Why I hate Middle Class Women

"I endured this pain day after day, drowned in the ocean of tears that weren't allowed to leave my eyes. I held on for long, but they didn't love to see that, they stepped upon my head, content to watch me drown in the emotional mess they caused." Seven relationships and all were doomed from the start. The same issues and the same outcome, all the girls he loved left him, cheated on him, stabbed him in the back. Was he hexed? Was he really the problem? Why did they never last? Chang Wu didn't know. All he knew was that, they were breaking his heart to smaller pieces every time they walked out of his life because he couldn't 'afford' them. He'd tried everything to the extent everyone called him a simp for women who wouldn't even do half of what he'd done for them. 'Why were all middle class women the same?' Why hadn't he met one that wouldn't push the burden of financial responsibilities on his shoulders. The more he thought of it, the more he bore hate, until he decided to give up on them, and aim for something higher.  Dating a rich woman was his next step. As impossible as it sounded and difficult to achieve, he thought the woman on the magazine cover that caught his attention would actually love him, not because of money because she already had that. There were problems, he had to live falsely to catch her eye and watch out for potential threats to avoid the truth from getting exposed, but how long would he pretend to be the opposite of what he truly was? How long would he lie? How long would he continue to live in fear? And most importantly, how would he put an end to the facade without getting his dream woman hurt?

Special chapter: Sweet tooth

Pasty flakes made of sugar, spice, and everything nice. A rare blessing to the tongue, and the number one snack that the world adores. To get one is a challenge. Only those ready for battle can reach it, but the thing is, only the capable warriors can walk into the shopping mall, and come back alive.

I, Jessica Ahn, have a fixed time as to when and where I buy pasty flakes. Immediately after work, I stop by Blops Shop to buy my favorite snack.

By 6:15pm, there'll be a pasty flake left on the rack, and in thirty seconds, I'll beat any contender that will attempt to get it before me. You can say I'm a pro for retrieving treasures, and by treasure, I mean this snack that's high in calories. Not like it matters because of my fast rate metabolism. For clarity It's not that fast, but I'm privileged to be one of those women that eat and not bother about adding weight.

Once Jessica parked her car and moved into the store, she froze. The last pasty flake was high on the shelf. It was unusual because it was normally positioned some place she could reach with ease.

Notwithstanding the new challenge, she took in a deep breath, calming herself, then reached out for the snack but before she could, someone beat her to it.

Her eyes widened, and her shoulders dropped in defeat before she met the gaze of the man that beat her perfect timing for the first time in two years.

"You?!" She grimaced, looking at Xin, who hadn't noticed her and cared very little about her presence. He walked past her, but she followed him at a fast pace until she overtook him.

"Did you do this for revenge?"

"I couldn't even tell it was you back there."

"I want it. I was there first!"

"Well, I grabbed it first" He attempted to move away from her yet she halted him again and he murmured, attempting to comprehend the purpose behind her frenzy.

"You should be happy I didn't call the police on you!"

"Okay" He kept a straight face before walking away again, and it made her jaw clench in frustration as she heaved.

"I want it!"

Xin ignored. That was the last one, and she didn't get to taste any that week. She also didn't expect him to be able to afford it, but he walked out of the store with it and the receipt.

"Damn that man" She cussed then stomped to her car, leaving the premises empty handed. She went back home, wallowing in her defeat, and plopped herself on her sofa immediately she stepped into her place.

Her Nanna noticed something was bothering her, so she asked what was wrong.

"I didn't get a pasty flake, a scum beat me to it."

"Don't worry, Jessica. I have one"

She sat up with her face beaming with excitement "Really?"

"Yes. This is one that was bought a week back. I believe you forgot you had this"

She swiftly took it from her Granny's hands and gobbled it all "I guess I wasn't defeated after all."
