He is no one like what they said

Serene was still watching TV when she got a call from her brother

"Hey my girl what's up?" Harry asked her from the other end of the phone.

"Scoff... Nothing boring, boring and boring." Serene mocked with frustration 'What she actually got to share even with anyone!'

Harry laughed happily but was satisfied that she is bored more instead of being more injured. She is very good at this, getting herself hurt is her expertise. "I knew you would say that. So how it's going."

"I have been on the couch since morning and watching the shitty movie one time again because I can't find my phone to buy a new movie. My life sucks" She crawled down on the couch more.

He frowned deeply "Oh my girl, you are suffering. Where is that shitty friend of mine, why is he not helping you." He left his sister to him so that he can take care of her.

"No it's not his fault. He just went out for an hour and just after that my subscription ended." She hurriedly explained. When Soham left, then only his TV showed some mercy to tell that their subscription is done, moreover she can't find her damn phone!

"Ohh where did he go?" He asked patiently.

"Some office work."

"And he left you alone for that."

"Why are you picking on him? He is a nice guy." She doesn't get it why do all people around him always say bad words about him. Like he is Cold hearted and the worst nature one can get but she doesn't find him that way at all.

Harry drily laughed scorned "Nice and Soham! Are you kidding me?" These two words never matched in this lifetime. Both are totally poles apart!

"I don't get it. I know he is cold hearted at first but when he will be your close friend, he will be really gentle to you." She has seen the difference between the past time Soham and the present Soham. She understands that people do get their own time to get comfortable with someone.

"Hello my little sister! Are you really talking about my friend Soham here." He exaggerately said.

"Of course." She confidently said.

He humourously laughed. "Then who is gentle." He jokingly asked. He won't believe her on this ever. He knows his friend very well.

"Harry! Believe me he isn't like what you people say. He takes care of me all the time these two days. He helps me with every single thing. Believe me I am actually on bed rest straight away since that night." Soham didn't let her do single things, every important stuff was always around her, no trouble.

"Help you? Like?" He asked curiously.

"Anything just ask."

"Feed you?"

She narrowed her eyes discontently. "Hey, my back hurts, not my hand. But he has cooked for me a number of times since I came, I am eating like a pig. What else does he need to do?" Moreover now she feels guilty about having him as her helper.

The phone went silent.... He was shocked to death. The description is totally not about his friend. About whom she is talking about.

"Woahhhh man. He is cooking for you!" He never heard his friend doing that!

"Yeah why?"

"He never cooked for any single person ever in his life!"

"Well he should. He is good at it." She evidently said. Till today whatever he cooked, food or snacks for her, it was best. She won't say that he is better than her brother but he is no more less than him either.

"What else?" He is liking this new kind story.

"I am not telling you anymore. You are judging him." She knew that he was mocking her and Soham indirectly. He won't believe whatever she says.

"Okay don't tell but do you think he changed in these two days?" If what she said is true by even 1% then why is he acting this way.

"Does he? Oh you think he might feel guilty about me, that's why he is doing it?"

Since the last few days even she finds it very odd that why would someone care about their new acquaintance, to this extent. Though she is sure that he is nice by heart but they aren't that close enough. If he is doing it because of a guilty conscience she won't accept.

Harry immediately denied that conclusion. "No I am sure he isn't a type of person who pays back his body to someone just because he is guilty. Moreover I never saw him feeling guilty for anyone."

She nodded agreeably. She knows that too by now. "I don't know. I just know that he isn't like someone you guys used to tell me."
