Xander looked at his updated skills and loved it. The day before he thought of a plan to finish the ID: as fast as possible.
So at night he started his effort towards gaining the [meditate] skill. It took less time than Xander expected to get it, probably because he did something similar when he looked for his Mana.
After reading the description, Xander spent the night levelling it up, and so, at the average rate of about one and a half levels per hour, it is at level 6 intermediate.
As it was the weekend, Xander left the house and immediately entered an empty ID and started creating the [Mana Pellets]. After about an hour he reached level five with it, which is great.
For the skill [Stone Body], apparently each stat has a passive bonus on reaching certain milestones with it.
The first is at 100, which granted me [Wood Body], Then 250, then 500, then 1000, then 2500 and so on and so forth.
Now that the Stats are checked and the time is right, Xander went to the park and took out his 'special' note book. If one opens the notebook, they will find all kinds of weapons, ships, creatures and people in it.
Xander ignored everything and went to a specific page with 8 small futuristic looking Figures drawn and coloured on it. One can't but think they look awfully similar to the Ghosts from Destiny 2.
Xander smiled and began summoning the first. He placed his finger on the drawing and slowly pulled it away. He then pointed to the side and from his finger came out a blue light. It then began to form a sphere about a meter away from him.
Soon enough the blue light faded and the blue sphere dispersed revealing a grey plain Ghost. Xander Smiled at his success and checked his Mana reserve.
"Damn little guy, you cost me just under a hundred and Fifty Mana…" Xander looked towards the little ghost with incredulous eyes. If he factors out the [Arcane Blessing] and the [Mana Manipulation] discounts, the little Ghost would cost 300 Mana
Xander turned to his only ally at this moment "Scarlet… why does it cost so much?"
[Give me a second Boss… here it is]
[Intelligent Puppet: Custom Ghost]
Small body – 50
[Intermediate Flight_10] – 100
Added abilities
[Basic Mana Pellets_5] – 50
[Intermediate Meditate_6] – 100

"…"
[…Boss?]
"There was pricing?" asked Xander, confused
[It seems so Boss]
"… I see" Xander decided to move on as getting angry or frustrated wasn't gonna help "let's summon another then meditate"
And so Xander did. After every two Ghosts summoned Xander would have to take around twenty minutes to meditate and regain his Mana. And so at about noon time Xander was ready to take on his first dungeon.
"ID create, Zombies"
---
The ID looked like a carbon copy of the real world. The main difference as far as Xander can tell is that it is quieter. There are no birds, no critters, no cars to generate background noise. The only thing preventing complete silence is the Ghosts and the growls of monsters in the distance.
Xander commanded the Ghosts to fly high and begin sniping zombies with Mana pellets. As a Puppet, the Ghost's Mana is directly supplied by Xander and so the total Mana available for the eight Ghosts is 350. As Xander told them to snipe and not obliterate, each pellet will cost 1 Mana and so, math says they should be able to kill 350 Zombies no problem.
But wait, there's more.
As Xander is not planning to participate in the fight, he will be meditating on top of a rooftop with a single ghost for protection, and so, he will recover 14 Mana per minute through meditation plus 21 from Mana Manipulation and 35 Mana per minute from Spirit stat, bringing the total to 70 Mana per minute.
In other words, if the Ghosts kill 1 zombie per second, Xander would have no problems supplying the Mana…
Take note Boys and Girls, that's how you do things the easy way.
PREPARATION
---
So Xander found a really tall building in the middle of down town and sent his Ghosts to hunt. As long as they remain a certain distance above ground it should be fine, each one of them was ordered to only shoot once every 7 seconds. The one remaining with Xander was ordered to open fire at any enemy that comes to the roof, just in case.
---
105 seconds
That is how long it took for the Boss to show up.
Xander looked towards it from his position on the building above.
[Undead Giant_10]
It should be mentioned that all zombies are level one, so this boss is quite 'high levelled' in comparison.
Xander created a Mana orb with 300 Mana in it. He then compressed it then destabilized it and then some more and…
*Ding*
[Basic Arcane Bomb_1(5%)] (Active)
A Mana bomb.
- Does magic damage equal to 100% of Mana spent
- Explosion radius equal to 1% of Mana Spent
- has a chance of knocking enemies down, based on their level and the Bomb strength
---
Xander grinned as he read the new ability. He really felt that Mana was barely utilised in the original Gamer comics.
*ROOOOAR*
Xander attention was brought back to the Boss as it was looking up at him. It saw where Xander was and so started attacking the building he was on.
seeing the situation, Xander simply dropped the orb he was holding on top of the Giant's head.
*BOOM*
[CRITICAL HIT]
The giant was mostly ok, just without a head.
*Ding*
[Level up]
Xander chuckled "Cool"
---
As the ID is cleared Xander received his rewards. He got the next ID unlocked, ID: Thugs, which he needs to clear to unlock anything further. Additionally he received three health potions and the two skill books in front of him.
[Life Drain]
[Ki Control]
"Can I learn these Scarlet?"
[Of course Boss. If there is a detrimental effect on learning a skill, then you will be warned and you also have the ability to turn off passives]
"Nice" Xander with an appreciative nod "let's learn them then"
*Ding*

*Sigh* "Gonna be a long couple years I'll tell you that"
[I agree Boss, but I have an idea that might help]
"Oh, well let's hear it then" Xander was surprised and excited for what Scarlet has in mind
[Manga]
"Manga?"
[MANGA]
Tadaaaa
that's why Batman is Batman.
