chapter forty one Dinner(2)

With surprising strength, Kiara pushed her chair back and stood up, a playful glint in her eyes. "Well, if you insist, Mr. Responsible. Lead the way."

As they made their way outside, the cool night air seemed to sober Kiara up slightly. She leaned on Sefra for support, a mixture of amusement and embarrassment coloring her features.

Sefra hailed a cab, intending to take her back to her own place. But as they stood there, the thought of leaving her alone in her current state didn't sit well with him.

"Kiara, I... I can't take you to David's house in this condition," he admitted, his gaze conflicted.

Kiara giggled, her hand on her chest dramatically. "Oh, heavens forbid! What would David think of me?"

Sefra's brow furrowed. "Kiara, this isn't a joke. You're not in a state to be left alone."

She pouted, her demeanor suddenly more serious. "Then what's the plan, oh responsible one?"

He hesitated, his gaze shifting to the cab. "Come with me. You can stay with me like you used to."

Kiara's eyes widened in surprise, the alcohol-induced haze momentarily lifting. She stared at him, her mind grappling with the idea. It was a proposition that seemed both absurd and oddly tempting.

She finally nodded, her expression a mix of reluctance and acceptance. "Fine. But don't get any ideas, Sefra."

He chuckled softly, helping her into the cab. "I promise, Kiara. No ulterior motives."

As the cab pulled away, Sefra glanced at Kiara, her head leaning against the window. Despite the circumstances, he couldn't help but feel a sense of connection, a spark of something that had the potential to grow.

The night was a testament to their shared vulnerabilities, an evening that had peeled back layers of anger and mistrust. As they arrived at his home, Sefra knew that their journey was far from over, but perhaps it was a step towards understanding and forgiveness.

The cab ride to Sefra's home seemed to pass by in a blur for Kiara, her mind swirling with a mixture of alcohol-induced haze and a strange sense of nostalgia. The familiarity of the environment hit her as they stepped inside, her heart skipping a beat as she recognized the surroundings. This had been her home once, and the memories rushed back

with a force she hadn't expected.

She turned to Sefra, her cheeks flushed and her eyes alight with a strange mixture of emotions. "I remember this place. It used to be..."

Her voice trailed off as Sefra met her gaze, his own expression mirroring a myriad of sentiments. She could see understanding in his eyes, a shared acknowledgment of the past they had both lived through – a past that was deeply intertwined.

"Let's go inside," Kiara said, her voice slightly breathless as the memories flooded back.

Sefra nodded, a mixture of apprehension and curiosity evident in his features. As they stepped further into the house, the weight of their shared history seemed to hang heavy in the air. Kiara's heart raced as she moved through the familiar hallways, her fingers brushing against the cool surfaces of the walls.

It was as though she was drunk and didn't care that Sefra was behind her, they both shared the house and when she left, she didn't realize she missed it this much.

"Kiara," Sefra's voice was a low murmur, the intensity of the moment hanging between them.

She turned to him, her cheeks still flushed, and for a moment, she forgot about the present, lost in the tide of memories. But before she could say anything, before she could acknowledge the emotions that swirled within her, Sefra's lips were on hers.

Her breath caught in her throat as his kiss ignited a fire within her, a fierce intensity that had been building beneath the surface. The shock of the moment was electrifying, and as his lips moved against hers, she found herself responding, her fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt.

Kiara's mind was a whirlwind of sensations – the taste of him, the touch of his hands on her waist, the warmth that enveloped them. It was as if the past and present were colliding, and she couldn't deny the chemistry that existed between them.

It was nothing like when David kissed her,she didn't feel electricity flowing through her like she did with Sefra.

And then, just as suddenly as it had begun, Sefra pulled away, his breathing slightly ragged. The air between them crackled with unspoken words, the weight of their shared history hanging heavy.

"I'm sorry," Sefra's voice was a rough whisper, his gaze a mix of longing and regret. "I shouldn't have..."

Kiara's heart raced, her mind a jumble of conflicting emotions. She took a step closer, her fingers gently touching his lips, silencing his apologies. "Don't be."

The air was charged with the tension of the moment, the weight of their past and the uncertainty of their future. But in that instant, as they stood in the midst of memories and desire, Kiara couldn't deny the connection that had always existed between them. The path ahead was still uncertain, but perhaps they were both finally ready to confront the truth that had eluded them for so long.

Sefra lets go in,she said and he nodded carrying her to his room.

They ended up kissing for a much longer time and she began tugging at his clothes but he didn't comply an kept on kissing her,she wasn't content with the kiss and wanted more but he didn't want to stool too low to do anything to her as she was drunk, she soon fell asleep and he helped her change into one of her clothes that was still there and went to the bathroom to take a cold shower.

It was a long shower and after he was done,he put on his pyjamas before lying on the side of the bed where Kiara was sleeping soundly.

He wasn't asleep as he smiled while looking at the ceiling remembering the event of that day and soon fell asleep with a smile on his face.
