A day of rest

"You got any news?" She asked as soon as Dyson spoke.

"No, not yet." He gave a brief reply and a tense silence followed right after. Both sides said nothing but had a million things going through their minds.

Elizabeth breathed in sharply before speaking up, "We need to talk."

"About what?" Dyson's aloof voice mirrored his uninterest in whatever she had to say.

"The investigation." She replied.

"You should ask questions or report to Cheif Inspector Vans." Dyson said.

"We're partners, I have something I need to ask you…urgently." Elizabeth pushed further, She wouldn't just give up because he showed uninterest.

Dyson remained silent for a while before complying, "Fine. Where do we meet?"

"At the station of course but not today." Elizabeth responded, She glanced at her computer then the string theory board, "Maybe in the next two days." She added and disconnected the call without waiting for Dyson's reply.
