Gu Yuena and Di Tian looked at him with incredulous expressions, as if he had lost his mind. They were on the edge of the forest, and it would take them days to reach the Lake of Life on foot.

Anping realized how foolish he sounded and quickly explained: "This is my first time in a real forest. I'm curious about it. Can we explore a bit?"

He had never been in a natural forest before. The Spirit Ascension Platform of the Spirit Pagoda was a simulated environment, and it felt unreal. Gu Yuena sighed. "Fine, we can walk, as long as you don't mind wasting time."

She didn't object, so Di Tian didn't either. He followed them as a guard, ready to fend off any soul beasts that might attack them. He and Gu Yuena were the only ones who knew her true identity. The other soul beasts were unaware of her presence.

The air in the Star Forest was much fresher than in the human cities. Di Tian watched Anping and Gu Yuena chat and laugh as they walked. He noticed that Gu Yuena had changed a lot since she left the forest. She seemed more lively and cheerful.

After several days of walking, they finally reached the Lake of Life. It was nothing like the lake Anping remembered. It was just an ordinary lake, with no special features.

Anping looked at it with curiosity, wondering what made it so important.

Di Tian said, "Don't bother. The Lake of Life is no different from any other lake now. It's just a name."

He spoke with a calm and emotionless tone, but Anping sensed a hint of bitterness. He remembered the reason why the lake had lost its power, and he felt ashamed. He said apologetically, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you."

Di Tian said, "I know you didn't. And I don't blame you. I just hope you won't betray the Lord in the future. Or I will kill you."

"There's a strange sea area near North Sea City. It's full of destructive and life energy. It seems to have something to do with the gods. It felt very dangerous, so I didn't explore more."

"The Titan Ape and the Azure Bull Python that were once offered to Poseidon might have been protected by him, but I couldn't find any trace of them."

Anping said, "Do you really want to hear my opinion?"

Gu Yuena rolled her eyes and snapped, "Just spit it out!"

Di Tian also looked at Anping with curiosity. He wondered how much Anping knew about what he had said.

Anping said, "The Dragon Clan Cemetery is in the Star Luo Empire, that's true. But the Tang Sect has taken it over and uses it as a testing site for their disciples. The sea area near North Sea City is where the God of Life and the God of Destruction fell, and some of their original power landed on a small island on Douluo Planet..."

Gu Yuena gasped and interrupted him. "What did you say? The God of Life and the God of Destruction are dead? How can that be? They're the two God Kings."

Anping explained, "The God of Destruction expanded the God Realm too much, weakening its barriers. The God Realm couldn't withstand the turbulence of time and space. The God of Life and the God of Destruction sacrificed themselves to stop it."

Di Tian's voice was deep and harsh. "Are you from the God Realm?"

He glared at Anping with suspicion and hostility. He hated the God Realm and everything it stood for. If Anping was one of them, he would have to kill him. The soul beast clan couldn't afford any more trouble.

Gu Yuena spoke up for Anping. "Don't worry, Di Tian. Anping is not from the God Realm. He has nothing to do with them. He came to Douluo Star because of the turbulence of time and space."

Di Tian realized he had been too hasty. He was still confused about how Anping knew so much, but he trusted Gu Yuena's words. She would have sensed it if Anping was from the God Realm. He apologized to Anping. "Sorry, I got carried away."

"It's okay." Anping shrugged. He understood Di Tian's resentment towards the divine world. He continued, "Also, a generation of Shrek's seven monsters went to explore that sea area. Their bodies were destroyed by the destructive power, but their souls survived because of the life energy. They gained some control over the life and destructive energy on that island. Since then, that place has become a training ground for Shrek Academy."

Di Tian was amazed by Anping's knowledge. He asked, "So, do you know what happened in Skysea City?"

Anping nodded. "That was me. I caused that vision when I broke through. It's nothing to worry about."

Di Tian looked at Gu Yuena and saw that she didn't contradict him. He decided to let it go.

Gu Yuena sighed. "The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, the Dragon Clan Cemetery, and now this. Why does everything seem to be connected to the Tang Sect and Shrek Academy?"
