A Double Date

"We won!" Hassan raised his hands in the air once we made it to the front of the pool looking out into the gorgeous ocean.

Hassan picked me up and spun me around splashing Adesh and Jhené in the process then we admittedly had a water fight between each other, the pool was filled with laughter and playful screams we literally sounded like six-year-olds playing in the pool with each other.

"What's going on here?" Everyone stopped and turned to see Hassan's mom standing there with a grin on her face then we all started laughing.

"We were having a water fight," Adesh said before splashing Hassan in the face with water making Jhené and I giggle.

"You are 29 years old but you're having a water fight." Hassan's mom pointed at him with her eyebrows raised.

"Yep," Hassan nods and Adesh chuckled.

"I am done with you two boys. How are my girls?!" Hassan's mom waved them off before turning her attention to me and Jhené.

"We're doing good," I said swimming towards her.

"I can see that," Hassan's mom smiled before kneeling down and Jhené chuckled at her comment.

"Where did you come from, looking all fancy." Jhené looked her outfit then she spun around and I hyped her up making her laugh.

"From work, this is nothing really." She shrugged her shoulders. Hassan's mom was wearing a white and gold Versace long sleeve shirt with white pants and gold wedges. She also had gold hoop earrings to match and had her hair down, tucked behind her ears.

"You still look good," I smiled and she nods.

"Thank you, thank you," Hassan's mom then looked at Hassan and Adesh who were discussing something privately.

"Hassan and Adesh!" Their mom called and they looked up in sync. "Yes, ma?" The two asked then she continued. "What are you guys going to do today?" She asked then they looked at each other before Adesh looked at his mom and spoke.

"Let's go on a double date!" Adesh suggested loudly and everyone's eyes got wide then Adesh smile faded away.

"What?" Adesh asked casually looking at us.

"A double date, Adesh, really?" Hassan asked looking at him and Adesh shrugged his shoulders.

"Why not?" Adesh smiles widely and I shook my head.

"Who said we were going out, Adesh?" Jhené asked as I moved closer to Hassan's mom who was watching everything go down.

"Me," Adesh smiled as he swims towards Jhené.

"When did we come in an agreement, that's what I want to know?" Jhené crosses her arms as Adesh stood up in front of her.

"Why? You don't want to go out with me?" Adesh moved his head to the side.

"No, it's not that. It's just you never asked me out." Jhené said coming close to Adesh's chest.

"Are they usually like this?" Hassan's mom whispered in my ear and I chuckled softly so they won't hear.

"Yeah," I said and she nods slowly.

"They are perfect for each other then," Hassan's mom whispered making me laugh before she spoke out loud.

"Okay, do your own thing. I will be in my office, working." Hassan's mom said catching Adesh and Jhené's attention.

"Okay, ma," Hassan said as he swims toward me leaving no space between us.

"I wanna get out the pool now, my fingers feel like jelly," I said and Hassan nods his head.

"Yeah, I am going to get out too." Hassan agreed then we both got out the pool, I was a shivering mess once the wind blew on my body then Hassan wrapped a towel around me holding me close to him.

"Thank you," I smiled then he kissed me on the forehead.

"You guys can go on without us. We will be out of the pool in a minute." Adesh said as he faced Jhené in a staring contest. I looked at Hassan with a confused look and he chuckled.

"Okay," I said.

"We will have our double date at my house," Hassan said and Adesh looked at him for a moment then back at Jhené.

"Sounds perfect!" Jhene shouts and we both leave the pool area leaving them alone in the pool.

After I was dry, I put on my dress and sandals. Once I was done I turned around to see Hassan looking at me while we were in the living room.

"What?" I asked and he shrugged.

"You, " Hassan said, that made me blush.

"Stop it, " I covered my face and he walked up to me.

"You know you're beautiful, baby." He smiled as he wrapped his arms around my waist, holding me close to his chest.

"Thank you, babe." I snuggled in his chest.

"No problem, baby," Hassan said as we started to walk beside each other out of the living room.

"I will take a shower and get ready, " I said as walked up the stairs to our rooms.

"Me too, I will come to your room when am done," Hassan said once we stopped in front of my room door, I nodded in agreement.

"Okay, " I said before opening the door and walking straight to the bathroom.

I took off my clothes and turned on the water, washing my body quickly then let the water rinse all over my body. Once I was done taking a shower,

the bathroom was filled with the smell of vanilla. I wrapped the white towel from the bathroom around my body then I washed my face and started to put on eyeshadow. I wanted a natural but glam look so I added a gold highlighter to the corner of my eyes and put a brown eyeshadow around the crest. Once I was done with my eyes, I put on a foundation that matched perfectly with my skin not a lot but just enough. After I was done with my face, I walked over to my closet and picked out some dresses to wear for the evening and laid them on the bed. I took my hair out of the bun because I was in deep thought, I usually do that when am overthinking. It was between the cheetah dress that was sleeveless, it was going to show all of my back. And the brown crossover front halter dress that stopped at my ankles, it was V neck so it was going to show my chest.

"Eve?" Hassan asked I jumped up by his sudden appearance to see him standing by the door then I put a hand on my chest.

"Hassan, you scared me. Don't you knock?" I asked he chuckled by my reaction as he closed the door behind him and walked up to me.

"I did, twice. You didn't answer so I was concerned." Hassan explained and I exhaled, I looked like a fool right now.

"You look really good by the way." I looked at his all-black outfit, he had on a black button-up shirt showing his chest and was wearing black pants. He also had black shoes to match the rest of his outfit, his hair was still wet probably from taking a shower.

"Damn, I must look that good if you're staring at me like a piece of cake," Hassan smirked, I snapped out of my thoughts and hit his arm playfully. He acted as if he was wounded and I started to laugh then he looked at the two dresses on the bed.

"Let me guess, you're trying to decide what dress to pick?" Hassan asked and I nodded looking at the two dresses.

"They both would look good on me," I said and he nodded in agreement with his finger on his chin looking at the two dresses back and forth then he smiled.

"The brown one," Hassan pointed at the brown halter dress and I looked at him for a moment shaking my head, of course, he would pick this dress it was going to show my chest and it had a slit.

"This boy," I said as I grabbed the dress and he giggled.

"You would look great in it, " Hassan said as I walked to the bathroom with the dress in my hand.

"Yeah, yeah." I shook my head before closing the door.

"No, Adesh." I ignored Adesh as we walked upstairs to our rooms to get ready.

"C'mon, it will be quick." Adesh wrapped his arm around my waist, trying to bother me.

"No, you're not going to shower with me." I faced him once I made it to my room door.

"Please," Adesh whined and I shook my head as I opened the door.

"Can I at least stay in your room." Adesh bargained but I was not having it.

"Go to your room and take a shower. When am done, I will call you." I said and he nodded with a pout before walking out of my room.

I chuckled once he left my room, he's such a kid. All he wants to do is be around me, I didn't mind but he doesn't have to know that. I took a shower in the bathroom and after I was done I went to the closet to put on a black two-piece outfit for the evening. Once I dried myself I put on the off-shoulder crop top with the black skirt to match. Then I did my makeup and put my hair in a ponytail. I heard a knock on the door and I went to go open it, of course, it was Adesh standing there with a smile on his face like a kindergartner then he looked down at my body.

"Wow, you really went all out for me, baby?" Adesh asked and I walked away from him, shaking my head.

"Adesh, this outfit is not for you." I lied as I put on my black heels.

"It looks like it," Adesh smirked as he sat down on the bed next to me. As I tried to tie the straps around my ankles, my nails kept getting caught in them making it hard for me to tie it.

"Here let me help you," Adesh said before bending down in front of me to tie my heels.

I have to say, Adesh was a fine specimen in his white button-down shirt and black jeans. As he was tying my heels, his arms showed through the shirt he was wearing and I started to bite my bottom lip. He was so focused he didn't see me looking at him in a seductive way. My phone started to ring on the nightstand, catching me off guard. I grabbed my phone and looked at the screen to see that it was my father calling me. My father specifically told me and Eve not to call him because he didn't want Jordan to track us down, I answered it and brought the phone to my ear in curiosity.

"Hello?" I asked

"He's coming, Jhené. He's coming." My father said but the phone was breaking up so I couldn't hear exactly what he was saying.

"Dad? What's wrong?" I asked Adesh looked up at me with a concerned look.

"He's coming, tell Eve- His phone hung up and I looked at my phone in confusion before looking at Adesh.

"Is everything alright?" Adesh asked as he rubbed my leg.

"My father just called me...saying he's coming," I said in confusion.

"What does he mean by that?" Adesh asked as he stood up.

"I don't know and plus his phone was breaking up," I said then he caressed my face.

"Honey, I think it's probably something serious." Adesh had a worried look on his face.

"I have a feeling too but I couldn't really hear." I stood up and walked to the bathroom, Adesh followed along.

"Are you going to tell Eve?" Adesh asked, I looked at him and thought about what he said.

"Not right now, I want her to relax and enjoy this time in peace with us," I said and he smiled lightly as he walked up to me.

"Okay," He whispered as he rubbed my hand.

"Wow, Eve. You look stunning." Hassan said making me smile as he looked at my appearance. I had my hair up in a bun to show my makeup more since we were going to be out.

"Thank you, baby," I said after I twirled in front of him with the brown halter dress on making him chuckled at me.

"Y'all ready to go?" Adesh came into the room with a smile on his face, Hassan and I shook our heads by his sudden outburst.

"Yes, we are." Hassan got up from the bed and I walked into the bathroom to add Fenty lipgloss to my lips then I put it in my small black purse.

"Am ready," I smiled at Hassan then looked at Adesh as Jhené stood beside him at the door.

"Okay, I see you, Eve. Looking all good for your man." Adesh said as I walked up to Hassan.

"I don't know what you see in my brother, he's ugly as hell." Adesh joked making Jhené hit him on the arm.

"I sure do look better than you," Hassan retorted and I chuckled.

"Stop it you two, c'mon." Jhené pulled Adesh arm making him walk out the room then Hassan and I walked behind them.

I wrapped my arm around Hassan's arm as we walked down the stairs and Hassan's mom came out of nowhere looking at us with a smile then she covered her mouth in excitement.

"You guys look amazing for a double date." Hassan's mom exclaimed once we made it to the floor.

"Thank you, ma." Hassan smiled.

"I am pretty sure, am the one making Adesh look good right now," Jhené said making Adesh look at her with a raised eyebrow. While Hassan's mom wiggled her eyebrows at them making Hassan and I laugh.

"Well, you are, Jhené." Hassan's mom chuckled and Adesh looked at her while she shrugged her shoulders then we started to walk to the front door.

"See you later, ma." Hassan waved at his mom as we walked to our cars.

"Okay, drive safe!" Hassan's mom waved back before going back inside the house, closing the door shut.

" We are going in separate cars?" Hassan shrugged his shoulders at my question as he opened the door for me.

"Lets race to your house, " Adesh challenged as he pointed at Hassan.

"You always want to race," Jhené says making us laugh then Hassan comes inside the Lamborghini, starting the car with his keys.

"It's a race he shall get," Hassan smirked as he got out of the driveway quickly.

I saw from the window Adesh quickly getting into his yellow Lamborghini with Jhené and turned on the car. Then we were gone with the wind, I pulled out my phone and connected it to the Bluetooth. I went to my music library and started playing music as Hassan rode the car on the highway as if he was in the movie Fast and Furious.

"Nice song," Hassan with his eyes still focused on the road.

"I know, I have good taste in music." I cockily shrugged and he chuckled.

As we were driving on the highway, we saw Adesh's car coming right next to us then Hassan swiftly moved the Lamborghini in front of the two cars that were in front of us making Adesh hunk his horn at us. Hassan and I laughed at his frustration as we drove out of the highway going on the streets. Hassan made a sharp U-turn and went into a forest, I looked at him confused because we don't go this way to his place then I saw his house from afar. I looked on both sides to find Adesh's Lamborghini but there was no sign of him. When we drove into the driveway of Hassan's house, I unbuckled my seatbelt while Hassan parked his car in front of the house.

"We beat him." I smiled and Hassan smiled as well.

"Yes, we did." As soon as Hassan said that Adesh pulled up to the driveway with his car and I sighed.

"You cheated!" Adesh shouted once he got out of the car.

"How?" Hassan simply asked as he went on my side to open the door for me.

"Because you took a shortcut," Adesh argued while helping Jhené out his car.

"You didn't say anything about shortcuts, you simply said let's race to my house. So that's what we did, we raced to my house and you lost." Hassan said once he helped me out the front seat then we started to walk up the steps.

"You do have a point, babe." I shrugged then gave Hassan a kiss on the cheek and Adesh rolled his eyes at us.

"Fine!" Adesh exhaled in defeat then the doors open, it was the same maid who opened the doors for me and Hassan yesterday. She smiled widely as she looked at us standing next to each other.

"Hello, everyone. Your table is ready and the chef is in the kitchen waiting for you guys." The maid said and Hassan nodded.

"Thank you for letting us know, Christine." Adesh smiled at her and she nodded before moving out the way to let us in the house then she walked away from us.

"Damn, Hassan. You didn't tell me you were the Great Gatsby." Jhené looked around in awe while holding Adesh's hand.

"Babe, my house is way bigger than this," Adesh said trying to show off.

"Stop trying to show off, Adesh." Jhené slapped his arm and Hassan chuckled at the scene.

"Looks like Adesh has found his match," Hassan whispered in my ear as they walked in front of us.

"You think so?" I asked and he nodded with a smile.

"Hey, um. I never said thank you." I pulled his arm so he won't walk away.

"Thank you for what?" Hassan asked

"Making me feel special," I said then he smiled before kissing me on the lips.

"You make me feel special, princess." Hassan caressed my cheek and I honestly could melt right here on this floor.

"C'mon love birds, we are waiting on you." We hear Jhené say from the kitchen making me and Hassan laugh then we made our way to the kitchen to see the Chef standing by the table. The man looked around Hassan's age and he also looked like he was Hispanic but mixed with European, his eyes were hazel and it showed more under the chandelier that was above the table.

"Hello, Carlos, " Hassan before giving him a hug.

"Wassup, man. Long time no see." Carlos smiled as he pulled away from the hug.

"No, man. Sorry for that but right now is a special occasion for us." Hassan said as he looked at us.

"Who is this beautiful lady right here?" Carlos asked as he looked at me.

"This is my girlfriend." Hassan smiled at me then Carlos grabbed my hand and kissed it. I can feel Adesh's eyes on the guy watching him carefully and I started to chuckle.

"Nice to meet you." Carlos nodded and I smiled at him as Hassan pulled out the chair for me to sit on.

"Nice to meet you too," I said and Hassan sat down next to me.

"Well, let's get this started!" Carlos clapped his hands together before going over to the stove.

↤↤↤↤↤ ..... ↦↦↦↦↦

As Adesh and I were talking, I can smell the delicious food fill my nostrils. Hassan and Jhené were talking about politics while Adesh and I were talking about movies particularly the movie John Wick. I found a lot of things in common with Adesh, he likes sushi and action movies he's not really into romantic films but he loves comedy. He travels the world on a daily basis and loves to go to London to stay with his aunties, that's why he has a British accent. He told me about his father and how he died, I felt bad that someone he loved died off of cancer. My grandfather died of cancer as well and his death hurt me to the core because we were really close and the fact that he was taken away at the age of eighty-one was beyond me. But after a while I got used to him not being at home with my grandmother and telling stories because my father was like him in a way, God I miss my father.

"Dinner will be ready in three minutes!" Carlos exclaimed and we all got excited.

"I can't wait," Adesh rubbed his hands together.

"I wonder what he's making," I said.

"I wonder too," Adesh said before turning around.

"Right?!" I smiled and he nodded.

"Do you miss Nigeria?" Adesh asked.

"Oh, every day," I said

"I would like to go there someday." Adesh smiled and I nodded slowly.

"It's beautiful, really beautiful." I started to reminisce about my mom taking me to go horseback riding for my 18th birthday.

"The food is ready!" Carlos shouted as he placed the plates in front of us. All of our plates had lobster, rice, chicken, and lemon garlic butter shrimp. The smell alone was delicious, it made me want to faint. After Hassan said a prayer over the food, we all dig in.

"Thank you so much for having me again, Hassan. Enjoy the food everyone!" Carlos said as he washed his hands in the sink.

"No, thank you for making me this." Jhené smiled at the chef as he made his way toward the table again.

"The pleasure was all mine, see you again," Carlos said, he looked at me as he said the last part before walking away from us. Adesh stood up quickly as he wiped his mouth with the cloth.

"Where are you going, Adesh?" I asked and he looked at me.

"To handle some business," Adesh said before walking away.

"What's going on with him?" Hassan looked at Me and Jhené.

"I don't know." I shrugged my shoulders then Adesh came back with a smile on his face, we all looked at me curiously and confused.

"What happened just now?" Jhené asked Adesh as he was about to put some chicken into his mouth with the fork.

"I had to tell him, who Eve belongs to." Adesh shrugged nonchalantly and I looked at Hassan who was just confused as me.

"What does that mean, Adesh?" Hassan asked fixing himself in the chair.

"Carlos was looking at Eve in an inappropriate way so...I had to check him real quick." Adesh said while chewing on his food.

"When?" Hassan asked.

"Just now, tell him, Eve." Adesh motioned for me to look at Hassan.

"Tell Hassan what? I didn't think he was looking at me in an inappropriate way." I denied while looking at Adesh.

"But you did feel uncomfortable by it, so I had to check him," Adesh said in a stern voice then Jhené started giggling.

"What?" Adesh looked at Jhené who was covering her mouth.

"I can take a man who treats my sister as his own." Jhené smiled as she rubbed Adesh's back then we started to laugh, me especially. I rubbed Adesh hand making him look up at me and smile kindly.

"Some double date this is, right?" Hassan chuckled at me before he started to eat his food again.

"Right." I smiled drinking some of the champagne in my glass.

"You have to tell us exactly what you said to Carlos because this is hilarious," Jhené said between giggles.

"Yeah, you do. Because that's a friend of mine." Hassan said in a serious voice but he was smiling then Adesh started to smirk before he began his story.

"Well.....
