Escaping Paradise. . .

I heard giggling coming from around the corner "I found you, Lee!" They both laughed, I'm sure they would give anything to relive this moment if they knew what was in store for their future.

I would. . .

Lee's POV :9

"Lia it's dinnertime, time to come inside honey!" I saw the frown on Lia's face. "Aww, Lee I have to go home." She ran away without a word, and I was kind of sad until I heard leaves crinkle behind me, I was hugged from behind by my favorite person. "I love you lee bear, see you tomorrow for school!"

Before I could turn around, she was gone. Lia had always been fast, even in human form. But I bet it's nothing compared to her werewolf form. It's something we always talk about; most werewolves don't transform until their teenage years.

I couldn't wait, to transform into a wolf, and have the ability to mind link. My only fear was of the pain mentioned during the process of transformation. I wasn't quite sure if I was a fan. But if being with Lia in wolf form was possible, the pain was worth it 10,000 times.

We're only in kindergarten, and ever since I've been born Lia has been by my side. I can't remember a day without sharing a memory with her. She means so much to me, and why I'm not sure. During easy and tough times. . ."Well," I said sighing. "I guess since she's gone, I'll have to go back home."

In about 10 minutes, I was home. And unfortunately again, I walked inside to my parents arguing again. At this point, I was pretty used to it. So, I would go to sleep to escape reality. And that I did, the only thing I looked forward to was seeing Lia tomorrow.

Lia's POV :3

For some reason, my dad and mom were really quiet. They didn't welcome me home like usual. Instead, they fed and rushed me to bed which was unusual. So, I went to bed, only happy to know I would get to see Lee again. And so I went to sleep.

*yawns* "I'm so tired, I remember everything like it was yesterday. 13 years later and today is my last day of high school. I hope Lee has been good. . .I've seen him around school, but we haven't been able to talk after what happened.

That day. . .the night my mom called me inside I knew something was up. And that morning I wanted to go back to sleep, I wanted to wake up to only believe what I had been told was a nightmare. But unfortunately, it was more realistic than I thought.

That night was the last time I ever spoke to my best friend.

Lee's POV :9

"Ayooooo my manz, what about Stacey? You can't walk around this b* with no ho*es" "For one, chill on the language, and for 2 you know who I want."

"Yea, you want the female you've never spoken to, how smart is that?" he said. Nobody knew about me and Lee's current situation.

The only thing people knew was that if we were caught associating tell the principal. I've seen her around a lot and wanted to say something, but the cameras keep us in line. I know she misses me but I don't think she knows I miss her.

I wanted more than anything for her to know how I felt about her. But. . . I wasn't sure if she was just nice to me or if she had feelings for me. I say this because she's nice but it's hard for her to hide feelings for someone. And never have I ever seen her talk to any boys since that night.

Guys love the idea of talking to Lia, but they don't dare because of me. I once overheard about the guys in the gym locker wanting to do things to her and I flipped. It was the first time my wolf introduced himself. I almost ripped the dude to shreds and was sent to the principal's office.

Ms. Nar told my parents and they almost made us move. But thankfully I received a scholarship and if I left, started failing school, and stuff I would no longer have the opportunity. Thank the moon goddess.

I snapped out of daydreaming because of Lia's scent. It was near but I couldn't find her.

Lia's POV :3

I smelt Lee, reminded me of the old days. When I turned the corner I saw him looking for something then he immediately turned in my direction. Was he looking for me? He was talking to one of his friends. His friend walked up to me, "sooooo why don't you ever speak with my manz, broski?"

I scooted back, a bit uncomfortable mainly because the boys at my school had no filter. With words, actions, or anything. That's why I've always liked Lee, he was so different. I just hope he feels the same but given our current situation I don't think I'll ever know.

Lee walked up to the guy talking to me and dragged him away. I gave him a smile before he left, and he returned one. *RING RING* And that was the bell, we can never catch a break. By now it was around 2:50 pm and everyone went to their lockers to retrieve their belongings.

While I opened mine I saw a letter.

"Hey, it's me, your long-lost best friend. Remember me? Well, I sure hope so. . ."

"Been a while, come meet me at our old spot, at 7 pm. Both of our parents should be asleep by then."

Lee.

I almost squealed but I had to contain myself. Rashi was tripping out in the mind link, I couldn't get her to shut up. We don't know each other that well, she only just gained the ability to talk to me. I think Rashi appeared after I heard another female talking about cuffing Lee.

I felt like I was out of control and probably would've ripped her head off if it wasn't for my girl best friend. She's been keeping me sane through all of this. But I didn't have time to harp over the past, I should be getting ready for tonight. I'm hoping everything unfolds tonight. . .if not, my heart will fill with sorrow.
