After a while, the atmosphere at the academy returned to serenity as the sky began to turn crimson due to a spell being cast by a spell caster who was standing at the academy's perimeter.
Lynorr and Ayrton entered the dining hall as Arlo opened the door, and they noticed Ophni already seated at the table, devouring every appetizer.
"Are you a royal at all?" Lynorr expressed her dissatisfaction, but Ophni didn't care.
"What's for dinner today?" Caspian, a servant, was questioned by Arlo.
"His highness, prince Ophni has asked to make a feast of every kind of meat," Caspian replied with a bow.
"What?" Arlo questioned again, shocked.
Ayrton sat down at the table next to Lynorr, who was already sitting, "Stop overreacting and sit down." Ayrton said to Arlo.
After finishing the last appetizer, Ophni turned to look for Lydan. "Where is Lydan?" Ophni asked.
"He is in Feron's room," Lynorr replied while maintaining her contemptuous expression.
As he recalled what he had seen in today's class, Ophni sat upright in his chair as he looked at the others who were sitting at the table, "I need to tell Feron this." Ophni thought to himself.
Arlo recognized Lynorr's signal and turned to face Ophni after she flashed him a signal with her eyes on him.
"Ophni, could you tell to us what you saw back then?" Arlo asked.
Lynorr murmured, eventually returning her disgusted visage to normal, "Gage is not here so it should be fine"
Ophni hesitated before agreeing as Arlo signaled for the servants to depart and deliver dinner, "It was something that I never see before," Ophni blurted out as they all turned to look at him, including Ayrton.
...
Peter opened the door to Feron's room and bowed to Lydan, "This way, your highness."
Lydan smiled as he entered the room and gave a little nod.
Lydan's notion mumbled, "When will you wake up again?" As he stared at Feron, who was unconscious in his bed.
"How is he doing?" Lydan gestured to Peter.
Peter replied while lowering his head; "The physician checked him today and he said he will wake up anytime soon.
"Are you Feron's servant?" Looking at Peter, Lydan made a gesture.
Peter responded, "I do, Your Highness." As he made a bow and left Lydan alone in the room with Feron. "You too noticed something, right?" Lydan thought to himself as he sent a forlorn glance in Feron's direction.
A short while later, as Lydan was staring down, Feron opened his eyes and fixed Lydan in his gaze.
"What?" Lydan jerkily turned to stare at Feron as he heard him mumble.
Lydan observed Feron's terrified countenance as he moved a little closer to him "What was that?" Lydan jerked back after he suddenly heard Feron's yell.
With a jolt, Feron sprang up and stepped out of bed, asking, "What was that?" Feron yelled once again.
Lydan tried to gesture in an attempt to make sense, but when he realized Feron had suddenly knelt on the ground, he stopped and sprinted toward him.
"Are you ok?" Lydan signed as he grasped Feron by the shoulders and stared deeply into his eyes. He held Feron's shoulder with one hand while making a gesture with the other.
Feron looked toward Lydan as he was thinking about the commodity he had seen behind Lydan. "Do you not know?" Lydan was unable to hear Feron's murmuring as he was anxiously looking at the door.
Feron shrieked, "Listen to me!" As Lydan jolted to a stop and turned to face him.
"Pardon?" In his head, Lydan said.
"You're unaware of what was in the classroom behind you, right?" Lydan blinked in confusion as Feron questioned.
"Behind me?" Lydan made a sign.
Feron sprung to his feet and jolted toward the table, his body trembling as he asked, "How are you involved with such a thing?" Feron yelled as he pushed a glass vase off the table, causing a loud resounding crash.
...
Ophni remarked, "You know that we have a white smoke around us that indicates our power, but the first time that I examined Lydan with my see-through power, I saw he was surrounded by a black smoke just like Feron when he lost control but it was darker than his"
Ayrton thought, paying close attention to what Ophni was saying, "So, that's what happened at that time."
"And when I told Professor Edward about this at our orientation, he advised me to keep it a secret, but today in our class, Lydan broke free from his chains by simply thinking about it," Ophni went on.
"Then?" Arlo asked, a look of wonder on his face.
"What did you observe?" After Arlo, Lynorr spoke out loud.
"I saw every color of smoke suddenly form around him; I could only see it for a single second, and when Lydan came closer to me, I noticed his eyes scintillating a blue spark," Ophni added.
"How is this possible?" In a shocked tone, Arlo mumbled.
"Such a situation has never occurred before, and a spark scintillating in his eyes? I've never heard of anything like it before in our magical annals "Ayrton's head was racing with thoughts.
Lynorr remarked, "Feron must know something about that."
"When he awakens, I'll let him know," Ophni remarked.
Ayrton questioned, "Did you see something else?"
Lynorr murmured as she remembered, "I think I remembered something."
"What?" Looking at her, Arlo questioned.
"Feron was looking at Lydan on the day of our second effort to flee this place, all frightened before he passed out," Lynorr continued.
Arlo declared, "I didn't see anything."
Lynorr rolled her eyes and remarked, "That's because you were busy treating Feron's wounds."
Ophni responded, "Yeah, I saw Lydan was breathing heavily that day, and his face was pale too."
"Is there any connection between this and his locket, which was also shining?" Ayrton was in his thoughts.
"Why am I unable to witness such a thing?" Arlo grumbled.
Everyone in the dining room was startled as a loud, crashing voice suddenly echoed from the ceiling.
