04. Scary youth

While Li Na just shrugged off the encounter, the young man stood from the other side and stared at the book with huge eyes. But then looked at the cute plate with pink flowers and a golden border and the cake in it. Not many people knew that, but he loved sweets.

Smelling the sweetness from the cake, he slowly used the strange thing in his hand and slowly enjoyed it, bit by bit, of that fruit but stopped as he looked at the fruit closer. Seeds? If he could cultivate the fruit again, maybe he had a chance to eat it in future again?

He carefully picked out seed by seed and took out the handkerchief, carefully putting the seeds inside. He almost wanted to throw up and get rest of the fruits out his body but knew that it makes no sense, so he just ate rest of the fruit and licked clean the strange-looking plate.

Carefully he put the plate and that metal thing into his small bag and slowly walked out the great library. He stared at the huge book and looked for someone to ask them about it, but no one was near when he is inside. He really hated people bothering him when he reads, but this time...

Suddenly one of his servants came as he saw him coming out. ''Master, General is calling for you to the main hall. There is a big problem.'' Not thinking much about it, he took the book with him and entered the great hall.

With a bow, he greeted a bunch of elders that stared at him with a smile. ''He grew up well these few years.'' They just smiled at him, but then looked at each other meaningfully.

His grandfather proudly nodded and pointed at the garden outside. ''The elders brought few people, go and have fun with them.''

''Fun? Me? Are you sure?'' His smile meant nothing good, so his grandfather coughed and just pointed his finger at the young man's nose.

''I meant normal fun, like other people. You are too serious for your age. Go and make friends.'' He actually hoped that some of the girls that came, would be of his taste but he knew his grandson's problem with sleazy people, so he brought people from scholarly and noble families. He hoped that at least those children won't make him annoyed.

''Wang Weimin, its time for you to go out. Again some book... what is it this time?'' His grandfather was about to snatch the strange looking thing in his hands when he met his grandson's eyes that made him stop. Does it seem as it is something that others shouldn't see?

''I will leave the book in your study.'' Wang Weimin accentuated the words, as a general study was filled with secret documents and was heavily guarded.

''Do that. And go out after that.'' He was suddenly curious, but couldn't just leave his guests so he went back to his seat and sighed. ''This child is too much into studying. I fear that his life would float by him and he might end up alone, surrounded by books.''

''It is good to be educated.'' One of the scholars nodded his head with a smile. But then his smile faltered as he remembered something. ''But he has a too strong presence. After coming back from the battlefield he still has this scary presence. I fear...''

His grandfather was actually happy from one side about the aura his grandson had. It kept enemy at bay and he gained needed respect form soldiers even tho he was just a child. But the words these people are saying in front of him...

'' I fear with time his presence will get only stronger. Will he be able to control it around a woman?'' Another man chimed in as he feared his daughter's future. If she is scared of her husband, wouldn't her life be too stressful?

''Then he must find himself a wife that can handle his presence and like him as he is.'' General Wang Weisheng just shrugged his shoulders. There is a long future for him. He must not marry this young anyway. If none of these people is willing to have such marriage with him, then it's their loss. He knew that his grandson actually had a good heart. He just didn't know how to express himself.

Seeing that he just accepted their words the men were astonished and relieved at the same time. Now they can go home and they can plan their children's future, without two scary people. Both were scary... the grandson and grandfather. They always wondered how this old geezer found himself such a beautiful and caring wife.

Lee Meili was sitting in the garden with her daughter in law and watched the group of girls and boys playing various games with a smile. But her smile held a hint of mockery. She could clearly see that all the women were worried that their precious grandson would like one of them when he appeared.

Luckily, Wang Weimin just stood there and just stared at their happy playing. Bored. All over his face was written that he was bored, even while looking at them. One of the girls looked at the good looking young man and approached him carefully, making her mother giddy.

Lee Maili saw the woman's face paling, as she saw her child approaching her grandson. Do they think he is a ferocious monster that would eat their children alive? She had actually good temperament, but she felt like blowing up when she saw that. Her daughter in law and Weiming's mother, Song Luli, just patted her hand and smiled at her brightly.

''Isn't it better?'' Only that sentence made her relax. Yes. It is better as such people are not worthy of him. They dare to look down at him only because he has such a presence in is young years. She saw Wang Weimin just giving one glance at the girl that froze immediately and turned around to run away. Yes, definitely not worth of him...
