17. Defeating the Black Ogre Pirates

Shit! I got careless.

This is truly a pirate, ruthless enough.

But still I won this trade. So my odds are still higher. The only thing I have to do is repay this a few more times. Just have to be more careful.

[Fourth move – Enter]

[Fifth move – Closing]

Having been at a disadvantage Captain Ogre, again fell into a rage and swung his club this time with all his might and both hands towards my head.

[Sixth move – Barricade]

I concentrate all my strength and aura inside myself, as I lifted my sword above me to defend the enemy's strike.

When we met, a loud explosion occurred and the deck beneath me slightly cracked. I also felt a very powerful vibration coursing through my body, but as I had focused all my strength inside, I didn't suffer all that much damage.

Captain Ogre on the other hand, suffered the consequences of our clash in full and he was slightly stunned, as he tried to withstand the pain and vibration that went through his body as it was with mine.

In the next moment, I took all this stored energy and burst it completely in one catastrophic strike.

[Seventh move – Destruction]

The ogre tried to block my strike, the same as I did his but the outcome was completely different.

A strong wave of air shot from our collision, splitting the ship in two. As for the ogre, he gained a huge wound across his chest, and his club was split in two. He was also currently lying before my feet out cold.

I won….

Although I won, but the victory was really hard fought. It was really close.

I looked at the enemy crew with cold eyes, trying to not let them show any weakness.

After only 15 minutes, all my personal belongings, was inside the new ship. I actually took everything, I only left them with enough food and water for a week. They should be able to reach the next island even with that wrack.

After these pirates were out of sight I finally heaved a sigh of relief and collapsed on the ground.

This fight was tougher than I thought. The ogre was really strong and I almost lost.

Although I was clearly stronger on paper, but his experience and willingness to trade injury's with me, or the general ruthlessness and decisiveness was truly something I still lacked, making him able to close the gap between our strength.

Truly a flower that's raised in a greenhouse can't compare to a flower that's raised in the outside in terms of toughness.
