Chapter 6 Unconscious

*Snow POV*

Once darkness overtook me I lost all my senses, But I could see a faint glow in the distance. I concentrated on it and it began to get brighter until it was all I could see. Then it dulled and became a window of sorts.

I could see Michael standing next to a woman I have never seen before. Long red-brown hair with eyes similar to mine but more green than I. She was average height with a slim build she wore a black dress with a V-line cut showing her ample breasts. There was a pendant with a green stone settled perfectly between her mounds giving off an aura of power. She was beautiful, perfect in everyway. My wolf Celeste was waking up, she spoke to me for the first time in years.

" We need her."

Was all she said before the image changed and there was fire burning everywhere. The whole world was on fire and that perfect woman was standing in the middle of the blast surrounded by black forces of darkness all around her. Michael was there too but he was standing on the outer edge of the circle of fire almost like he was caught in some unknown force keeping him from getting any closer.

Darkness fell again and all was black.

I am not sure how long I was out but I could now hear the sounds of beeps from what I think is Hospital machines. I tried to open my eyes but they were heavy and my muscles felt weak. My whole body ached like I had battled an entire pack of wolves by myself. This doesn't make sense. What is wrong with me? I heard the door open and finally opened my eyes. All I could see was white light everywhere. I quickly closed my eyes to avoid the sting of the lights.

"Ah, your awake thank the Goddess. We were all so worried. Here let me turn the lights off to help your eyes adjust." I could hear the flipping of a switch and opened my eyes again this time I was able to see my surroundings.

"There that's better isn't it. You gave us all quite a fright. We have been working around the clock to find out what happened. Patrols have stepped up running round the clock. The human you had with you is still unconscious in the next room. I found some various berries and mushrooms on his person but none that would cause harm. I am sorry to say this Alpha but I have no idea what is wrong with him or you for that matter." The doctor was standing with downcast eyes looking remorseful. I could tell he was on edge and I meant to get to the bottom of it But right now I needed to see Michael.

" I understand Doc, Um..can you help me up I am still rather weak and I need to take care of a few things. "

Doc rushed to my side to help me stand. I was grateful for his help and for the respect he showed me as he kept his eyes averted making me realise that I was wearing nothing but the hospital gown that was hanging open in the front. Wolves aren't ones for being shy we have all seen much of each other for shifting take a its toll on our clothes. But as Alpha and a female Alpha at that Doc was being respectful and for that I was more than thankful. However, I did not care much or put much thought into covering myself as I went to find Michael.

As Doc had said he was in the room adjacent to mine so I didn't have to go far which was good because my body felt weak I don't think I would have made it far on my own.As As I entered Michael's room I noticed two things. One was that Michael was chained to the bed like a prisoner and second was that the strong smell of blood.

"Michael...."

*Michael POV*

I awoke to the sound of my name. My body felt like I had been through battle and my head felt like daggers were penetrating my skull. I tried to speak but my voice was only a croak from dryness and I immediately felt how thirsty I was. I opened my eyes to find Snow holding a glass of water just in front of my lips which I accepted and downed before I tried to speak again.

"What happened?" was all I could think to ask. I still did not know where I was or if I was in danger but seeing as I was handcuffed to the bed I knew I needed to be on alert even though everything in me told me I could trust this woman.

"I'm so sorry... I'm not sure what happened but I plan to find out."

I tried to reach for the stone in my pocket to make sure it was still safe but the restraints I was in gave very little movement. Seeing this Snow reached over and snapped the metal chain like a twig. She worked her way around the bed and snapped me out of the restraints so that I could move freely again. I reached in my pocket and found the stone missing and started to panic when there was a loud and menacing growl from the doorway.

Snow abruptly turned to see who dared growl at her and It was the Beta James. He held out a dagger pointed directly at Snow's heart. She gave a powerful Growl and her voice boomed through the small room and down the hallway through the open door with authority and power.

"How dare you raise a weapon at your commanding officer. I am your Alpha and you will treat me as such."

The man did not make any sounds or movement. He did not appear to back down at all. He held eye contact with her and he took a step towards her with the dagger still held steady aimed directly for her heart.
