Chapter 17

"Xian, have you taken the seasonings?" Ling asked as he wore his light blue shirt over white tee and blue half jeans.

"Yes! I have anything else?" Xian said as he came in the living room wearing the same clothes as Ling but of different shades in black, along with a small backpack in his hand.

"Great! Now let's leave for the riverside."

"You have a werid habit of celebrating everything, don't you?"

"Come on, you are free from all those medicines and check ups, of course it's a thing to celebrate."

"But why riverside?"

"You will know it, now hurry up." Ling said as he fastened his steps.

When they reached the river side, the place was full of green grass and crystal clear river. Few rabbits could be seen running around, while on the trees birds chripped with their little ones. Few houses could be seen at the other side of the shore and a small bridge joining both the side at a little distance made of bamboo.

"Wow! This place hasn't changed~" Ling said as he opened his arms, closed his eyes and took deep breath while Xian placed a mat on the grass and sat in it looking at Ling with a smile.

"Looks like, celebration and all is just an excuse, someone just wanted to goof around the river." Xina said as Ling sat beside him.

"You can say so~ But don't worry I will make sure that you enjoy as much as I do."

"And how will you do that?" Xian asked as he came closer to him and Ling backed a bit.

"By---By making you your favourite noodles! Now since you are completely fine. You can have them without a worry." Ling said as he held the backup and smiled at him.

"Now that's something worth accepting. You better make it extra special and a lot today." Xian said as he grinned.

"I will, but before that...how about catching some fish? If we are lucky enough we might as well have grilled fish with noodles today."

"Sure then let's go!" Xian said as he stood up and quickly walked towards the shore.

"Now who is the one getting more excited." Ling thought as he smiled at Xian who was acting like a kid, for whom everything was new and interesting.

"Why are standing there so cluelessly? The dish won't come to you on their own, you know that right."

"I know but...I...I don't know how to catch a fish..especially without a fishing rode or other equipments."

"No worries, I will teach you how to~" Ling said as he held his hand and both of them walked into the water. As soon as the cold water touched thier feet, all their stress and tiredness seems to have vanished and they felt fully fresh and energetic.

"Just stand here still and look down, whenever you see a fish passing through just catch it with your hand, but don't touch the unknown and the one you find weird. Some of them can even be poisonous."

Xian after listening to Ling's words nodded his head and went towards a silent area to catch fish, Ling too did the same thing.

"Ling, are you sure this river has fishes? We have been standing here for so long yet leave fish I can't even see a frog here."

"Xian, be paitent, will you? It had only been 20 minutes and--" *Splash*

"You throat must be dry because of all the talking how about some water?" Xian said as he splashed water at Ling again.

"You really want to play like this? Fine then! Let play!" Ling said as he started to splash him too.

"Weak! I will show you how it is done." Xian said as he came towards Ling who was splashing him with water nonstop.

"What are you doing!?" Ling asked in surprise as Xian effortlessly picked him up bridal style,

"Guess~"

"Noo Xian, you can't I didn't bring another set of clothes---"

*Splash!!*

"Too late~" Xian said as he smirked while Ling shivered and came out all wet and red.

"Xian!! What the hell!!" Ling cursed as he cleared his nose and ears, looking all mad at Xian.

"How does the water taste? Sweet or salty?" Xian asked still in the mood to tease him.

"...You really wanna know..." Ling asked as he moved close to him with a smile, Xian looked at face closely and then at his lips that looked all wet and shiny.

"I do..." Xian said as he touched Ling's face,

"...Then go taste it yourself!" Ling said and pushed him, Xian losing his balance fell into the water with a loud splash.

"Hahha! Suit you!!" Ling laughed as Xian came out of water all wet his hair covering his eyes making him look like a water monster.

"Childish~" Xian commented as he sliced back his hair and started squeezing water out of Tshirt, looking like a male God right out of a fictional book.

"He looked like a ghost not long ago and now he looks so-- Shit! What am I even thinking!! Ling!! He is a boy!"

"What with that expression of yours?"

"Huh? What?"

Xian looked at Ling's red ears and with a smirk he held his hand, "Let's go, or do you want to daydream about me more?"

"You! You think too much! Let's go!" Ling said as he removed his hands from his and walked towards the land.

"Atleast we have shirts to cover the upper body. But what about the lower ones?" Ling said as he wore his blue shirt and kept his white tshirt in the sun to dry.

"Open them do and let it dry, we both are boys there is nothing to be shy about."

"Yes but we are in public area, and if someone passes through and sees us roaming around with our naked butt, we will see the morning sun in jail." Ling said as he lit out the fire and sat beside him.

"Yeah right, but that would be adventurous." Xian said and Ling gave him a side eye.

"Anyway what about my noodles? And how are you going to make them here?"

"Well...*brings the backpack and pulls out two medium size containers* here are your noodles." Ling said with a sheepish smile.

Xian looked at the noodles and then at Ling with a questionable look,

"You only look navie, in reality you are too clever."

"Hehe, you want to eat or not."

"Want to! No matter what I got my noodles I am happy."

"I am happy too~"

"With you." Both of thought while looking at the orange sky and enjoyed thier peaceful evening.
