Chapter 16: plans and threats

Venitas asked, "so what are the things we're going to discuss?" Midray said "we've gathered here to decide how are we going to handle the relationships between humans and other species. However, I don't know how is that important." Feldway said, "this issue is far more important than what you have thought." Midray said "but I don't see the importance of that. It's the role of the demon lords to decide about that." Venitas said, "so what you're trying to say is that you don't care about whatever happens to this issue?" Midray said, "yes, as long as it doesn't concern my kingdom." Venitas said "sigh, you have a fair point but you, Feldway, and the gods are starting to become a nuisance to demon lords. If we ended up waging war. I wonder what will happen in this world?" Midray said, "Right, I'll just kill whoever is the last man standing between you." Liza said "why don't you just leave it to themselves? Let them decide what will be the outcome of their existence. If they made up a decision to end a certain species or race. They can come to the Gods and ask to do something about it. I know the demon lords have nothing to say about this if they were to decide it." Venitas asked "and how are they going to decide about that?" Liza answered "each species will establish their representatives to attend a debate that will decide their fate. You demon lords will become the facilitator of this debate and will make sure that this debate will become as peaceful as possible." Midray said "that might be a good idea. I have no objection if it becomes successful but what about this 2?" Midray looked at Venitas and Feldway. Venitas said "I have no objection." Feldway said, "well, the majority wins so I have no objection."

Midray said, "now that settles the nonsense issue, let's get down to the major one." Feldway said, "the demonoids, right?" Midray said, "yeah, they're starting to become an eyesore." Venitas said "yeah, I agree with you. Earlier before, they try to take over demon lord Diablo's dungeon and of course, my fellow demon lords did their job to protect it and they just barely made it out alive." Liza said "what do you mean by that? Did they almost lose their lives?" Venitas said, "yes, they were up against Leviathan." Feldway said "it will be a miracle if you managed to survive against Leviathan, after all. One of us is not powerful enough to defeat her. It will take 2 of us to defeat her." Midray asked, "so how did they survive?" Venitas said, "a mysterious person came, that made Leviathan run away like a human seeing demon." Feldway asked, "do you have any idea who is that person?" Venitas answered, "no, I already have my fellow demon lords to investigate that." Feldway said "that is interesting, the only people that can defeat Leviathan is the 7 upper moon angels, Alicia the ruler of the multiverse, the ancient god and the ruler of the 7 upper moon angels God Xerxis, Satan the king of the demonoids and Asmodeus the brother of Alicia. However, Asmodeus and Xerxis were killed by Alicia and the 7 upper moon angels disappeared right after Xerxis died. Moreover, Alicia is not allowed to interfere in our matters because of the rule that she created and Satan is the husband of Leviathan." Liza said "well then, who is it?" Venitas said, "damn, there are a lot of unknown." Midray said "I see, the demonoids are starting to become annoying on your side as well." Venitas said "you mean, they attack you as well?" Midray said "yeah, they managed to get their hands on a virus that we've been keeping. They managed to get their hands on it because Celestina turned into a Demonoid." Liza said "on our side, the demonoids are doing their best to find Keros by ravaging dragon kin villages just because of that stupid scripture that connects Keros to the reincarnation of Xerxis." Feldway said "they're also manipulating my people behind my back. No matter how many times I clean it up they kept on popping anywhere. It kind of feels like there is a traitor among our ranks."

Venitas asked "so what should we do about these people? The Athrima war that they started is already over but they still keep on causing trouble." Feldway said, "it kind of feels like they're packing up a huge power that will blow us up." Midray said, "but that's impossible, Satan was being sealed away." Liza said, "but Asmodeus subordinates are still alive, roaming free from this world." Feldway said "yeah, I wish they would disappear already. I remember the old days of fighting them and they almost wipe me and Keros out of existence. Their power almost destroys the whole multiverse but we are saved by Alicia." Venitas said "are they that terrifying?" Liza said "yes, they may be being weakened right now but we can't still afford to underestimate them. They also might have an ability to find out who's the reincarnation of Xerxis." Midray said "so what your afraid is that. If the subordinates of Asmodeus and Satan subordinates worked together. It will give us a much bigger problem? Are they that powerful to cause such a problem?" Feldway said "I guess you haven't met these people since demon lord and chimera insects haven't existed 2,000 years ago." Liza said "that war put the other dimensions and planets into a wasteland." Venitas asked, "so what are you suggesting to do?" Liza said "I think we should utilize the forces that we have to stop this collaboration while using a minimal force to gather information regarding finding out what is their goal so that they won't notice that we're gaining knowledge on what they're trying to do. Moreover, we will have an idea why they are after Xerxis." Venitas asked "what if we discovered something about their goal, how are we going to share it?" Midray answered "it's simple, we just need to send some of our most trusted subordinates to transfer information on us." Feldway said, "that's much better." Venitas said "I have no objection to that as long as the people that you're sending will behave themselves and don't interfere with my job as a demon lord." Liza said "same goes with me." Feldway said "well, that settles it. All that's left is how to make sure that the demonoids won't be able to find out what is our plan." The facilitator said "that is up to you people. Whatever you discussed in this meeting is none of our concern, after all. Our boss Alicia is not allowed to interfere with your affairs." Liza said, "I guess every content of this meeting is safe."

Venitas got curious and asked, "by the way, Midray, just what is this virus that you were talking about earlier?" Feldway said "now you bring it up. I'm also curious." Midray said "that thing is like the Demonoid curse. It has the power to turn an individual into a Chimera insect but it's not as strong as Demonoid curse." Liza asked, "what do you mean?" Midray said "if a certain individual acquired this virus. You can still resist as much as you like but if the one who created this is more powerful than you. I hope you can find someone powerful enough to crush him because if no one was able to kill the one who created it. You'll be turned into a chimera insect forever. Moreover, it's powerful enslavement as well. This much more powerful than the normal enslavement contracts." Venitas said "that is a terrifying virus." Midray said "yeah, Celestina might use it against us soon." Feldway said "so we have to hurry up then. Time is our enemy in here."

Venitas said, "let's conclude this meeting already so that we can make our move immediately." Liza said, "I agree." They all stand up and the facilitator said "this concludes the Stelia banquet. You may do as you please now." They all left one by one until Liza and her subordinates were left. Liza said to the facilitator "Shera, I know you're disguising yourself and I want you to show yourself." The facilitator said "you have a good eye, huh? Well, since they're all gone we'll show ourselves." Liza said, "well, I'm already used to that disguise of yours."

The two facilitators showed their true forms, one girl and one boy." They both have white and gold hair and wings with 7 golden and blazing halos. Shera (the girl) said "so what do you want?" Liza said "before we get into that. Would you mind telling me who is this man that is with you?" Shera said, "this is my brother, Cecil, the 7th to the weakest upper moon angels." Shera stared at Cecil and said "Cecil why don't you go back and help Alicia?" Cecil said, "what about you?" Shera said, "I'll be having a reunion with Liza, my fellow servant of Lucifer." Cecil said "OK, then I'll take my leave." Liza stared at her subordinate and said "you guys should go home now. I have some private matters to do with my friend Shera." Shera said "uuhhh, wow, you think of me that way, huh?" Liza said, "shut up will you?"

The 2 subordinates have left and Shera asked "let's go to the point. Why did you call me out, Liza?" Liza said, "I know you can communicate with Keros so I want you to contact him right now." Shera said "I can't do that. The only thing that I can do is to send a message to him." Liza said "sigh, becoming the leader of the guardian deities is much harder than I have thought. I need his idea about who am I going to send about this sharing of information that we decided earlier." Shera said "well then, why don't you just leave that matter to Azuna, the right hand of Keros? She has much more knowledge of how Keros do things since she's always closed by Keros's side. She might have an idea on how to handle this." Liza said "I knew approaching you was the best decision that I made, by the way. Why did you guys take Rem and Finralds job? What happened to them?" Shera said "they're traitors. They've been providing information to Demonoid Vangeance. We've only found it out 3 days ago. The good thing is they don't know that we the 7 upper moon angels are still alive and collaborating with Alicia." Liza asked "what happened to them?" Shera answered "we killed them before they could catch up on our plan." Liza said, "well, that's good to hear." Shera said "I wonder if we could use this opportunity to play franks against Satan?" Liza asked "what do you mean?" Shera answered "well, I can assume Rem's form so maybe I can feed him so much wrong information." Liza said, "that might work." Sher said, "I'll give it a try later."
