The materials on Anping's list were common, but only in relative terms. For ordinary soul masters, they were extremely rare and valuable.
Anping also needed a large quantity of them, which made him a big customer in the eyes of the receptionist. She hoped to earn a generous commission by completing this order.
"It may take some time to get everything you need. Please wait in the reception room for a while." She said as she escorted Anping to the VIP reception room.
She left Anping there and hurried to fetch the materials he requested.
Soon, there was a knock on the door of the reception room. Anping was surprised. Hadn't the receptionist just left? Was the work efficiency of Skysea City so high?
"Come in." He said, still puzzled.
"Why are you here?" A familiar voice exclaimed as the door opened.
Anping, who had been reading the newspaper, looked up and saw not only the receptionist but also someone he knew: Tang Wulin.
Anping said calmly: "I didn't expect to see you here. What brings you here?"
Tang Wulin had come to Skysea City for a mission from Shrek Academy. He had agreed to take it without hesitation after seeing the number of contribution points it offered.
He had run into Anping by chance. He needed some metal to make his battle armor, but he didn't want to spend too many contribution points at Shrek Academy. So he decided to buy it in Skysea City while he was on his mission.
But to his dismay, when he asked the receptionist, she told him that the metal he wanted had just been sold out. He showed her his badge of the Blacksmithing Association, hoping to get some priority. Then she informed him that the person who had bought the metal was still in the reception room.
Tang Wulin pondered for a moment. The other party must have bought so much metal to make a battle armor. Maybe he could strike a bargain with him. He was quite confident in his identity as a fifth-level blacksmith. The only problem was that he lacked the spiritual power to forge.
But he was surprised when the receptionist led him into the reception room. The person he saw there was none other than Anping.
The receptionist explained: "Dear guest, this guest here is also a fifth-level blacksmith. He needs to buy some metal too. But because you bought such a large amount, the metal he wants is out of stock. So he asked to see you. He hopes to make a deal with you."
As he spoke, the receptionist's voice grew lower and lower. He knew he had done something improper. But he couldn't afford to offend the other guest, who was a fifth-level blacksmith and a student of Shrek Academy. He had no choice but to bring him to Anping and ask for his opinion.
Anping didn't make things difficult for him. He nodded and said, "Okay, there's nothing else here. You can go out and get what I need as soon as possible."
The receptionist sighed in relief and quickly and carefully left the room.
Anping watched the receptionist leave, then turned to Tang Wulin and said, "Please have a seat and tell me what you want to say."
Tang Wulin didn't beat around the bush. He sat down across from Anping and said confidently, "Anping, I guess you bought all these rare metals to make a battle armor. I want to propose a deal to you. I can help you forge them into finished metal, but you have to give me some rare metals in return."
"I'm sure that as a fifth-level blacksmith, I can help you forge these metals into high-quality products. You'll be satisfied with the result. And you'll also gain the friendship of a blacksmith who might become a master craftsman someday."
Anping glanced at Tang Wulin and picked up the teacup. He took a sip and said calmly, "Who told you I bought these metals to make armor? You can leave now. I don't need a blacksmith's friendship."
Tang Wulin was stunned. "What? Why did you buy so many rare metals if not for making Battle Armour?" He had assumed that Anping, at his age, could only be interested in building Battle Armour, and he had spoken with confidence.
Anping said, "Why do you think metal is only for making battle armor? Can't I buy a soul guide instead?"
"Soul guide?" Tang Wulin repeated, then remembered that Anping had graduated from the Sun and Moon Royal Soul Master Academy.
The Sun and Moon Royal Soul Master Academy, also known as the Sun and Moon Royal Soul Guide Academy, had a different approach from other academy. Even though most soul masters pursued becoming Battle Armour masters after the emergence of Battle Armours, Sun Moon Academy had not given up on teaching soul tools.
Tang Wulin thought for a moment, then said, "But even to make soul guides, you need to forge the metals. I can help you with that, as long as you give me a portion of the metals after they are forged."
"No, I can do it myself. If you have nothing else to say, you can go." Anping gestured to the door.
Tang Wulin felt helpless. He had not expected to meet such a stubborn person when he came to buy some metals. Anping seemed determined to shut him out, so he had no choice but to leave the reception room.
For Anping, this was just a minor incident, but for Tang Wulin it was a big problem. If he couldn't get the rare metals he needed from the Skysea City Auction House, he would have to ask his teacher for help. Otherwise, he would delay his progress of becoming a battle armor master.
When he returned to their residence, Xie Xie, Ye Xinglan, and Xu Lizhi surrounded him and asked if he had bought the rare metals he needed.
Tang Wulin handed back their bank cards and explained with a sigh, "No, someone else bought almost all the metals in the Skysea City Auction House. We'll have to look elsewhere."
"Someone else? Who? Didn't you use the name of Shrek Academy?" Xie Xie asked in disbelief.
Knowing the identity of a Shrek student usually earned respect from anyone, anywhere.
But Tang Wulin felt helpless. "It didn't matter this time. I even showed him my fifth-level blacksmith badge. But Anping is not only a member of the Spirit Pagoda, he's also a graduate of Sun Moon Academy. He didn't care about my name or my Academy."
Xie Xie gritted his teeth. "Anping again! Why does he keep showing up? It's like he's following us everywhere."
He had good reason to be angry. They had nothing but trouble from Anping. The first time they met, he had injured them badly. The second time, he had caused Xu Xiaoyan to drop out of Academy. And now, he had bought all the rare metals they needed for themselves.
