Leaving Africa

"You have to leave, Eve." My mom says as I look out unto the beautiful night of Nigeria. I sighed before turning around to face her.

"Will you and dad be alright?" I asked taking her hands in mine.

"Yes, we will, my love. Don't worry about us, just be safe in India okay?" My mom says and I nod my head as she put her hand on my cheek.

"The coast is clear. We can leave now, Eve." Jhene my older sister says as she held onto her crossbody bag closely. My mother and I turned around to look at Jhene then she came up to our mother and hugged her.

"You two be safe out there, safe enough to get away from that evil monster." My mom said as she held us close to her and we both nodded our heads. I grabbed my bag and Jhene grabbed hers. Our mom followed us as we walked out of my bedroom into the living room walking into our dad as he ended a call.

"You two will be alright, I have already made plans with my close friend. He will be waiting for you two." My father walked up to me and my sister before giving us a hug.

"Thank you, father. For everything." Jhene said as we both gave him a huge tight hug probably this will be our last hug.

"I love you," I said against his chest.

"I love you too, my loves." My dad said before kissing both me and my sister on the head then we pulled away from him and started heading towards our door out the house.

Once Jhene and I made it outside to our driveway there were two bodyguards already waiting with the door opened for us, we looked at each other and sighed before entering the black Jeep. As soon as we got inside and put on our seatbelts, the car sped through the streets of Nigeria. I wanted to stay and hold onto my parents until I couldn't anymore, I really wished my boyfriend, Jordan was a good man who belonged to a good family but he was the reason why I was leaving my hometown. The place I once loved was now a place of fear. Everything started to fall apart once he proposed to me, he began to become very abusive and controlling over me. At first, he was aggressive towards me by the way he talked but little by little he would begin to hit my arm or slap me across my face if I didn't do what he liked or simply didn't obey his word.

Living with Jordan, I became a slave and someone who I didn't recognize anymore. I tried telling his father but Jordan's father dismissed me and told me that I was trying to take away his son's throne and birthright which was not true. I loved Jordan and no matter how harsh he was to me, I would never do anything back to hurt him even though I wanted to at times. I remember one night we got into an argument about us having a child I thought it was too early but personally, I wouldn't want our baby to go through what I am going through with Jordan. He slapped me so hard I hit the wall on my face and when he got close to try to hit me again I slapped him. After that, he had his way with me throughout the entire night. I knew I had to tell someone so I left our house and stayed over my parent's house where Jhene stayed at as well and told them everything luckily they believed me and made a plan for me to leave with Jhene to go to India. My dad had a close friend who is a king and who I only met a couple of times. He lived in India and has a wonderful family, I only met his second wife but something tells me that I was going to have a good life over there just by the way the king treated me the first time we met.

After, the long drive we finally got out of the car and headed towards our private jet. Jhene held me so close to her side as if she was going to lose me. She's probably going through the same pain as me right now but we would have to put it behind us because right now we were going to start a whole new life together. As we got on the jet and sat on one of the chairs I looked out onto my beautiful city feeling like this was a dream but it wasn't, I just hoped that my parents were going to be safe and sound.

"Hey," Jhene called and I looked at her.

"It's going to be okay." Jhene caressed my hand and I nodded before exhaling then looked back at the city as we went up in the air.

"I know," I said before I drifted off into a night of deep peaceful sleep.

HASSAN POV

"Hassan! Mr.Jones daughter is on the way here along with her sister. You better be ready by the time they come here." I hear my dad shout as I relaxed on the chair in our beautiful garden by the pool glistening in the hot sun. I exhaled before looking at my friends, Remy and Abhay then we all started to laugh at my father's nonsense.

"Your father still treats you like a ten-year-old boy, Hassan." Remy chuckles before taking a sip of his Tropical alcoholic drink.

"I know right, " Abhay agrees before laughing again.

"You have no idea." I shook my head before relaxing back into my lounge chair, without a worry in the world.

Remy and Abhay have been my friends since we were ten and now that we're in our late twenties, a lot has changed throughout the years, and with that came a crazy amount of responsibilities as a prince in the household. I have a little sister and she's one of a kind always sticking up for me when my dad would take it hard on me but am a man now so I kind of understand where he comes from when it comes to taking better care of myself. I live by myself now but my parents sometimes come over and right now I was at their house because of some girl from Africa that my father knows wants to come to India and stay with them. I have no problem with newcomers but I am kind of curious as to why she's coming here out of all places especially during the summertime.

"Bruv, your thinking from outer space again," Remy says sending me back to reality. I fixed myself on the chair I was laying on and stretched my arms a bit.

"Yeah, man what's on your mind?" Abhay asks they were both looking at me with a concerned look on their faces.

"Nothing, guys." I wave them off without looking at them and Remy sat up straight.

"You can't lie to us, Hassan. You know you can't." Remy says and I exhaled before looking up to the skies as I watched an airplane fly.

"The girl.....this girl from Africa. I've heard of her but never met her." I say with my eyebrows furrowed.

"I heard she's a beauty." Remy nods

"And a baddie too," Abhay says and I throw a pillow at him that was next to me and he catches it playfully.

"What about her?" Remy asks

"I don't know, am just curious as to why she's going to be here. My father says he's known her ever since she was a baby and that he's seen her from time to time. He's really close friends with her father and I've met him once he's a cool dude." I explained

"Maybe you will find out once she comes here," Abhay says

"As a matter of fact, what time is it?" I ask and Remy takes out his phone.

"It's twelve right now," Remy says as I started getting off the chair.

"Damn, well alright, boys. I will see you later tonight for my mom's birthday party." I said as they grabbed their things off the chairs they were sitting in.

"Yeah, brother." Remy exhaled before giving me a brotherly hug. Then Remy and Abhay walked towards the door to the driveway as I followed behind them. I watched leaning on the house door as they got in their sports cars.

"Alright, see you soon!" Abhay shouted before they drove off.

I headed back into the house and closed the door behind me only to be met by my mother standing there with a small smirk on her face. Then I noticed that her hair was nicely wavy and she had on a white dress that made her blue eyes stand out more.

"Hey, mom." I smiled before giving her a hug.

"What do you think of the new look?" My mom asked after we pulled away.

"It looks nice, you look beautiful." I smiled making her smile even more.

"Thank you, honey. Now, where is your shirt boy?" My mom said making me chuckle then I started walking out into the garden to put on my shirt that was still on the chair outside and she followed behind me.

"Right here," I said after I put it over my shoulder.

"You should be getting ready to look presentable in front of Mr.Jone's daughter and her sister." My mom said as she played with my hair.

"I know, ma. That's why am going to go take a shower right now." I gave her a kiss before walking back inside the house to the stairs.

"Hurry up! It's already twelve twenty." I hear my mom shout once I made it to my room.

I quickly got in the shower, washed my hair then I washed my face. After I was done drying myself I got into my boxers and a light blue dress shirt leaving the three buttons down to expose my chest. Then I got into my white pants putting a brown belt around my waist then I put on some nice clean brown dress shoes that matched my belt. I stood in front of the mirror once I was done with my outfit and fixed my hair, I left the curls in the front and sprayed cologne on myself.

I grabbed my phone out of the charger and put it in my back pocket. I walked out of my room and headed downstairs as I walked closer to the living room, I can hear cheerful and soft voices. Once I made it to the living room, I saw my parents talking to one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen in my life. She was wearing a yellow tube dress that fitted her curves so well and her hair was up in a high puff and her sandals were yellow as well showing off her blue nail polish on her toes. She wore three rings on each hand and had a gold necklace around her neck and wore a pair of gold hoop earrings. Her skin was dark and that color on her made her skin-pop out, even more, this female was going to be the death of me and I didn't even say hi to her yet. Right! I didn't say anything to her or her sister once I got in here.

EVE POV

After our ten-hour plane ride, Jhene and I were escorted by two gentlemen who were very nice to us and who spoke clear English, they even knew a little bit of our language which I thought was cool. They took us to this spa and afterward we ate some Indian food at this nice expensive restaurant. India was already a beautiful place so beautiful that I forgot about all of my troubles as if I was taking a vacation here with my sister. I couldn't imagine how the King's house looked, was it going to be as big as my house in Nigeria or bigger?

"That spa was amazing!" Jhene said to the gentleman that was driving us to the King's house.

"Am glad you enjoyed it." The man smiled, he had one of those advertisement smiles that you couldn't look away from. Just by the way my sister was talking to him, I could tell she was thinking the same thing probably even more.

Once we got off the road, we were driving into a big forest that had nothing but trees then there were two bodyguards guarding a big Golden gate that had a statue of a tiger on the top of it roaring. The gentlemen pulled out their phones and showed it to the bodyguards then the gate opened and we were driving around which felt like forever but it looked a long driveway. As I looked out the window I saw a huge mansion in all its glory shining brightly in the day of light, I gasped as I looked at the mansion and my sister did the same. I have seen mansions before, Hell! I own one but nothing was compared to this house.

Once we got to the house, the gentlemen parked their cars in front of the house

Once we got to the house, the gentlemen parked their cars in front of the house. Then opened the doors and grabbed our luggage for us as we walked up to them, I saw the King and his wife standing next to each other with a huge grin on their faces. The King was wearing a black dress shirt and white pants and black shoes to match while the wife was wearing a white asymmetrical dress with gold sandals and some gold hoop earrings to complete the look. I ran up and gave the King a hug, I haven't seen him in so long.

"Hello, my beautiful darling!" He said as he held me close to him, it reminded me so much of how my father would hug me. I tried my best to hold in the tears while remembering just yesterday I was in my father's arms.

"It's so good seeing you again," I said against his chest.

"You too." He smiled once we pulled away from each other then I turned to see his wife and she opened her arms wide while giggling as if I was her daughter.

"Hello, my sweet girl! How have you been?" She asked as she squeezed me tightly.

"Good," I said with squished cheeks making Jhene chuckle behind me.

"You must be Jhene, you have grown so much the last time I saw you." I hear the king say as he hugged my sister.

"I know it's been a while," Jhene said as they pulled away.

"Your house is amazing Miss Abdul!" I exclaimed as I looked at the mansion.

"Oh! Just wait until you see the inside." She smiles widely keeping her hand wrapped around my waist.

"Yeah, c'mon." The King said before letting us inside the house first before closing the door behind us.

First of all, when you walk in you can see the view of the pool and a beautiful garden from here. The stairs were big and round, I wondered how many rooms that had in here. Then the King's wife led me and Jhene into the living room, it had a big crystal golden chandelier hanging up from the ceiling and the main color of the walls was beige with white curtains showing the sun peeking through the window. The floors were white marble and they were so many paintings but the one that stuck out to me the most was the one hanging above their blue long couch and it was of the family but I saw their kids one was a girl on the left she looked extremely gorgeous just like her mom and two men on the right. I can tell the one with the beard and long wavy hair was probably the oldest but the one next to him had wavy hair as well but shorter than his and he looked so handsome in the picture am guessing that was the King's youngest son who all my friends would talk about, huh I understand now he was handsome.

"It's such a pleasure having you two stay here with us." The King's wife said with a beautiful smile bringing me back into the conversation that we were having.

"It's a pleasure being here." Jhene nodded with a bright smile.

"I will treat you ladies with some amazing champagne." The King said making us all giggle before he walked to the bar that was next to the living room where we stood.

Our laughter died down once we heard footsteps approaching the living room. By my sister's facial expression, I looked to turn around to see who it was and it was the man himself, Hassan Abdul. He stood there with a complete dazed look on his face I couldn't tell if he was surprised or shocked, not that I cared because my eyes slowly looked down at what he was wearing. He had on a light blue dress shirt that had his melanin popping half button-down showing his chest and he wore white jeans with a brown belt around his waist that matched his shoes. His curls dropped in front of his face as he just stared at me, I hoped I wasn't staring at him for too long that would be embarrassing. I turned to look at my sister and she just smiled at me, knowing her she probably saw me staring at him and was trying to tease me about it just by the way she smiled at me. The King's wife eventually cleared her throat and that snapped Hassan back into reality clearing the tension that was already in the room.

"Hello, my name is Hassan." Hassan smiled as he held out his hand.

"Hello, Hassan. My name is Eve." I smiled and he smiled even wider if that was possible. We stared at each other for a bit then I let go of his hand so he could greet my sister.

"My name is Jhene, I am Eve's older sister." Jhené introduces herself.

"Nice to meet you, Jhene." Hassan smiles and I can hear the King giggling to himself quietly at the bar as he poured the champagne into the wine glasses then he put two red roses on top for me and Jhene then walked over to us.

"Wow! Very creative, thank you." Jhene said as she looked at the glass.

"Thank you! I learn from the best." The King said as he looked at his wife who was blushing at him.

"Hassan, would you mind coming with us as we give these lovely ladies a tour around the house. Just to show them where they will be staying in for the rest of the month or maybe more." The King asked Hassan but it sounded more like a demand, I could tell by the way the King smiled at Hassan he was torturing him.

"Sure, father." Hassan nodded but I could tell he was dying of embarrassment from the inside because of the way he was staring at me earlier.

"Yes, c'mon." Miss Abdul smiled as she grabbed a glass of champagne from the bar herself and continued to walk in front of us as she led the way around their beautiful mansion.

She showed us their long hallways of different rooms, she showed me and Jhene their big luxury kitchen that had the same marble floor as the living room but the kitchen looked more modern than the rest of the mansion. Most of the colors in the kitchen were white and gray then we walked inside of their resting room but more their mediation room, a place to dwell on scriptures from the Bible and to pray. It was mostly white and beige and the sun shined through the room so beautifully it had a wooden round small table in the middle of the room with books on top of it. I personally loved this room so far because prayer and meditation are what I need in my life right now. I didn't even realize that I had stayed in the room until I was sitting on the couch then I heard Hassan voice but I didn't hear what he said.

"Am sorry?" I asked

"I said they already left the room, they're outside now showing your sister the pool and garden. You wanna join along?" Hassan asked but I could tell he wanted me to say something else.

"Oh, okay." I got up from the couch.

"You could stay in here if you want." Hassan's voice softened and I turned around to face him.

"No, it's fine." I smiled and he nodded before looking down.

"You can show me my room instead. I mean you can always show me around the place, right? It wouldn't hurt." I shrugged my shoulders.

"Indeed it wouldn't hurt at all." Hassan smiled then led the way out of the room.

I followed him up the stairs into a big luxurious bedroom, the color of the walls was white and there was a big crystal chandelier in the middle of the room. The bed was big enough for three people, the covers on the bed were thick but the one underneath it was satin and the pillows were beige just like the covers. The white soft curtains hung behind the bed and in front of the bed wrapped around the two golden pools. There were two lamps and nightstands on each side and the floor was brown marble. The room still gave off an old school feel to it not that I complained the room still looked spontaneous. I went into the bathroom and it was already heavenly. It smelt like honey and caramel, there was a bathtub and a shower. The shower was really big and there was a round mirror where the sink was, the floor was white marble and so were the walls.

I came out into the bedroom where Hassan was still waiting by the door for me with a smile on his face. I came out into the bedroom where Hassan was still waiting by the door for me with a smile on his face. I noticed that there was a big window in my room to showed the city from where we were at and I just stared in awe as the clouds were still and the skies were golden about to go into the sunset. I could get used to this, staring out into the city of Mumbai every day when the sun would set this was truly a blessing and I didn't want anything to come between this feeling I was having.

"Do you like your room?" Hassan asked and I turn around to look at him as he walked up to me.

The sun was setting on his beautiful brown skin and he smiled softly, he looked so handsome in that outfit. Hassan was handsome in general and I could tell that he knew that, just by the confidence he had and how he carries himself made me feel confident and relaxed.

"Yes, I love it!" I squealed

"Am glad you do." Hassan smiled brightly and he watched my every move as I walked to the bed. By the look on his face, I knew he wanted to ask me some questions.

"Eve," Hassan whispered.

"Hassan," I said and he chuckled.

"What are you doing here exactly? Not to be rude or anything." Hassan said with a concerned look on his face as if he hurt my feelings and I shook my head.

"Am here because of a personal problem." I looked away realizing that this topic was going to come up eventually.

"Okay, you don't have to tell me." He says and I could feel my tears starting to form.

"It's just." I wiped a tear but it kept on flowing on my face, I couldn't even finish my sentence.

Hassan saw this and came to sit next to me quickly grabbing a hold of my hand. I looked at him when he did and all I saw was hurt and sadness in his eyes then I fell into his arms. As if he knew what I needed he instantly wrapped his arms around me in a tight but gentle hug and I started to cry even more. He rubbed my back as I did making me feel safe and at ease. Once my sniffles and tears stopped coming, I just laid on his chest.

"Breathe, Eve. It's all alright, everything is going to be okay." Hassan whispered before kissing my forehead, he never stopped rubbing my back. Doing as he said, I inhaled and exhaled slowly before regaining the words that I wanted to say at first.

"Would you believe me if I told you that the reason why I am here is because of an abusive person," I said and he looked down at me then I looked into his eyes waiting for an answer.

"Yes, I would believe you." Hassan nodded and I continued.

"I don't know if your father knows this already but I am running away from my fiancé because he's a man in power and is very rich in Nigeria," I said then there was silence for a moment.

"When did he start hurting you?" Hassan asked breaking the silence between us as we both stared at the sunset through the window.

"After Jordan proposed to me, he started to say some hurtful things to me if I didn't do what he asked or if I said something that he didn't like. Then he started to become abusive and controlling over me ever since I moved in with him. He would beat me almost every night and would have his way with me. Every day I wanted to tell someone about him and this situation then one day I ran into his father at the grocery store and told him about Jordan but he dismissed me and acted as if I wanted to take away his son's fortune. When Jordan found out about this he started to beat me even more then one night when he came home I decided to make dinner and put a sleeping pill into his drink so he wouldn't wake when I left the house. Jordan had locked me away from my family for two months it felt like forever because when they saw me on their doorstep they were worried and devastated. Finally, I told my family and my dad knew your father so he suggested that I live over here for the time being with my sister. I don't know how long I am going to stay here but I don't ever want to see Jordan again but I do miss my parents and I want to go back to them so badly. In a way this is my fault, I am the one who met Jordan and thought that he was a good guy if it weren't for me none of this would've happened." I said before I felt tears come again.

HASSAN POV

When Eve said those very words my heart became hardened and sad for her. She went through all of this in two months and I was here in India living a lavish life but would complain if I didn't have the right car that I wanted. Eve deserves the whole world and real love, I would want to be that person to give it to her. And I swear if I see Jordan in life I will knock his lights out for hurting Eve, the number of times he beat Eve I was going to give him the same amount but more painful.

"Eve, I don't ever want to hear those words come out of your mouth again." I caressed her cheeks and she looked away.

"Look at me, Eve," I demanded and she looked straight into my eyes.

"You deserve the world, Eve. So you can stay here as long as you want until that psycho leaves this earth. You hear me?" I say and she nods her head slowly not breaking eye contact with me. She then grabs a hold of my hand and kisses it, I swear this woman was going to be the death of me.

"C'mon let's go to the kitchen so I can make you something to eat," I say before getting up and holding my hand out then she grabbed my hand. As I stood in front of her, I wiped her tears away and kissed her on the forehead before we walked out of her bedroom together down the stairs and into the kitchen where we run into my parents and Eve's sister.

"We were looking for you two!" My mom exclaimed once we walked in.

"But not everywhere, this house is too big for me." My dad jokes making us all chuckle.

"I was showing Eve her room," I said before going over to the cabinet to grab a glass to pour water into for Eve.

"Oh, that's lovely." My mom says

"Yeah, it's so beautiful." I can hear Eve's soft laughter that just brightens my smile.

"We're glad you like it." My dad says then I turned to give Eve a glass.

"I hope the champagne wasn't too strong." My dad says to Eve and she starts smiling.

"No, it wasn't." Eve shook her head.

"Am about to make Eve and Jhene some food. If you want some, Jhene?" I asked and Jhene nods her head furiously.

"Oh, Hassan! Remember we have my birthday party tonight. So, don't go feeding them a whole full course meal." My mom says before giggling.

I can't believe I totally forgot my mom's birthday party tonight. I was just so caught up in making Eve feel better that I didn't even pay attention to the time, it was already six going on seven. Not that I am complaining, I just wished I had more time with her.

"Oh, I didn't know it was your birthday?!" Jhene exclaimed before giving my mom a hug.

"Oh yes, it is! And you ladies will celebrate it with us and the family. It's going to be a big gathering of our family coming here so, don't be too shocked when there are a hundred people walking around the place." My mom told Jhene and Eve.

"Or like a thousand people." My dad said and we laughed at his comment.

"He's not kidding." I smiled and Eve looked at me.

"Thank you, Hassan," Eve whispered and I nodded just a little.

"Where is my room?" Jhene asked my mother.

"It's upstairs, I will show you." My mom grabbed Jhene's hand and was about to leave the kitchen until Eve stopped her.

"Miss Abdul, I don't want to be presented by your family looking like this," Eve said and I was totally confused as to why she would say that.

Eve looked amazing in that dress and I know that there will be other men trying to go after her tonight so I will have to keep Eve by my side because I don't want anybody stealing what's mine.

"Oh, darling. Stop calling me Miss Abdul call me mom and I don't see what's the problem with you wearing that dress. You look absolutely stunning and beautiful. Eve is a showstopper isn't that right babe?" My mom asked my dad and he smiled brightly.

"Indeed she is." My dad said and he noticed that Eve and I were staring at each other in the midst of this conversation.

"Well, I want to get dressed in something more formal," Jhene says before my mom led her out the kitchen and walked upstairs with her leaving me with my father and Eve in the kitchen.

"Are you enjoying yourself so far?" My father asked Eve.

"Yes, I am. Thank you so much for letting us stay here, it really is an honor." Eve smiled as she sat down on the stool in front of the kitchen island.

"Oh, all the pleasure is mine. I bet Hassan is having a good time with you being here right?" My dad asked looking at me and I sighed before looking at Eve.

"Yes, I am." I smiled softly at her and she just melts on the chair.

"Eve, you can watch a movie in the living room if you want or in our private movie theater if you want?" My dad asked Eve and she nods.

"That would be great!" Eve smiled

"Hassan put a movie on for Eve." My dad demanded and I knew he was doing this on purpose.

"Okay, father," I said and Eve stood up from the stool walking over to the living room and I followed behind her.

"Actually, Eve. Can you wait patiently for me, please? I have to talk to my dad about something." I said with my hand on her back.

"Sure." She nods before she continued to walk down the hall into the living room. I made my way back into the kitchen and saw my father reading a book on the stool.

"वह किसके बारे में था? (What was that about?)" I asked in Hindi and my father looks up from the book and puts his glasses down with a smirk on his face.

"I know you like her, Hassan. इसलिए मैं ऐसा कर रहा हूं (That's why I'm doing this)." My father says as he stands up to go to the window that showed a nice view of our pool.

"No disrespect, father. But your so annoying when it comes to my crushes." I smiled and he chuckles as I stood next to him looking outside then he exhales.

"You know, Eve has been through a lot this year. And I wanna treat her as a father right now the same way I treat you and your siblings." My father explains

"I know, she told me pretty much everything," I said and he looks at me with a sad look.

"It's a terrible thing, what people do to other people." My father said and I nodded.

"I will keep her safe, father," I said sternly.

"Please do and make her the happiest person on this earth, her sister too now." My father said and I chuckled as I rubbed his shoulder.

"Adesh will take care of that," I said

"Who? Jhene? Oh yeah, that's definitely his type." My father agreed before he started chuckling.

"Speaking of Adesh, he should be here any minute." My father said as he looked at his watch.

"Oh lord, let me put on a movie for Eve." I started walking out of the kitchen.

"Yes, you do that." My father shouts before I made it into the living room where Eve was sitting at playing with her rings looking beautiful as ever as she waited patiently for me on the couch.

"Am back," I say catching her attention then she smiled as I grabbed the remote and sat next to her.

"What do you wanna watch?" I asked looking at her.

"It could be anything literally." She smiled and I nodded before I thought of a good movie for us to watch in the meantime on Netflix.

I turned on the TV and went on Netflix, I flicked through movies until I saw the movie Murder Mystery. Adam Sandler is hilarious in this movie and I know for sure that Eve will enjoy this movie as much as I enjoyed watching it. I clicked on it and it started playing.

"What's this movie about?" Eve asked looking at me.

"You will see," I smirked before I looked at her.

"No fair." She pouts and I started to laugh.

"You will be fine, the movie is really funny." I smiled and she chuckled.

<TIMESKIP>

Twenty-five minutes into the movie, Eve was already laughing at the characters and how the movie was playing out. Just seeing her smile and laugh made me feel happy. I want Eve to stay like this forever but her current situation and how things are playing out right now is going to take a while to make her happy on the inside and out. But I don't have to worry about Jordan for now, as a matter of fact, I should look him up and send one of my private investigators to go and look into Jordan's life and business. Eve said he's a powerful man in Africa and I want to know why.

EVE POV

I wondered what Hassan was thinking about so much that it was distracting him from watching the movie with me. I was looking at him for a while until his phone rang and it snapped both me and him out of our thoughts. He turned to look at me and I smiled then my eyes went back to the movie. He took out his phone from the back pocket and looked at the screen.

"My brother is here," Hassan said while looking at his phone then the doorbell rung throughout the house.

"I guess that's him." I smiled and he nodded, we both stood up and he paused the movie as we both made our way to the door.

"Who is that?!" Hassan's mother shouts from upstairs and Hassan shook his head.

"Once she knows that my brother is here, she's going to faint, " Hassan says and I laughed when he opened the door.

There stood a man with black wavy curly hair and a bright smile holding a suitcase, he looked just like the guy from the picture in the living room with the family. He had on a black button-down shirt and blue jeans with black sneakers on. He had to be about 6'4 because he was pretty tall but Hassan looked to be about 6'2.

"Hey, Hassan." The man said as he gave Hassan a brotherly hug.

"Hey, brother. What's going on?" Hassan asked as he hugged him.

"Nothing much, brother. It's been a while." He said as he pulled away from the hug then he looked at me with wide eyes and Hassan looked at me as if he forgot that I was standing there. I thought it was cute how these two interacted off the bat.

"Who is this beautiful lady, Hassan? Your new girlfriend." The guy asked while looking at me and Hassan coughed lightly and held his chest. I just stood there quietly scratching my head.

"No, my name is Eve." I smiled holding out my hand, completely ignoring what he said on that last comment.

"That's a nice name, Eve. My name is Adesh, I am Hassan's older stepbrother." Adesh smiled as he shook my hand and I nodded.

"But we are brothers and we love each other," Hassan said and pushed Adesh side a little too hard making him groan in pain but Hassan chuckled and Adesh started laughing, I did as well.

"Oh, there is my boy!" Hassan's mom screamed and we all turned to look at her standing on the stairs with a hand on her chest in a new outfit. She came running down and Adesh dropped his black luggage and ran up to her.

"I missed you so much!" She shouted as Adesh swept her feet off the ground by hugging his mom. The way that they hugged was like in those romantic movies and when they see their lover and the guy would pick the girl up and hug her.

"I missed you too!" Adesh said excitedly once he put her down.

"You look beautiful as ever!" Adesh hyped his mom up and she just blushed while flicking her hair back and forth. I laughed at her and Hassan stood by me laughing as well at his mom's silliness.

"You've met Eve already right?!" The mom exclaimed and they both looked at me.

"Yes, I have she's a doll," Adesh said giving me a wink and Hassan cleared his throat at him.

"What's the commotion?" My sister asks as she walked down the stairs catching our attention.

She wore a long brown tube dress and she had flat ironed her hair. Jhene looked amazing as always I got most of my styles from her but then I learned how to dress by myself.

I saw that I wasn't the only one who took in her beauty because Adesh was staring at her with his jaw dropped. Jhene looked at Adesh and admittedly smiled at him making me chuckle a bit then I looked at Hassan and he was looking at me the whole time and we both started to chuckle quietly at each other.

"You must be Jhene? I've heard about you." Adesh said as he stepped forward in front of Jhene.

"Yes, I am. And you are?" Jhene asked then Adesh grabbed her hand and kissed it while looking at her.

"Adesh, Hassan's older brother," Adesh smirked and Jhene started to smirk as well.

"Interesting." Jhene smiled as she looked deep into Adesh's eyes.

"What do you think is happening right now?" Hassan whispered to me.

"I don't know but I like it." I nodded and Hassan nodded as well.

"Let's get this party started!" The King shouted making us snap our necks towards his direction as he walked down the stairs.

He matched with his wife in white and gold. His dress shirt was white but his jacket was gold with white little stripes around it and he had on white slacks to match, his shoes were gold as well completing the look. While the wife had on a hold off the shoulder dress that fell down all the way to the floor but it had a split so it showed her legs and she was wearing gold strapped heels that fitted her legs well. They both looked so good together I mean he is a king and she is a queen after all.

"You look really good, sir." I smiled and he waved me off.

"Aww, thank you." Hassan's dad said as he fixed his watch.

"He got the style from me." The King's wife said and we all giggled.

"Adesh, Jhene, Eve, and Hassan. We will be outside helping out with the writers and waitress for the night. So, why don't you guys chill in the living room." The King's wife said as she walked up to us.

"Sure." Hassan nodded before giving his mom a kiss on the cheek. Then he walked to the living room and I followed behind him.

"Hey, Eve!" I hear the King's wife call out my name so I turned around.

"Yes?" I said as she came up to me.

"Call us mom and dad from now on okay?" She whispered and I nodded with a chuckle.

"Yes, I will, mom," I said and she smiled widely.

"Good! Now go finish watching your movie with Hassan." She said before she winked at me and I laughed.

I walked inside the living room and I saw Hassan on his phone sitting on the couch, he was probably waiting for me. Once I sat down next to him, he put his phone down next to him and pressed play on the movie. I looked at Hassan then around the living room and realized that we were alone.

"Where are Jhene and Adesh?" I asked looking at Hassan and he looked around as well.

"I have no clue, good question." Hassan still looked around.

"Oh well, I guess those two already hit it off," I said before giggling and Hassan chuckled as he relaxed back into the couch.

"I guess so." He shrugged then I put my hand under my chin bringing my focus back to the movie.

This was going to be a long night.
