Reach For Survival

Abraham kept running as he heard the sound of the dog barking from behind him.He looks back and see's the dog is right behind him and getting closer.Abraham runs to a corner and the dog follows and keeps running not realising Abraham was above him holding onto the wall.Abraham breaths a sigh of relief and he realises he can see the end of the maze from where he was.He also see's Sarah in the distance.He jumps down and runs in the direction he saw her.Meanwhile with Sarah she was running away.The dog behind her was nervously close.She kept running and running with everything she had but ultimately she reached a dead end and the dog cornered her.She pulled out the gun she had and pull the trigger but nothing fired.The gun has jammed.The dog jumps at her and she threw it in the digs mouth and ran passed it.She calls out Abraham's name but there was no response

Sarah:"Abraham please be okay."

She kept running and calling out Abraham's name.Abraham himself is doing the same. After a few minutes Sarah hears her name being called out.She yells back asking if the person was Abraham. She turns a corner to see Blake at the end of the corridor.He shoots her in the stomach and she falls to the ground.She screams in pain and Abraham hears her scream.He runs in the screams direction.She crawls backwards but Blake steps on her stomach with a smile on his face.

Blake:"This is why Little Red Riding Hood.You dont try and take the prey of the wolf."

He kicks her in the stomach and aims the gun at her head.

Blake:"Goodnight."

Blake is about to pull the trigger when he was tackled by Abraham.Blake drops the gun and Abraham pins Blake to the ground.

Abraham:"Sarah! Get the gun!"

Sarah crawls to the gun and picks it up.She forces herself up and she shoots Blake but she misses and hits him in the leg.She then gets jumped by one of the dogs and it bites her shoulder.She screams in pain and drops the gun.Abraham picks it up an shoots the dog dead.

Abraham helps Sarah stand up when they see the other dog arrive.Blake also gets up and takes out another gun from his bag.He points it at them but Abraham shoots him dead and shoots the dog.He falls to the ground from exhaution.Sarah walks toward him and he sits her down and washes off the blood with some water.He covers the wound with a spare shirt and he carries her and continue walking.

Sarah:"Thanks Abraham."

Abraham:"Dont mention it.Now we need to find Chris."

Sarah:"But how will we kill him? He's very dangerous and in our current state we might not be able to do anything."

Abraham:"I think for now we try to befriend him and we'll backstab him when his guard is down.Thats the only way we can kill him."

He walks for a few minutes and he finds a staircase.Sarah asks to be put down and Abraham does so.They both walk down the stairs to find a bodies everywhere.

Abraham:"I have a feeling we're not alone here."

Sarah:"Do you think that was Chris?"

Abraham:"Maybe but it could've been anyone.Be careful."

They keep walking and found a medical room.They walk in to find beds and other equipment but the place was completely deserted.They dealt with their injuries and rested for a bit.They ate,they talked and after a while they got up to leave.When they walk out they ran into Dr.Mason. When they saw him they were surprised and Abraham and Sarah pulled out their guns and aimed it at him.

Sarah:"What are you doing here?!"

Dr.Mason:"Is this any way to treat the adults?"

Abraham:"Answer the question!"

Dr.Mason:"Im here to bring you to your target obviously."

Dr.Mason pointed to a hallway

Dr.Mason:"Go through here and you'll reach Chris Johnson in no time but you better hurry.If he gets out of the maze before you two then you'll lose."

Abraham:"Wait.You never told us what happens if we walked out of the maze without the item we needed."

Dr.Mason:"Whoops I forgot. If you do you'll die. Its that simple. Now come on. Time is of the essence."

Dr.Mason started walking into the hallway and Sarah and Abraham hesitantly followed.

They walked for a few minutes in silence before Abraham broke the silence.

Abraham:"Why are you helping us? "

Dr.Mason started to laugh.

Dr.Mason:"I might aswell help some dead children before they meet their demise."

Sarah:"What is that suppose to mean?!"

Dr.Mason:"I honestly doubt you'll survive your fight against Chris Johnson but I cant say for certain."

Abraham:"How are you so sure?"

Dr.Mason:"Well for starters your plan to backstab him wont work because we wont allow it."

Sarah:"Why not?!"

Dr.Mason:"Im watching you brats for the action not this sad show for survival. I want blood and pain to fill the rooms and speakers. So im not going to wait to see some action. Its either fight for your survival or die and in your current state your not going to survive for long."

Sarah:"This isnt fair! We're in no condition to fight and your putting us through this now?! Why are you all so nice to Chris but not to us?!"

Dr.Mason laughs again

Dr.Mason:"I see you dont know anything do you? Chris Johnson earned what he has because he fought for what he has. Earlier on he was pushed of a ledge by one of your friends and was severely injured. He was then attacked by multiple people and he still fought for his survival without complaining about the fairness of the situation. At the end he made it but got shot multiple times in the process while trying to save a little girl in his injured state. If anything your in a much better state then he was during his fight."

They were both silent before Abraham spoke up.

Abraham:"Where is he now?"

Dr.Mason:"Somewhere.I give my condolences for you two as I doubt you'll survive."

They reach the end of the corridor and Dr.Mason point right in front of them.

Dr.Mason:"Keep walking straight and you'll find him."

Dr.Mason turns around and walks back into the corridor and left.

Sarah:"So what do we do now?"

Abraham:"I..I dont know."
