The Truth Of Vandhill

Elizabeth sat there for a few hours until it was almost noon, scanning the area like a predator watching out for its prey. Her eyes under the sun has a golden glow to them.

The matter that she had swept aside for a brief moment slowly resurfaced, yet she couldn't bring herself to believe that Jayce had a hand in any of the recent happenings or the matter regarding Vandhill, Jayce appeared to be too innocent for that. Unable to hold in her bubbling curiosity, she dialled his number in the heat of the moment, and he picked up after the first ring.

"Liz?"

"Uhm…Jayce-" She immediately regretted calling him, she had nothing to say nor did she know how to begin or what to ask that wouldn't sound to weird or give out any information.

"Jayce, do you know of a town called V-"

"Brian! Officer Brian!" A man yelled, suddenly grabbing her jacket. The tattered looking man fell to the floor but still didn't let go off her jacket.
