The last time I saw her, she was just a little fifteen years old wolf girl, so pure and innocent. But now, her aura had changed so much. She was just more like a fox than a wolf. Dressing in a thin fabric, her flawless body was dancing every time she walked.
"Conrad?" Stella nudged me, but I was so angry that I didn't realize I was marching toward that girl.
Grabbing her hand, I yank her out of the room. The tray she brought was falling on the ground, making a lot of noise. But I didn't care.
I was passing my brother when he smirked. Not now, I don't have time for him.
I went outside, still holding her hand tightly and I knew how shocked she was as she didn't try to pull her hand out of me.
I brought her to the back of the garden, trapping her against the wall. As I looked again at her surprised face, she was really nothing but beautiful. Even with the scar that lined below her left eye.
"What are you doing here?" I was so angry that this girl had the audacity to come to my turf.
It was like something snapped in her because her expression changed into full of hostility. She pushed me away from her and slapped me on my face.
I touch my check, ready to kill her at the spot. "What was that for?"
She said back, "It's just the first thing I want to do when I finally see you."
This girl seriously had no clue. The last man who touched me without my permission was already buried under the ground.
My voice was hard when I said this. "This is the only first and last time I let it pass, Eliana. You better not joke with me. Now tell me, What. Are. You. Doing. Here?"
"You seriously do not know?" Her eyes were no doubt full of malice when she saw me. How dare she!
It was supposed to be me. The one who hated her with everything of my being. How dare she look at me with that gaze. Because in truth, this girl had something to do with the death of my mom.
I grabbed her neck in full force, which would leave a bruise that wouldn't fade for days. She struggled taking her breath with both of her hands clawing my arms, about to turn into her wolf. But I'm not letting her.
She was about to pass out as her eyes were shaking unfocused. That's when I loosed my grip on her, throwing her to the side.
Her body was falling as she coughed so hard, trying to turn her breath to normal.
I got closer to her, squatting down and gripping her chin so she could look at me. "Now tell me Eliana, What are you doing here?"
Even at her almost death moment, she still had a fire in her. This was what she didn't have ten years ago.
"You have to ask your brother about that." She said, gritting her teeth.
This girl still had that enchanting hazel color on her eyes. And the longer I looked into them, the deeper I was dragged into her fire. How could she be this attractive?
She also had an unfamiliar scar below her left eye. I touched the thin line of it with my thumb. And even in this situation, I still wanted to kiss that beautiful scar.
Yes, it's beautiful. That thin line only made her eyes stand out more.
But It doesn't matter. She's here and I wanted to know everything. "I want your words, Eliana. Now and Clear!"
"He bought me, Conrad! You bunch piece of shit!" She screamed, and if it's not because I trained to control my patience, I would probably snap her neck right away.
No wolf in my turf would ever raise their voice in front of me.
"Lower your head!" I released her chin roughly.
As I stood, I nudged her with my shoe. "Tell me everything."
Even after this, I thought her pride would sink so deep. But she surprised me even more. She looked directly into my eyes, not cowering a bit. Even after the strangle before.
"I told you to lower your head!" I nudged her again with my shoes. And this girl was still not moving her head.
She was about to say something when my brother appeared on the side. "I'm not appreciating you touching what's mine, Conrad."
"Mine?" As soon as he said that word, I almost saw red.
Keegan walked closer, helping Eliana to stand. "She's mine. She's a slave I bought yesterday."
I knew he acquired a new slave. Father was wondering since It was out of his usual habit for Kegaan. He never had interest in slaves, and I'm not gonna meddle with his business. But this was different.
"Do you know what you're doing, Keegan?" I asked him.
He ignored me, inspecting the wound on Eliana's neck. That's when I saw the collar slave attached to her. "Go back inside, Continue your job."
I gripped my hand and my knuckles turned so white when I saw Eliana said nothing and went back inside. She didn't even snap at him and just followed his order like a king.
I didn't know what happened with me but I didn't like that. Not even a bit. This was the first time in my life I wanted to kill my brother.
Keegan glanced at me, "Don't look at me like that brother, Let's continue the dinner and we could talk later."
- Eliana -
I was running away from him. I'm sure, my neck right now was in a shade of blue. My eyes were red, and I couldn't control my breath.
He was there! Conrad was there! Gosh.. he even talked to me like he hated me. How could he look at me with a gaze like that?
He was the one who left me ten years ago. He was the one that got away and broke every promise he made.
I thought my killer heart had died. But turned out it was beating so fast for him.
