no one responded. I rolled my eyes, getting a bottle of water and dumped onto Will's face.

"We're not telling you anything," He spat but I just shrugged. "I mean I already know your name, Will right? That bimbo chick is Emily and this idiot should be Jason. What's the other two's names?" I asked again and Emily glared. "I don't need to answer anything to a disgusting fag like you," everyone who heard almost charged at her but I held my hand up stopping them.

"I'm sorry, I don't understand what you just said," I took a pause in my sentence and gave Emily a small smile then continued with, "I don't speak skank." Emily looked pissed beyond words and I just felt satisfied with my comeback. "You're disgusting, you and him and your whole group." I told Val to let go of me for a second and he hesitantly did so.

I grabbed a handful of her fake blonde hair and made her face me. "Just stop talking already, sweetheart. No one is listening to the trash that's coming out of your mouth." That made her shut up, oh how much fun I'm going to have interrogating these idiots.
