Chapter 25 Is David married...?

The room....the last room... finally Eva got the chance to go in it. Eva's curiosity always brings her to a new puzzle.

She was very excited to see David sir's secret. She entered the room, there was someone on the bed with a complete life support system (, mechanical breathing (ventilator), tube feeding, dialysis, etc ),

it was a young girl, of around Eva's age. She was completely unconscious. She gave her the feeding, and medicines and followed all the instructions written by Era. Eva started thinking

"who she could be. and why is she here? and the main thing is, what is her relation with David sir ? is she his sister? no, it can't be, why would he keep it a secret or his girlfriend? hmm maybe ...but, with his temper, I can't even imagine him being in a relationship..wait am I forgetting something...yes..!! the case file..."

she went near the bed and took the case file hanging there, and started reading. The name column was empty,....she searched for the guardian column,..there it was written David...she was surprised, and looked down at the relation column..she was shocked...to see it.

"HUSBAND...How could it be? why does no one know about it? oh...my ..god ...David sir is married...that to ...a secret marriage. What happened to her?"

Eva's mind was bursting out with soo many questions..her curiosity was endless now....she had many questions, which are nearly impossible to get the answers.... because the only one who can answer those,... is David sir. And he would never do that ... she would never dare to ask him.

David finished his work there and came running and asked her

" Are you done with the instructions I gave to you ?, Did you do it properly?"

he was very concerned, he saw Eva has her case file and took it away. Eva said,

" Yes sir, I am done with the work given don't worry I did it properly ".

He turned to the girl there and checked everything.

Eva thought,

"no doubt she is someone special to him. he is so concerned, ...but wife ...uhh I can't believe this...Mr. A freak is a married man",

He suddenly stopped doing that and turned to Eva and said,

"You can leave now...!!".

Eva was frustrated,

she thought

"uhh ... what an ungrateful man, I just did him a favor but he still freaks out... what could I expect from him "

she said

" yes sir ... aa sir can I ask....."

she was about to ask something but David interrupted her

" No .... no need to ask anything because I don't like to answer unnecessary questions, go to the ICU and monitor the critical patients... and remember don't dare to tell anyone about this... don't ever..!"

he said seriously. She has nothing to ask now... so she said

"yes sir "

and left calmly, but while leaving she turned back and said

" sir don't worry your secret is safe with me, you can ask me to check in here anytime...!!"

and left.

While getting back she was thinking about David sir and his secret wife..., but she saw Jerry coming there, hid in a patient's room and waited till he go away.

A little girl with gauze tied on her head, lying on the bed, said

"Hello, doctor are you playing hide and seek with someone",

Eva was shocked to hear someone talking to her, and she turned back to see a cute little girl talking to her, and came near to her,

"Hey, cutie how are you, do you feel pain anywhere.."

she asked her.

The cute girl looked at her and asked

"What should I call you? What is your name doctor? Are you a doctor or a nurse?"

Eva laughed and said

"My name is Eva, and I am a doctor you can call me Eva, and what's your name? ",

she said

" Hello Eva I am Izzy"

she stared at her with those twinkling eyes. She was so cute that Eva couldn't resist and kissed her, and said

"take a rest now, I'll be back to see you again"

she was about to leave,

"Eva do you know where are my mom and dad? Why aren't they coming to me? I miss them please ask them to come here"

Izzy said that and started to cry,

Eva came near her and hugged her

"no .. don't cry, Izzy... I know Izzy is a brave girl, ok let's be friends. I promise I'll go and ask for your parents and will be right back to you ...and you have to be good and sleep for a while...ok!."

said Eva, Izzy nodded her head and silently let Eva go. Eva left the room and went to the hospital reception, to ask for Izzy's parents.

The receptionist checked the list and said that no one enquired about their missing child till now, and if anyone comes she will inform her.

Eva promised Izzy that she'll find her parents, so she couldn't just sit aside and wait, so she got the list of the patients and started checking them one by one. She went to everyone who was brought there last night, but almost all have their guardian along and were not Izzy's parents.

When she was busy finding Izzy's parents, Jerry caught her again. David saw that and came running to help her. but this time she was not scared.

She hit him hard with her knee and warned him not to mingle with her, Jerry trembled with pain for some time and was about to go after her.

Eva went straight to the lobby and started talking to the police officer there, Jerry saw her and was terrified. She pointed her finger toward Jerry who was still talking to the police officer. Jerry panicked and escaped from there.

David saw this and thought that she is complaining about him to the police. He went down to stop it because it may cause a problem for both Jerry and Eva and Jerry may lose his license.

But when he went near her, he understood that she was not talking about Jerry, but looking for someone. He smiled and thought that she is not weak, and was impressed with her attitude.

Eva gave the police officer all the details about Izzy and requested them to enquire about her parents in the nearby hospitals where patients were taken in last night. The police officer assured Eva that he would do his best to find them. Eva relaxed a bit and went to Izzy.

David was curious about Eva so he followed her to Izzy's room and remembered that she was the same girl, Eva met this morning.

Everybody in the hospital was relaxed no, as the whole situation was under control. Most of them were tired and went to get some rest, the on-call room was filled and so was the canteen so Eva and Lara decided to go back to their rooms.

Eva thought about Izzy and went to buy a cake, and took that to her room, but she was already eating a sandwich. She went in and kept the cake on the table and asked her

" Who gave you this sandwich?" Izzy answered with a smile,

"another friend doctor".

Eva was surprised but thought someone like her might be concerned about her. She asked the nurse to monitor her and left from there to take some rest.

Ben had so many surgeries done last night so he was so tired and could hardly step out. David went to his room to schedule his surgeries that were postponed. Eva, Lara, and other interns returned to their rooms for a rest after a long battle of life.

With so many challenges yet to come Eva was ready to fight the battle.....but what challenges,
