Chapter 25

Diane was happy that she had decided to get her own car.

Starting the car she drove out of the parking lot.

Knowing how Jeremy behaves Diane knew he would definitely come after her. Hence she avoided going home.

She needs to be alone.

After driving miles to the suburban part of the city Diane parks her car a little bit far from the beach.

She got down from the car still dressed in the shirt that exposes her legs.

She inhaled the salty air of the beach, the feeling of calmness overpowering the pain that was suffocating her.

She feels numb.

She had thought she would break down in tears once she was alone but strangely there were no tears.

She was glad.

Sitting down close to the shore the waves would come to wash her feet, Diane hopes it would wash her pain away too.

She doesn't deserve this.

Diane was enjoying the morning sun licking her face when a beach ball was shot at her.

A little boy ran to pick it up.
