When the night comes

"Let me fall in love with you." With his ocean blue eyes, he looks at me. "I can't ...We are enemies." "I-" I know that. I doubt anyone knows it better than us. But still I can't help it. I want to love you. I want you to love me. I want us to be together. I wish I could declare this to whole world. Slowly extending his hands towards me, he says"One day we will not be enemies, maybe then we can be lovers." What do I say to that? Do I tell him I will wait... Or question him when? I have so many questions to ask him. But again how do I break it to him. "..." "n.." His gaze stuck on me for a while finally disappears. Facing straight, he finally breaks the silence with a soft wispher"Not just lovers." "Yes." I question him not believing my ears. Maybe the whistle of air is hindering my hearing. He whimpers. Completely turning away his head, he adds"Not just lovers but spouses." "Are you proposing to me?" I couldn't believe my ears, I couldn't believe reality. I am dreaming, aren't I? Maybe the night's cold is finally getting to me. "Yes,I will you accept?" He heard that. Noway did I speak aloud? Huh. The tips of his ear are little red. He is so cute. I can't help but smile to that. "You do realize you are asking me to wait to date right?" He turns and stares me down in eyes. He looks pitful. Maybe to an outsiders, it looks like I am bullying him. "I will give you the answer when we aren't enemies. He looked away. He had a frown on his face. "When the night comes, will we meet again." I asked him, gazing upon the stars in the sky. " When the night comes, I will also come with it." His replied made my heart tingle. "But I don't know about you." My face had a soft smile.

Chapter 4: Silver light

A very old saying goes in Anselma. One which is familiar to each and every one of its citizen. When the night comes, twilight will be powerful, more powerful than the gods. Even the divine intervention won't be able stop his wrath, his love, his emotion. When night comes, Twilight's existence will be special. His existence will be essential. And now Solis can't help but ponder about it.

Solis had been sitting in the room Twilight had given her. Smells of different flowers lingered in the soft atmosphere. The room felt comfortingly warm compared to the cold out there. Solis quite liked it here. Everything felt soft in there. Almost like her guardian angel had been protecting her. The view from the room truly was captivating even in night. She couldn't help but wonder what beauty the sun will bring in that view.

Solis slowly let herself fall in the bed. The bed was the right amount of soft. It was perfect. Only if she would be able to lay here in different situation. Maybe then she would have fallen in love with the room. But no matter how much she thought from, it was definitely a lady's room. What a peculiar dragon she had met.

A dragon gaining more power than the gods. The mere thought of it, gave headache to a priest like her. But she couldn't deny it either. Just a moment before, she had stood before him. His aura was encapsulating. Even a priest who had trained her whole life had been enticed by his existence. Even though it was for a moment.

"A existence above god, an idea absolutely despised at. The concept brought to light by a mere existence, Twilight." Solis mumbled. The world's soon mingled with the silent yearning of the wind.

So why? Why has he not done anything? Even though his other half as he claims has been stolen. Why has he remained so silent?

Silver light. As far as Solis could remember, Twilight never came to capture Silver light. The elders before her, the king and even his ex fiance had told her Silver light. They proclaimed it to be a crystalized form of Twilight's power. Even though none of them have ever lay their eyes on it.

It was discovered by an very old and powerful saint. The divine saint Oskar. The mere name of that being spited Solis. He was very much responsible for Solis's current state. He belongs to the family of one of dukes, Solstitial. The abundant summer. He had cultivated his power over many centuries.

The Silver light he had discovered was the primary source of energy few decades ago. Oskar has the only right to even view that thing. So nobody knows what Silver light truly is. People believe Oskar to be a divine bridge between the mortal realm and celestial heaven. The most powerful being in Anselma will be an understatement. Along with the possession of Silver light, he could also be called the true king of Anselma.

Silver light, a power source capable of opening the gates to heaven. A stone that dragon longs for. Solis had always found it odd, that Oskar had been able to capture half of Twilight power. He certainly was powerful but in comparison to most powerful dragon, he could be called a mere pest. Solis couldn't help but ponder.

Even after thinking about it for minutes, she could only land to one conclusion, to sigh at all the problems in front of her. It felt like someone had placed weights on her shoulder. She felt heavy. Her eyes were in verge of giving in to the sleep she longed for. Her feet's hurt from walking barefoot in the forest.

Solis very much wanted to see the king and Oskar suffer. As for her fiance, Aster and Anabelle, she couldn't help but wonder why. Just a day before, they abandoned her, Aster and Anabelle told her about the crown prince's letter. Even they consoled her. And today, Aster was the one who dragged her to the forest. Anabelle was nowhere to be found. Solis wonder what witchcraft did Oskar placed everyone in. Maybe it wasn't witchcraft but she wished to believe so.

"If he hadn't left for diplomatic reasons...." Would things be different? But Solis could not bring herself to say those last sentence aloud. Solis felt like something had consumed her. Something had been pressing her heart.

"What did he used to say in these situations? " Clear you mind and think again. Solis never thought she would use these words to cheer herself from the problem given by him. She felt shallow. The comforting room felt suffocating. She stood up and opened the window. Twilight had already come. The soft ray from rising sun had been slowly lighting the world. The scene outside the window was really beautiful.

Solis even though the scene Infront of her was a part of a painting. Flowers filled the garden. The flowers were arranged by colour. It was a very abstract way to fill the garden but it was still pretty. Yellow flower in center. Then came green and then blue. Colour mixing. Does Twilight has OCD or something.

The breeze was calm. That breeze carried sorrow, hatred, love, joy. Solis felt it's soft tingling in her skin. The breeze certainly did calm her down. Solis wanted to lay in that soft bed and let her body have rest. But she didn't want to move from there either.

"There is a long day ahead. Let's just go to bed." Solis said softly finally giving in. Solis hoped the sun will cover the globe and bring forth change. Starting today, things had to be different. She can't go back. It will not be possible anymore. Aster, Anabelle, my love, I just want to know why. Solis thought as she let her body slowly melt in the state of her dreams. Solis hoped it would go back to the way it was.
