11. Ready to show off

"Li Na do you accept Luke Coleman as your father?" A kind old judge looked at her through his thick glasses. His warm smile made Li Na become calm.

"Of course I do. He loves mama very much. And he loves me. And we will have a happy family." She blinked at him with big eyes and recounted everything with her fingers in the air while looking at him cutely.

He found this child so amazingly sweet that he chuckled. "Yes, yes. He is good to you and mama. Then your wish shall be granted."

He could see genuine happiness in their faces and smiled. "Li Na, from today on you are Luke Coleman's daughter. Mr Coleman, Li Na will be your child from today on. Please be good to her from now on."

"Thank you, your honour. Even if you didn't mention it I would do that. Li Na is such an amazing child. I am honoured to become her father." Luke Coleman smiled at Li Na and picked her up. "Now, shall we have some fun? I took a few days off from work."

Li Na hugged his neck and cutely blinked at him. "Disneyland is not far..."

He looked at Li Jiang and saw her laughing. "Disneyland it is then."

For the first time in both lifetimes, she had an amazing amount of fun. This life she wanted to live properly and happily.

When they got back home, a few days after adoption, she saw the two people happily preparing for the big wedding.

At first, they planned a small wedding calling just a few people. Bit then Luke Coleman changed his mind and chose to make it big. Literally...

All TV stations were booming about the wedding and its preparations. A CEO of a huge conglomerate is marrying the daughter of a famous company. At least there won't be stories about her using him.

But stories about his past lovers became large over the internet. Unfortunately for them, he could find proof against the allegations. Not only that, but his lawyers also did an amazing job with contra suing.

Li Jiang just sat there and laughed until tears, as she read some of the stories. "I don't know what is it with all these women and the lobster. Among these twenty-three, eighteen had lobster with you, three had a sea plate assortment eating before jumping into bed. And two even said they had breakfast with shrimps with you. Stupid as it seems. You have a shellfish allergy. Tsk tsk."

Li Na rolled her eyes. "Mom, if they knew him that well, they would know that. He has a few other allergies as well, making him not like many dishes. I read in that book from that place that there are many ways to strengthen the health and get rid of smaller ailments."

She took the copy of the book and showed it to her. "If we had these herbs, we could make him a tea that would make him less prone to get an allergy attack. Not many know about it. But I fear the enemies might find out and use it against him."

Li Jiang nodded. "It would be nice if we could get it. But child, I fear that this door would take some of your strength." She had no idea how the use of power would react to her body. Or if it had some side effect...

"Mom, don't worry. Somehow I feel weak after using it, but after I regain my strength I feel like my power becomes stronger. Somehow like if I use it more often, the stronger my ability is. Does that makes sense?"

Li Jiang smiled at her. "I read some novels and books. It said it should be carefully used, but indeed it is like training, the more you do it, the stronger the power becomes. But, you are just a small child, don't overdo it."

"Of course not. After I start loosing power the door to the other world just closes down. It seems it has some safety lock or something." Li Na smiled as she explained.

Next full moon is the next day, so both of them wanted to see what they could prepare for them. Li Na remembered the young man munching on the chocolate cookies and this time prepared a bunch of it and more.

Li Jiang saw a huge package filled with all kinds of things and shook her head in wonder. "Are you feeding an army?"

Li Na chuckled. "Mom, they saved your life. We must show our gratitude somehow. Are my clothes ready?"

This time she wanted to greet them in beautiful clothes that she saw in old storybooks. Even Li Jiang and Luke Coleman chose to put some old fashioned clothes on and wait for the time.

They told him about everything after long thought and he accepted it without blinking. He was actually quite excited. Talking to some people from the parallel universe, who wouldn't be excited?

Looking at him nervously checking his uniform again and again, Li Jiang chuckled. He chose to wear beautiful clothes from his grandfather's times. Actually, he came from an old aristocratic family, but never used the original name.

Li Na saw his nervosity. "Pops, calm down. We are not meeting their king or Emperor. Maybe there is just that one boy there. If you are too excited he might get scared."

Luke Coleman calmed down. "Good. I will just sit down."

Li Jiang patted his hand as he sat next to her. She had a wide-sleeved, multi-layered dress with a beautiful floral print and a few accessories in her hair. Li Na chose a cute dress she found on the internet this time.

Her hair was in buns and beautiful butterfly accessories added to the cuteness. Her dress was similar to Li Jiang's but was white with pink flowers and multicoloured butterflies flying around.

Actually, she saw this manga dress a while ago. Perfect for a small child.

Nowadays you can buy so many pretty things with very good quality over the internet.

She closed her eyes as she could feel the power in her opening up and as she opened her eyes a shiny window could be seen.

But what she saw through the window made her almost laugh.
