"Lin Shi ,"said a whispery voice piercing through my thoughts. I'm brought back from the dark depths of my mind to the glaring brightness of the room around me. I slowly look up to the eyes of the woman sitting across from me a pair of glasses highlighting the silver flecks in her cool gray eyes. She looks like the stereotypical therapist. Her hands are tapping lightly on the arm of the chair shes sitting on, her eyes bore into mine like a challenge.

I accept.

"Yes, Ms. Tang," I force a smile on my face looking back into her eyes defiance flaring up inside me. I feel my posture straighten and my brain automatically picks out the physical weaknesses she carries. Though nothing would prepare for what she said next.

"Tell me what happened."

Her words bring back a flash of memories. Him staring at me in horror. His words. My lies. A tsunami of emotions threaten to rip through my defenses. I feel my eyes clouding up with tears as I can still see his back as he walked away from me. Leaving me.

Those words might just be the only truth that has passed my lips.
