Guide-sama: "Are you leaving? What if someone sees you?"
"Don't be nervous, Guide-sama. Since there are no maids or guards. No one could see me leaving. And based on the plot, there's the capital after five to ten minutes of walking from here."
Yanarym looked for a scissor and even encountered a spider crawling out of the drawers on the cabinet. Which almost caused her to shriek. Those spiders were small, thankfully though.
Guide-sama: "You could buy some more disguises on the market. You should hide your hair and your eyes."
"All right."
She would not be even surprised if she saw a snake in here.
The room was so messy.
She put the black cloth on the wide bed and cut it according to her size. Since she had no time to sew the fabric she just went to the mirror and wrapped it around her body.
"I need a clip around the neckline."
She went back to the wardrobe to look for a hair clip or something that could fasten the hood area.
Yanarym looked in the mirror and saw herself dressed like a suspicious person in the dark alley but on the good side, her physical traits as royalty were hidden nicely.
When she was satisfied with her poor artisanship, she remembered Guide-sama's reminder earlier that she could buy a disguise from the outside.
Guide-sama: "You don't have the currency to use."
"Is there a pawn shop?"
Guide-sama: "Yes."
"Good enough." Yanarym walked to the second shelf where the jewelry and an assortment of expensive-looking decorative items were stored. "Let's bring the gold earrings. "
Guide-sama: "All right."
"I'm ready. Pawnshop, then food. Then, planning. Let's go."
Guide-sama: "Aren't you going to change your sleepwear?"
"I have no clothes that would fit my size. Those are kid's clothing."
Guide-sama: "You should buy clothes first after pawning the earrings."
"No, I will eat after pawning. Then, buy clothes. Then, planning. Is that good for you?"
Guide-sama: "Fair."
Yanarym could easily waddle out of her chamber room in the palace and walked freely in the forest. She had no time to relish the castle and its haunted ambiance and appearance.
She was too busy thinking of what kind of food she should be having once she arrived at the diner.
That was the only thing that motivated her to take each step despite feeling that her body wanted to get dragged by gravity.
It took her almost fifteen minutes of walking in the forest because she was losing energy she had. When she heard the bustling sound of people, she knew she was almost in the capital.
Just more struggles and she was out of the woods.
She went straight to the pawn shop following Guide-sama's instructions. It took her three pawnshops before she could finally pawn her earrings because she was always kicked out. There she realized, she had to buy her disguise first.
She hurried to some shop that sells wigs and contact lenses. Contact lenses did not exist here so what she bought were magical glasses that had lenses that could hindsight her eyes.
After that, she went to the most popular eatery.
Finally!
She walked to the widest table because she knew she would order a lot.
As soon as she seated, a woman who was wearing an apron with mahogany brown curly hair glared at her.
"Please, leave. You can't be here," the woman said with a frown.
'What the hell—? I just took a seat!'
"What do you mean—"
"Beggar, leave."
"I'll pay," Yanarym said.
"Leave here before we use force to drag you out. The other customers are uncomfortable with your presence."
"I can pay," Yanarym said once more but the woman seemed not to hear her.
"Get out!"
Yanarym was being kicked out again because she looked like she had no money. It was not her fault that she had to pick the shadiest attire that fitted her!
"I'll pay first!" She burst and slammed her pouch of gold on the table.
The woman looked at her, baffled.
"Give me your entire menu, I'll pay for it!"
She meant not to get angry or anything but— she was so hungry and felt like collapsing. She could not be kicked out and look for another shop again. She was too tired for that.
'Let's just pay now and think about anything later.'
"Serve me anything first then just bring me the meat later. I really have to eat now."
"Y-yes, Young Lady."
The woman who was taking orders became nice all of sudden.
The waitress left in a hurry to serve her the food after peaking at the pouch Yanarym threw earlier.
While waiting, she looked around, but her attention was on the food that the other customers were eating.
It was a variety of cuisines. Fish, meat, vegetables, and such. Some were unfamiliar dishes, but they all looked appetizing and delicious.
Her mouth was watering.
"Here is your appetizer, Young Lady."
"Thank you," Yanarym calmed down and picked up the spoon and fork.
The woman that was serving her even placed a jug of water and even poured Yanarym on the wooden cup.
It was amazing to see how much money could change a person.
She ordered a lot of food and when she had her fill, she remained eating after finishing her meal.
She asked the woman if they were selling paper and pens. Of course, Yanarym knew they were not. Because she was paying them big, the woman said that she would buy paper and a pen for Yanarym. She just smiled innocently and handed the coins to the lady.
"While you're at it, can you buy me a newspaper as well?"
"Sure, can do, Miss!" The woman smiled ardently and left her with another plate of dessert.
Yanarym with a full stomach began to look around to observe the surroundings. She noticed when she arrived at the capital that everyone was wearing familiar clothing from her initial world. She felt like she time-travel to Spanish Colonial because of the style of clothes that most people wore, and the dwellings she had seen.
Now that her mind was clear, she felt like she was really in the past period. The eatery itself was designed with thick stucco walls, there was no window, the foundation of the building was made of wood and the roof was made of red clay. Most of the furniture, unlike those she had in her bedroom in the palace, was mostly made of wood.
